Savana was great with our pups, giving them all the attention they needed and then some! We didn’t have to worry. They were in their home and loved for 9 days and we appreciate all she did! Looking forward to next time! 💕

This is my first time using Rover. Vicki came for a Meet & Greet . She was lovely and confident. I booked an overnight just to be sure it was a good fit as I’m leaving out of country for 11 days. Vicky was great with my dogs who are older and one is anxious and pretty blind. They also require heart meds and some assistance. I would recommend her, she communicated very well. My house was just as I left it which I appreciate. I’m pleased to find someone I feel comfortable leaving my pups with 🙌

Tessa took care of two cats and two dogs. One of the cats required a pill every day and one of the dogs needed pills as well. One of the dogs was a senior and needed help with stairs. Tessa did a fantastic job with all of it. I have no fence so she had the added job of leashing and walking the dogs numerous times a day. I would not hesitate to employ and recommend her.

That’s such a sweet detail — here’s the updated review with that added in: ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She was absolutely wonderful with Ozzie, Molly, and Pita. Her calm, low-key energy was just what they needed. When I got home, everyone was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. She even took the time to run water for Pita, which he loves. It was such a thoughtful touch! It gave me real peace of mind knowing they were in such capable and caring hands. I’ll definitely be using her again.

Yeni was absolutely great! She watched our pups, Izzie and Georgie, for the night while we attended a wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier. She took wonderful care of them and left the house exactly the way we left it. We highly recommend her and would absolutely trust her with our pups again!

About: I usually work with shy, aggressive or fearful dogs or cats. It can take weeks, months or years to befriend them but when you do it's extremely rewarding, especially when an animal someone deems "dangerous" comes out to be the biggest sweetheart. I have tons of patience and I believe every species of animal deserves love and respect. As humans, it's our duty to be the voices and guardians of the animals in our care. They look to us for comfort, guidance, love and peace. That's why I do anything in my power to donate or volunteer at animal shelters because every animal should know that there's humans out there that actually care about their well being. Working with animals is a great career for me. Update; 8/2020 I’ve been volunteering and working with pets as a professional pet care provider for five years now. Through my journey I’ve learned pet CPR and gained dog training knowledge through Poochpals llc as well as worked as a dog handler at walterspetstyles. I’m currently working on becoming a certified dog trainer and furthering my knowledge on Pet care. At Poochpals we believe in being a friend for life so I’m definitely bringing our motto into the field and looking to become a furever friend for your pets. If you’re ever in need of an actual PROFESSIONAL pet care provider, look no further! I also have basic training knowledge so don’t be surprised if your pup or cat comes back knowing a few new tricks 😂 I have open availability Monday-Sunday. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! My dog, Odin, loves to make new friends of all species. Updates:4/7/2026 Hello friends! I would not be at 29 Hanford anymore due to instability, so I’m moving my business down to NYC before heading to PA. We have multiple fences in house and around the property. Pups are also supervised 24/7 and we have a designated dog room just for them. Back porch is also secured with gates. Dogs aren’t allowed on the lawn without human supervision and a 20ft leash. Lawn is fenced. We have strict safety procedures when it comes down to pets and children.

About: I have over 16 years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all sizes, temperaments, and needs. I’ve supported dogs through daily care, feeding routines, long walks, playtime, medication administration, and providing comfort while their owners are away. I’m highly intuitive, attentive, and patient, making animals feel safe, calm, and cared for in their own environment. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I take pride in adapting my care to meet their individual needs. Whether it’s an energetic pup who loves adventure or a more sensitive pet who needs a gentle presence, I create a nurturing, reliable experience for both pets and their owners. I offer a flexible schedule and am available for mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight care. I’m open to weekday and weekend bookings and can accommodate consistent routines or last-minute requests when needed. About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was 10! I have experience with all different breeds, I even have 5 dogs of my own! All breeds are welcome 🤗 I am currently a fully online student and I control my own schedule. My calender is open for whatever days you need! Please feel free to reach out with any questions! 😊 I will not be able to pet sit in my own home, since I have so many animals. However, I am more than happy to care for your pet in your own home, going on walks, bathing, etc.

Thank you, Teadie, for taking such good care of our Imo. Your photos and frequent updates enabled us to really enjoy our vacation. Imo was very content upon our return and, we’re sure, would enjoy your sitting for him again!!! And thank you for taking care of the linen and towels…you didn’t need to do that, but it was very much appreciated!

We could not be happier with Jade! She came to our rescue when a kennel reservation fell through and stayed in our home for four nights with our eight month old Samoyed puppy and three year old bengal cat while we traveled out of state to a family wedding. Jade exudes an immense amount of compassion and sensitivity, as well as the utmost professionalism. Her communication is awesome, and her experience/knowledge as a petsitter and caretaker of animals really shows. She took remarkable care of our beloved cat and dog, and just as importantly she cared beautifully for our house while we were away. This was our first time working with a pet sitter, and actually opening our home to someone while we weren’t there, which was totally nerve-wracking! We are so grateful that Jade was the person we connected with.

This was our second time having Samantha stay in our home to care for our two dogs and 3 chickens. She is a great communicator and took excellent care of the dogs and house. She handled changes in medication for one of the dogs while she was there seamlessly. We could see in the photos and videos she sent us how happy and comfortable the dogs were in her care. We highly recommend her!

Savana was awesome with my 3 fur babies (1cat, 2 dogs)! She stayed at the house with them and did not leave them alone for long during the day. She also went the extra mile to do a few extras at the house for us while we were away such as water my plants! Highly recommend Savana! Was nice to not worry about the house or the pups and kitty while we were away.

FAQs for House Sitting - Westtown

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 860 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Westtown. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westtown walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westtown maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westtown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westtown. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
