“A 5-star review for Christy! I had to visit Christy's area for a funeral and needed last-minute care for my dog. Christy was very helpful and accommodating. My dog was very comfortable with her and enjoyed the day running and playing with the other dogs. I would definitely recommend Christy and would contact her again if I need daycare in the future.”

“Great experience, Brandi was able to accommodate my Velvet in short notice when we needed it the most, sent picture updates regularly and that made me feel more comfortable, also Velvet liked going back there which means Velvet enjoyed it too.”

“Absolutely amazing experience. Lovely family..so animal friendly. Our baby loves going to Morgan's home. She had the ability to learn how to be gentle with littles...run like crazy outside and play nice with other pups”

“We immediately felt comfortable leaving Quito at Nick and Dorothy's despite never having used Rover before. They were responsive, quick to provide photos of our pup, and were very, clearly "dog people." 10/10 would recommend.”

About: I've taking care of dog for a year plus now. My friends and family trust and relied on me to walk, feed, bathe and have their pets stay overnight at my house. My house is especially a good environment for dog because my yard is fenced and the dog have their own furniture and their own room. I'm currently a stay at home dog mom and a bake at home so I have plenty of time to play and walk your pet which I love doing. My yard is fenced and I have a friendly dog to keep your dog company while he/she is here. I have plenty of toys and treats available for the dogs as well.

About: I have owned horses and dogs my whole life and have a love for animals. I have been watching family friend’s dogs for years and I wanted to get more into pet sitting/walking! I also volunteered at the humane society all throughout college so I have a lot of experience with cats of all personalities as well as dogs that may be shy or have triggers. I currently work from home 3 out of the 5 days which makes it easy for me to pet sit during the week and ensuring full care!! I also work 7 am to 3:15 pm so I have all afternoon to do any dog walks and check ins! At my home I have room for a crate if needed. I also have a long leash for going potty outside along with leashes to go for many walks!
About: I've taken care of animals of all kinds since I was 3 years old. Cats, dogs, birds, ferrets gerbils and as an adult horses cows chickens although I'm assuming you're not going to be dropping off any of those I am pretty much home anytime and available to watch animals day or night. I am self employed as a farmer during the summer but off during the wonter I have a newly updated 100-year-old home with two rooms that kitties can stay in if they are shy and don't play well with other cats. Dogs I keep with me at all times. I
“Randee was so accommodating. He has a nice area for any dog to get there exercise and sunbathe. Tonka was certainly tired when he came home. We’ll definitely be asking Randee for another play date!”

About: I have been nurturing pups since my high school days, a responsibility that extends to our beloved family dog. Over the years, I've become a trusted caretaker for the furry members of not only my family but also for friends and neighbors, often stepping in for extended periods, sometimes up to three weeks at a time. Each dog under my care receives personalized attention and tailored service, ensuring they feel loved and well-cared for throughout their stay. I work full-time as a welder Monday through Friday, which means I start my day early and am well-versed in caring for dogs before heading to work. Upon returning home in the late afternoon, I have ample time and energy to devote to their needs throughout the evening. Additionally, my weekends are completely open, allowing for unrestricted availability to provide even more attention and care to furry companions. My condo complex welcomes dogs and offers a safe environment for outdoor activities, either on-leash or within a fenced dog area dedicated to play. Inside my home, your pup can enjoy free-roaming or have access to a crate according to their preferences and needs. Additionally, if in-home service is preferred, I am flexible and can adapt to accommodate both your home and your dog's requirements.
“My Corgi puppy loves going to Kayla's house! He gets so excited to go see his friends there. Kayla's is warm and loving. I am so glad I found her. Her kids are big fans of my puppy so Copper gets lots of love!”

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life growing up. I currently have one dog, Ruby, who is 2 years old and a cat, Henry, who is 6 months old. I also have two children (ages 5 and 9) who love pets and helping out. My goal is to provide not just reliable care, but peace of mind—so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I make it a priority to follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any special needs or medications. I pay close attention to their behavior and comfort so I can respond quickly to anything they may need. I also believe communication is key. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel reassured that your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats of various sizes and ages for as long as I can remember. I pride myself on providing the highest quality care and attention that all animals deserve. I love animals of all kinds, and my goal is to make their time apart from their owners as stress-free and enjoyable as possible! I'm well versed in animal body language, oral medication administration, and senior care. I'm available to do last-minute bookings, early mornings, late nights, holidays—you name it! I have plenty of time to accommodate you and your pet's needs! I'd love to know everything I can about your pet(s) to allow for the best possible experience! I also won't shy away from cleaning up after your pets and will adhere to specified household rules. Boarding is available on a case-by-case basis, as I only board one family pet(s) at a time. Because of the cats that I have, boarding is done in a separate living space away from the house. It's fully furnished, has heat and air conditioning, and is about the size of a studio apartment. I also live on 80 acres with plenty of walking trails in the woods, well-managed fields, and even a small pond. I will be with your pets the entire duration of their stay and will get them out multiple times during the day! If you request that I take them out on the walking trails, I do ask that your pets have tick medication on them.
About: I've grown up with pets my whole life - dogs, cats, cows, horses, hamsters, mice, you name it I probably had it at one point. I have a dog of my own as well. I like to say I've had animal experience my whole life, but formally I have had over 8 years of experience in the animal care industry. I have spent time in veterinary clinics, grooming, boarding, doggy daycare, dog training, permanent sanctuaries, rehabilitation facilities, and farms. I have also fostered multiple dogs from a local rescue. I recently earned a degree in animal science and have plans to attend veterinary school. I really really love animals and everything about them, and I would love to spend some time with your pet when you're not able to! I take my dog for two walks a day, a shorter 10-15 minute walk in the morning, and longer 30-45 minute walk after work in the afternoon. On days I am not working, I go on multiple short walks a day. There are paths I walk for both off-leash and on-leash walking. Typical available days are T-F. Weekends vary. Outdoor activities (walks, meeting friends dogs, swimming, fetch, etc.) are my primary methods of exercise and activity with my pet, and would be with clients pets as well. On days it's not so nice I like to work on training inside or find new enrichment activities to keep my pet occupied. I take pride in keeping a pet environment clean, so I regularly bathe and brush my dog, as well as clean food bowls. I will care for my clients pets as I would care for my own.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
