About: I've run a dog rescue that placed 1000+ dogs in new homes in 3 years, worked as a live-in animal care taker at a dog and cat boarding facility, and trained several service dogs for a national service dog organization. I've had dogs and cats of my own for over 20 years, and am often the person's friends and family call when they have a dog/cat question instead of google. I've seen and done it all, which means I know how to manage a wide variety of dogs and cats (and more) with all their personalities and quirks. I work full time, but with pretty flexible hours with enough heads-up. I have dogs and cats of my own, so I already have an easy routine of caring for them and it's quite easy to add another. I move my work schedule around to maximize the best times for hikes/outside time for the dogs depending on the weather. I try to take at least one of my dogs for hikes at the Clemson Experimental Forest 2-3x a week. I have a fenced yard with a small (fully enclosed and secure) chicken run. Any visiting dogs would have supervised time to play in the yard or the fenced back deck several times a day. I have 3 friendly dogs who would love to play or just hang out, or can be kept fully separate from any visitor if the visitor needs their space. They are used to mixing or staying separate from any visiting dogs/cats. I also have two cats who are dog friendly, or remain completely upstairs to themselves if any visitors aren't cat friendly. Visiting pets are setup in my home office with a crate of their own (if needed), plenty of windows, and room to play or bed to nap on.

“Remarkable! I was so pleased with Dawn's service. I was brand new to Rover and really hesitant because I just moved to a new area where I have no family to help watch my kitties. I found Dawn, and wow, so glad that I did! I highly recommend her, especially as your first Rover experience. She will not let you down! I felt so comfortable with Dawn in my home and with my 2 kitties, I knew once I met her that she was trustworthy and I could sense that she loves animals so much. Dawn sent pictures of my cats after each visit, which I loved. She monitored their automatic feeder, too. She really took care of them with brushes, treats, and love! I came home and felt immediately that my cats were their purrfect selves right away - sometimes they show attitude when I get home, but not after Dawn's love and care! My 1st kitty is very outgoing and healthy so I wasn't worried about her, but my 2nd kitty is shy and often gets sick when we are away. Dawn was so kind and even kept our apartment clean of messes upon our arrival, even when I didn't expect her to do that. It was so nice coming home to a clean home. Also, I must say that I also appreciated Dawn's dedication to my pets - halfway through my travels, I discovered that I needed to be away for a few more days. Dawn stepped up to the last-minute change, and whew what a relief! I'll certainly be using Dawn again next time we travel. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. My own dogs, my neighbors have asked me to drop in while they were on vacation, and my parents friends have had me dog and house sit while they were away. I take the time to get to know what the pets need instead of taking a one size fits all approach. I’m available all week, whatever time. I’m not working any other jobs so I’m available whenever pets need it or pet parents want an extra check in or reassurance. I make sure they’re comfortable, whether that’s in a crate or just on a bed, constantly check their food and water, and make sure they’re good and tired before I stop playing with them.

About: If any of my friends and family had one to say about me, it would be the fact that I love animals and caring for them. I am always the first person they call whenever they need a petsitter! I have always had pets in my life ever since I was a kid and have had a large range of experience with different pets such as hamsters, guinea pigs, reptiles, kittens/cats, puppies/dogs, fish, goats, donkeys, and horses. I love animals of all species, sizes, shapes, and colors and am dedicated to giving them the best care possible. Although this site is designed more for dogs/cats, I am comfortable caring for all types of pets you may have! My most recent animal quest was fostering 5 feral cat/kittens, rehabilitating them, and finding them quality homes after providing them safe harbor for 4 months. I also have a lot of experience in the horse industry, I've worked at an equestrian center and owned horses myself for about 12 years of my life and know all of the ins and outs to equine care. Dogs are also a breeze for me, I have experience caring for all life stages from puppies to seniors. My dog Luna is only 2 years old herself so I went down that road of leash & potty training myself not too long ago! My family also has a 10 year old senior Labrador Retriever, Scout, that I often care for as well. Overall, I would like to say that I am very empathetic towards animals and have a magic touch when it comes to providing for their needs, comfort, and happiness. I would love to share my love and hospitality with your pets as well! I currently work part-time and have frequent availability to spend time with your beloved pets! I'm currently available all day on Mondays, anytime before 3 on Tuesdays, and all day on Wednesdays. However I do work in a restaurant, so my weekend availability does fluctuate each week. But don't worry, I will do everything I can to work with you and make myself available when you need me! I live in a 2-story townhouse with 2 spare bedrooms, so needless to say there is plenty of room for your pet. I have 2 cats Sushi and Kumi, that are dog and cat friendly, as well as a 2 year old Lab-Catahoula mix, Luna, who is super friendly and playful towards other dogs and cats as well! She loves playing with others, so your dog definitely wont be lonely! I will disclose that I'm aware that some people aren't comfortable with leaving their pets with other animals they aren't familiar with, so if that is the case then no problem! I have a garage and 2 spare bedrooms that I can keep them separated in while also giving them all the attention they require. I do not have a yard unfortunately, but there are a few walking trails in close proximity my neighborhood that I take my Luna for walks on all the time! There is also a dog park 10 minutes away that I can take your pet to at any time. I am fully capable of accommodating for all of your pets needs, I have an automatic water bowl that is cleaned and refilled daily, multiple food bowls, toys, cat trees, treats, and leashes, as well as a large crate to house your pet as deemed necessary. If it is required that I care for your pet in your home, I will assure you that I am great at following specific care routines and fully understand why they may be necessary.
