“Liberty was wonderful and took such great care of my dogs. She was so responsible and professional. She was very responsive and great with communication. She sent several pictures and videos of my dogs when I was gone and provided many updates. She also stayed at the house and was very respectful and left the house just as I had left it. She was wonderful and I would highly recommend.”

“Always love using Emily to watch our pup. She is amazing with communication and we can tell she truly loves pet sitting! We have started booking trips around her availability so we can keep getting the best service.”

“Brenda was very thorough getting to our dogs and while watching them. Brenda made sure to keep in great communication and we would definitely recommend her for watching your house and pets!”

“Mckayle was very attentive to our dogs! She was willing to go above and beyond, kept our house in order and took great care of our boys! We will definitely be reaching out to her in the future if we need a house sitter! Thank you Mckayle for doing an amazing job!”

“She is a true gift for people who don’t want to leave their babies or have a fear of the unknown of traveling without them… Kimberly cared for our senior pitbull, cat, and hamster for 5 days while we were out of town and stayed in our home. She also gave our dog his medicine 2x a day & watered our plants..She sent updates and photos daily and responded quickly to my messages… we are very picky with our pets and have some odd routines with our pets as the cat and dog have to be separated and our dog can be very needy due to incontinence and separation anxiety… we felt really comfortable with Kimberly and after retuning home I can tell she gave our babies a lot of love because our dog acted like we had never even left, he was bouncy and happy instead of his usual moping like he has done in the past after boarding or staying with family and she left our house clean with almost no trace she was here.. this was a great experience and I 100% recommend her.. I wish we had found her years ago.. there are no words to describe how happy & grateful we are.. will definitely be using Kimberly again!”

“Lauren is terrific!! My dogs loved her immediately. They get more excited to see her than they ever do to see me. She did an exceptional job taking care of my fur kids while I was away”

“Patty was great as usual! She communicates really well and always sends awesome pics. Pippin had a little limp on the first day, and she let us know right away and sent videos — thankfully he was fine, but we really appreciated how on top of it she was. He was super happy when we got home, which says a lot. Way better than boarding — so glad we booked with Patty again!”

“Charlotte was amazing taking care of my girls - I couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch them!! And as a bonus, I came home and saw that she drew a beautiful portrait of my dogs that I will definitely have framed. Highly recommend!!!!”

“Rylee was absolutely wonderful with our dogs over the New Year's holiday. She sent daily pictures and notes, let me know how they were doing, and left our home immaculate. I highly recommend her and plan to ask her to watch our dogs again!”

“Edi was so wonderful, she took amazing care of our three pets, was communicative, brought in mail and watered plants. She took such good care of our animals, I would have her back anytime.”

About: I am a full time professional in the law enforcement field that offers house sitting and pet sitting to the citizens of Hall County. Trust that your sweet babies (pets) are in caring and trustworthy hands while you are out and about enjoying your vacation, work trip, etc. I have been pet sitting on an “as needed” basis for approximately 3 years now. References available upon request. Any special requests? Feel free to ask and I will tell you if that is something I can/am willing to do. Rapid response time, generally within a few hours but occasionally within 24 hours depending on my work schedule. If you have any further questions, feel free to send me a message and ask. Thank you for reading this far, have a good day ☺️ I am currently working full-time with Tuesdays as 12 hour work days (8A-8p). Outside of that I do 3-5 workouts a week. I ensure that when I am scheduled to love your animals any other time is spent with them. I have pet sit in 2-3 regular’s homes for the past 8 years and aside from that have done drop-in visits daily for others at their home. Specialty diets, hiding the medications in pill pockets, taking walks, etc - I have done it.
“I can’t say enough good things about Sahara! This was the very first time I left my dogs with someone outside of my immediate family, so I was naturally nervous. From the moment I left for vacation, she made me and my fur babies feel completely at ease. She was caring, reliable, attentive, and treated my dogs like they were her own. Thank you!!!!!!”

About: I've always loved our furry friends: wether sheltering strays for a few days, pet sitting for neighbors, or volunteering at my local shelter I learned each animal has their own personality and temperament but all require some basic needs, like water, food, exercise, mental stimulation, and ofc love! Beyond the practical knowledge of walking, feeding, training, and playing with animals I've also had a personal fascination into the minds of animals (LOVE watching dog training videos and reading up on Donna Haraway). When I mean I love pets and want to make sure they'll have a good time, I mean it! I’ve say both cats and dogs from days to months, small to large, shy to outgoing. Your fur child will be in great hands! I work from home full time, so my availability can be pretty flexible! Open to chat more based on needs and schedules Every animal has a different schedule so like to work around what works best for your pet Building has a fenced in courtyard and a community garden on the corner. There's a couple of cats and dogs in the building but for our apartment unit, your pets would be the only ones (they'll have my undivided attention <3) There is also a dog park about 15 min walking and another green space garden 10 min walking.
“Leeah took such great care of Augie! I loved that she sent updates with pictures on how she was doing, and also left notes before she left on the final day. Would highly recommend her!”

About: I had three miniature dachshunds until they all eventually passed away from old age. I treated them as if they were children. I am very in tune with an animal’s needs and emotions. Animals that I have never met before, usually take to me right away. When I cared for my father-in-law’s dog for two weeks, he did not want to return home with him….lol. I hate to see any animal suffer or be in danger. I go as far to remove turtles from the road so that they do not get hit and I have tried to save numerous injured birds in the wild. Animals, especially, dogs, provide so much unconditional love. I am a retired law enforcement officer. Thus, I have a lot of availability. I am available Sunday-Saturday 24 hours as long as I am provided at least a short notice. I have a fenced in back yard that I always ensure is securely locked at all times. I would pet proof home ensure no medications or cleaning products, etc are accessible to pets. Also, I would only feed what the owner wanted the pet to be fed.
About: I have owned and cared for pets for my whole life, including cats, dogs, fish and more. When I was growing up my family fostered German and Australian shepherds through K-9 Pet Rescue. I have also raised many litters of kittens and puppies, and ducklings as well! I am a very active person and would love to meet your pets! My schedule is 100% open, 24/7. I work from home and can accommodate any dates or times needed. I am happy to spend the time needed to provide companionship for your pet. I understand the importance of safety and security: indoor cats stay inside and leashed animals remain on leash at all times. I will treat your home and belongings with respect and care.
“This was our first time using Rover and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Shawn was awesome! He gave us updates daily on our fur babies and made us feel at ease! We highly recommend Shawn!”

“Very grateful for all the extra time and attention she gave my pup. He's adjusting to a lot and I felt much better having her here to give him individual attention. And having her dog was great for mine to have another dog in the house to keep him company. Definitely recommend.”

About: I've had dogs and cats and been taking care of them since I was a a kid. Recently had to put my dog down due to cancer, and my grandmother is allergic to pet hair so I'm looking for another way to connect to pets until I can get my own again. Currently not working so unless I'm on vacation and out of state, I have a pretty open schedule. Willing to spend nights or extended stays if discussed and I can make it work. Willing to do whatever works for your pet and their routine, previously had a dog with stomach and skin issues so I have experience with different responsibilities.
About: I have essentially cared for a variety of animals my entire life. I have a great deal of experience with many different situations and needs. I am at your service to align myself with your pets needs and to be sure to be clear on expectations. It brings me GREAT joy in life to care for animals of ALL types! Happy to be of service to anyone in need of care!😊 I do petcare work part-time while also engaging in my mobile spa work on occasion. I desire to engage more in the petcare industry as I find it all so fulfilling! *DISCLAIMER:As much as I WISH I could.. I am unable to accept large or high energy animals into my home. I live in the same home as my elderly father whom I help care for. *I CAN however accept very small (mostly quiet) pets into my home as it is spacious but shared. *When housesitting requests are booked, I am able to care for a wide range of pets. Even most EXOTIC ANIMALS I have a great deal of experice with. My schedule is rather flexible if able to care for pets via housesitting. As much as I wish it was, my home isn't ideal. I HAVE noted over the years, MOST animals PREFER their own home verses an unfamiliar space. Especially kitty cats!=D ☆I am here to be sure your animal/animals are WELL loved and cared for. I have had such love, adoration, and respect for animals ever since I can remember. It is truly an HONOR to serve my clients and care for their adorable pets! My truest passion in life.♡

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 1,370 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Westgate. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Westgate walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Westgate maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Westgate choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westgate. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
