“Fantastic! We have two senior dogs (14 and 13) with special needs. One of them can't use his back legs, has bathroom accidents and is deaf. The other is losing his vision, has some leg weakness and is high anxiety. She visited beforehand and asked great questions. We were away for a week. Both dogs were comfortable and happy with Vicki. She was communicative and sent pictures with updates. We returned home to peaceful pets and the house as clean as when we left. I think the doggies were looking for Vicki when we got home. :) It was a blessing to be able to know they were in good hands while we were away for camping time as a family.”

About: I currently cat and dog sit regularly for my parents and for my girlfriends pets when they are away. I have experience dog sitting multiple dogs and love being active with all animals. I am currently a full time medical student. I have availability full time on most Friday-Monday. And during the week always available for very early morning walks or lunch time walks or late night walks. Pet friendly apartment and neighborhood. It can take weeks, months or years to befriend them but when you do it's extremely rewarding, especially when an animal someone deems "dangerous" comes out to be the biggest sweetheart. Pups are also supervised 24/7 and we have a designated dog room just for them. Back porch is also secured with gates. Dogs aren’t allowed on the lawn without human supervision and a 20ft leash. Lawn is fenced. We have strict safety procedures when it comes down to pets and children.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. Right now I have a Beagle and a German Shepherd so I’m used to caring for all dogs of different sizes. I’ve dog sat for people in my town and I am able to flex my schedule to meet the specific needs of your dog. I’m currently a college student, student teaching full time. About: I grew up with a love for animals nomatter how small or big, scales or fur, I wanted to play with them. Growing up with 3 dogs, 6 chinchillas at a time, a hamster, fish, and more showed me how much I absolutely love my animals so I started volunteering at animal shelters where I then, went on to manage a pet store over time. When people would hear I watched animals for others whether they were reptiles, cats, dogs, or fish they started to use me for mini getaways and then long trips. When leaving an animal with me it gets spoiled. I do not believe animals needs to be just fed, watered, and let out. The time you put into the pet is the bond youre able to create with it and you want someone who is going to treat your pet as their own and that is exactly what I do. Pet care gives me the flexibility of caretaking in between my families schedules. Instead of being set to a 9 to 5 I can stagger my time to fit all my needs so it allows me to get chores done, appointments checked off without taking a day off, and allows me to also fulfill my real estate job along the way. After volunteering at shelters and having many animals of my own I have learned that patience is key. When meeting a new animal who may be anxious or scared, sitting quietly with them for awhile and allowing them to come to you on their own terms works the best. Forcing an animal to adjust to a human is not in anyway okay and only makes things harder for them to trust a human. Making sure an animal has a properly secured and adjusted harness or collar before going out is also a big thing I have always checked incase the animal is an escape artist. Before allowing a dog to go outside making sure gates are secured as you never know when one may be unlatched for any reason. When going on walks I am always aware of my surrounding for cars, people, other animals to keep all safe. If an animal is hypersensitive or reactive knowing ahead of time allows me to adjust accordingly.
