We are so grateful to Evelin for taking care of our sweet Bichon, Lily, while we attended a family funeral. Evelin went above and beyond to make sure Lily was happy and comfortable, sending us updates that gave us peace of mind. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for animals shine through in everything she does. Thank you, Evelin, for being there for us and for treating Lily like one of your own. We couldn’t have asked for better care.

Lindsey was amazing with our puppy! She kept us updated throughout the day with pictures, videos, and what our little girl was up to. I had no doubt throughout the day of what our puppy was doing or if she was having fun! Lindsey treated our puppy like she was her own! We will definitely be using Lindsey in the future! Our Finley girl loved her too!!

Katie was so great! Super easy to work with, excellent communication. I have long shifts at work needing to drop by dog off at 7am to 6pm for doggy day care and he seems so happy and safe with Katie and her family. Really good decision and so glad she is taking care of my pup!

Amazing with my dog ! Ended up going the route of in an house dog visitor and walker closer to my home, but Dunamis loved his days with Ernesto! I did not have to worry that Dunamis would pick up bad habits or anything concerning because he was in great and k9 certified care. He was the best!

Elise was the perfect sitter for my high energy Malinois! Her dog and mine got along great and even got to go to the dog park together. She was very accommodating to my last minute request and early drop off/late pickup (0600-1700). Even after my dog had an accident due to starting her heat cycle (which Elise notified me of) she was still very friendly and helpful with updates and Barleys well being. At the end of the day my dog was exhausted by the time I picked her up and ready to sleep! I highly recommend Elise and would definitely trust her again!

About: I have been a dog owner almost my entire life. I currently have four dogs of my own. I Chihuahua, two Chorkies and a Dachshund. I’m very caring, loving and responsible pet owner and I would enjoy opening my home to help take care of others for overnight stays or day visits. My dogs enjoyed going outside every few hours to get fresh air and sunshine, weather permitting. They enjoy playing with lots of toys and take naps in the puppy room Our home is a quiet environment with relaxing canine lullabies playing most of the day. My dogs enjoyed being around other dogs and are very friendly. I would enjoy getting to know you and your Pet. I would provide a welcoming and fun environment during their stay.

About: I have own dogs my whole life. I have one Rottweiler and a Yorkie/Minpinch. My Rottweiler is very friendly. They both love people and other dogs. Both of my dogs are very we’ll behaved. They would love to play with your fur babies. Yes I consider my dogs family, and I would treat you dogs as family also. My husband and I live on 5 acres so your dogs will have lots of room to run and will be watched with love, and well taken care of. You will not be disappointed when you pick them up. I love animals and treat other peoples animals like they're my own. We have a fence in area. It's not attached to our home, but it is well shaded with 3 cement stalls where they can go lay down if they wanted too. I also have long training leash so i can play with them since I don't have a fence yet. I used it with my Rottweiler that passed when I lived in apartment up in Michigan. It works great cause its really long so if I needed to step on it I could to stop them. I Iam looking forward to meeting you and and taking care of your fur babies . I am open 7 days a week.Animals are my passion, snd want to do it full time. I will beable to take them out when ever needed and exercise just like i do with my own. my husband is home all day,so they wouldn't be left alone I have 5 acres we finally have s fence in area so your dog will be safe, and will beable to get plenty of exercise. I also have a long traing leash so I can play with them without putting in the fence in area. I used it for my rottweilers. It works great because it's really long so you can jump on it if they start to take off. Since we have a fence in area now, when they in it ,I will check on them periodically to make sure they are ok. I also will get in the fence wirh them to play with them. I would never leave them out in yhe heat or cold to long. Like i said i treat other animals just like they are my own .

I am in town for a wedding, and my dog was too stressed to stay in the hotel while I was gone. Desiree was a life saver by taking my dog at the last minute for doggy daycare! I was able to enjoy the wedding knowing my dog was having fun with other people and other dogs, and I picked up a happy and tired pup 😀 If I ever find myself back in the area, I would 100% ask Desiree to watch my dog again. Thanks!!!

Jennifer and her fur babies were very welcoming. My little Lupe was a little shy initially but Jennifer helped her feel right at home. This is the first time that Lupe stays somewhere without her brother and I think I was more stressed about it than she was. Jennifer sent me pictures of Lulu having a good time and it immediately calmed me down. Thank you Jennifer!

This was our first-time leaving Khalessi with anyone and were also apprehensive as to how she would react to Tatyana’s two dogs Nala and Boomer. Since completing her shots, we have not had an opportunity to socialize her with other dogs. Tatyana and her daughter understood our concerns and introduced the dogs, one at a time. Ten minutes after dropping Khalessi off, Tatyana sent a picture showing the dogs playing together. We continued to receive pictures throughout Khalessi’s stay, as well as a video. Tatyana is at the top of our list of sitters to leave Khalessi with. When we arrived to pick Khalessi up, all the dogs came to great us and see Khalessi off.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 520 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Western Hills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Western Hills commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 520 sitters in Western Hills, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
