“I had an emergency and needed someone to take my two rough collies on their twice-daily walks. One is a retired service dog who is deaf, and the other is a young collie with epilepsy. Because of their special needs, I was quite anxious about finding the right person. Caitlin was exactly what I needed. She had a calm, reassuring presence and was warm, gentle, and playful with both dogs. She quickly understood their individual needs. By the second day, they were eagerly waiting for her arrival. Luna, the service dog, had never “done her business” on a leash before, but with Caitlin, she had no hesitation. Seeing that I have limited mobility, Catlin asked if there were other things she could do to be helpful.. I admire her initiative and appreciated her help. About: I have been pet sitting for roughly 10 years. It started when I was young just caring for my friends dogs and cats when they went out of town but has evolved into a small client base that I want to expand. I have cared for mostly senor dogs, providing them with medication as it was prescribed, ensuring they were safe when outside, and updating owners on any changes in behavior and physical condition. Recently I have gotten my own dog who is now three years old and that is the most experience I had with puppies but I do know quite a bit about training and am willing to care for young dogs as well. Because she is my own dog, she must be able to come with me to overnight stays, she is very friendly with dogs, cats, and even horses!. I love dogs with all my heart and grew up with them in the house. I don't have any cats in my family but I do know how important they are to their family and I love to take care of the cats I have taken care of in the past. I truly believe our pets are part of the family and deserve care and comfort when their humans are away. I am a full time student currently so I don't have the most time in the world but I am more than happy to take a break from school work to play and walk with pets and then maybe hang out together while I study before their dinnertime! I like to get a rough idea of the pets typical schedule and stick as close to that as possible, making sure everyone is fed on time, walked when walks are needed, and generally keeping them on the same schedule they are used to! I have found this to be the best option as it gives the pets a sense of normalcy in their routine while the family is away.

About: Ever since my family got a collie as a pet when I was a kid, I have been in love with dogs. That has only enhanced as I’ve grown older and cared for my own. I am currently working remotely from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to care for and love on your pets. Prior to walking your pets or stopping by for feedings or playtime, I would like to meet you and your pets first, if possible. That way we can make sure we all feel comfortable! It will also give us a chance to talk through instructions and expectations. I know this isn't always feasible and that's ok.

About: Retired from workforce, former military, active person, daily walks with our dogs—neighborhood, parks, trails. Worked with certified dog trainer for our two dogs. Time on my hands. I am retired and have plenty of time when not playing with our own two dogs and exercising. They are the center of our lives. We have a fenced in back yard for our dogs. Since I am retired, and my wife works part time, I spend most of my time with our dogs. We will not bring client’s pets to our home nor will my wife be a caretaker.

About: I have professional experience caring for dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments as a kennel care attendant. I'm also working towards my bachelor's degree in wildlife rehabilitation! I've owned all kinds of pets growing up from dogs and cats to mice, bunnies, birds, fish, and even a snake and a frog. I will treat your pets the same as my own, with respect and complete adoration. I'll even send you pictures of your pets during each visit for when you're missing your babies. I'm currently working towards a bachelor's of science degree, so I'll be pretty busy in the morning on weekdays (when in Banner elk, nc). My schedule usually calms down after 12pm, except Teusdays which are very busy. Please feel free to message me about what you're looking for and we can see if things will work out. I will not be able to stay at your house 24/7 due to my schedule. I will also have to go home for school breaks (winter/summer/spring). When I am at home (Newport News, VA), I will be available 24/7. Just message me and I'll let you know if my location has changed or will be changing before the date you need. But I will be doing my best to change my location on here in a timely manner. I'm a big advocate for playtime. I won't just stand around your house during the scheduled visits and let your dog be bored. We'll play with toys and run around and if you have a fenced in yard you can be sure I'll be out there throwing a tennis ball or playing tug of war with your pup until they're exhausted. I'll make sure our walks leave your dog well excersized and ready to nap for hours after we get home.

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was a toddler. I have fostered, pet sat for friends and family many times and recently lost my own dog of 13 years. I recently retired and miss having a pup in my life. I’m available and flexible for daily walks as well as able to provide boarding in my home. I am very attentive and loving toward all fur babies. I’m a firm believer that exercise and interactive play is essential in developing a bond with each pup.

About: Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me. I am a potter who works from my home studio, and I make my own schedule- so I can generally be flexible and accommodate your pets needs. I love having pets in my home, and breaking away from my studio to get some fresh air and puppy/kitty love too! If I’m working on a big project, it’s nice to have to flexibility to come and go from my studio when possible, or have your pet there with me- but I have worked out all kinds of house sit/drop in/boarding arrangements according to the needs of clients and their pets. Let’s talk! I live in a peaceful home with a large fenced in backyard, and nice quiet streets to walk with your pet as needed. I will follow whatever routines you generally stick to and prefer when working with your animals. Give me all the details of your needs and preferences, boundaries and particulars- no matter what type of sit- so I can be sure you and your pet(s) feel a sense of trust, ease, and predictability.

About: I have taken care of animals ever since I was young. I would get paid to walk dogs and to check on cats and fish. I love hanging out with all animals! Being in college, it makes it hard to have one of my own, but this will allow me to opportunity to be around all the animals that I love! I just graduated from Wake Forest University, where I played volleyball. Volleyball taught me a lot about discipline and also shows that I am a very reliable person when it comes to scheduling and time management. I am a current graduate student in the SLP (speech-language pathology) program at App State and am available most evenings and all weekends! At school there is plenty of grass for the dogs to run around and I am able to bring the crate and everything into my apartment if needed. Cats, I am also available to do whatever is helpful and needed! I have my own space with no other animals!

About: I grew up with two dogs in my house, a pug and an English lab. I have extensive experience caring for animals and have cared for many pets for neighbors, friends, and family since I was in my teenage years. I am able to walk high energy dogs and have the flexibility with my schedule to spend 30 minutes to one-hour visits if needed. I am currently job hunting; therefore, my schedule is flexible. I have the time to care for your animals based on your schedules and can make any times work. I can commit to short but frequent visits and/or longer drop ins that can include a walk and some play time. I am able to drive to your house and safely care for your animals. I grew up with animals and around animals making me comfortable with all breeds and temperaments. I am extremely detail oriented and have wide experience house sitting and dog/cat sitting. I enjoy getting animals outside for walks or taking them to a dog park for fresh air and new smells.

About: Throughout middle and high school I was a local dog sitter to several different families in my neighborhood. Now, I spend my time volunteering at the local animal shelter or pet sitting. I currently am in graduate school at Appalachian State. I am only in class Monday and Tuesdays and the rest of the week I work part time at a school. I’m able to come home in between classes to spend time with pets and let them outside. I care for pets like I would my own! I make sure that they have everything they need for their happiness and wellbeing. Dogs and cats get especially anxious when their owners leave, so I understand the importance of giving them extra love and care!

About: No animal is too much for me! Snakes, rats, anything! I love any species of animal, and no animal is too hard for me to take care of! The rarer the better! Just give me the rundown of what your pet needs, and I can do it! No matter how nasty or scary! I can care for pets as much as you need! Obviously, I need to take care of my little kitty, Binx, but I will always find time for your pets as well! Any pet is as precious as my own to me! I care for my kitty, Binx, like he is my own son. He is spoiled, and everyone loves him! He is the kindest kitty and was raised to know what and what not to do. He's a smart little fella, and the way I raised him is definitely a huge factor in this.

About: My family have always owned at least 4 dogs at a time and growing up it was our responsibility as kids to care for them. We would brush them, walk them, feed them, and bath them. I recently graduated with an MBA from East Tennessee State University and I’m working full time as a marketing manager for Ballad Health Medical Associates. I work 3 in days in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and work 2 days remotely Monday and Friday. My job is 2 minutes from my home so I would be able to check on your dog during lunch or check on them at your place. For this reason I don’t accept house sitting on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday that are more than 10 miles away. They will have my attention at all time. They might get tired of me wanting to play with them. I love being around dogs and will make sure your fury friend is well taken care of and happy
