“Jonathan did an excellent job looking after my cat and keeping him company while I was away on vacation. Very responsive, and provided detailed updates. Would recommend any time.”

“Ciara was great! Our cats have different diets and one of them gets meds. They are shy and don't come out but Ciara knew how to get the job done. We would definitely leave the kitties in her care again.”

“Nafisa has been incredible! It brings me so much peace during my workday knowing that she’s checking in on my dogs when I can’t be there. She’s reliable, communicative, and my dogs warmed up to her immediately! My dogs definitely have their quirks and she’s taken it with stride. I appreciate her endlessly!!”
“Elisabeth was excellent with our senior pup Simba! He took a liking to her right away and she was able to maneuver him into his harness and take him up and down the porch steps easily. Quick, communication, reliable, and kind. Will definitely call on Elisabeth in the future!”

“Our cat, Chumley, took to Madison right away. She has a wonderful kind and loving energy. We felt very comfortable having Madison come into our home while we were away. Madison sent us the cutest picture of Chumley while visiting with him. We are very pleased with her service and highly recommend her! Thank you Madison!!!”

About: Hi! I’m a dental hygienist with 9 years of clinical experience, bringing that same calm, careful attention to your pets. I read each dog’s energy: some want fetch, some want a slow sniff-walk, and either way you get my full attention. What you can count on: • On-time, every visit • Photo updates so you’re never wondering • A calm presence that puts anxious pets at ease I treat every pet like my own. Looking forward to meeting your fur family! Pet care fits naturally into my routine — I have a dog of my own, so mornings and evenings already center around walks and feeding. I’ve also cared for cats my whole life, so I’m comfortable with both. I have flexibility for drop-ins and walks on weekdays and more availability on weekends. And since my own dog is all 12, I know how to adjust pace and attention for older pets — happy to tailor visits to your senior pet needs. Drop-In Visits: I stick to your pet’s normal routine: feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, and some playtime or cuddles, all in the comfort of their own home. I follow any care instructions you leave (medications, feeding amounts, favorite toys) exactly as written. Dog Walking: I match the pace and route to your dog’s energy and age; brisk exercise for active pups, slower sniff-walks for seniors. I always have waste bags on hand and check in with a photo update after each walk. For both, I treat your home with respect (doors locked, alarm set if needed) and your pet like my own.
“It was such a peace of mind knowing my pups were cared for over the weekend while Jenna checked in on them. She sent me pictures and messaged me with any updates. I will definitely book with her in the future!”
“Jennifer took excellent care of our cat while we were out - she’s thorough, professional, and takes great pics! We’ll definitely be requesting her services again in the future.”

“She spent extra time on the first day to allow my three cats to get to know her. We appreciate having a reliable person with her experience taking care of our little ones.”

About: Hi! I’m Katy! I am a veterinary assistant working at McClelland Small Animal Hospital, and I’m pet sitting not only due to my love of animals, but to use the extra funds to help pay for my dream wedding! I’ve had pets my entire life, and I’m so fortunate to be able to help care for others' pets every day. I will love and treat your critters like they are my own, as taking care of animals is truly my passion. I currently work full time at an animal hospital and own 3 dogs, 2 cats, a crab, and even a jumping spider, so pet care is truly second nature to me. When I’m entrusted in caring for your pet and your home, I will be there all night and in the morning before I head into work. I will check on them during my lunch hour so they can have a potty break, lunch (if needed), play time, cuddles, and plenty of attention, before I'm back with them right after my work day. I'm always incredibly respectful of my clients homes, ensuring things are just as neat and tidy (if not more so) than they were when I arrived. Mail will be brought in, trash taken out, and bed linens cleaned. You're on a vacation, why worry about cleaning up when you get home?! The animal hospital I work for has a boarding facility for dogs and cats. When I’m not caring for others pets at work, I’m tending to my menagerie at home! As the owner of pets who have trouble being removed from their “safe space,” you can rest easy knowing that your pets will receive plenty of love and care in the place they feel the most comfortable. During a meet and greet, I come prepared with an information sheet to fill out so that I can make sure I cater to each pets specific needs. Everything from feeding times, food sensitivities, and jotting down your pets favorite toys and activities!
About: I've grown up with pets my entire life and have had 2 of my own dogs. They both had medical issues so I am very familiar with administering medications and preparing special meals. My home is currently pet-free and I would be so happy to spend time with your dog while you're away. I have plenty of time to spend with your fur baby. I currently work part time and always have Wednesdays and Fridays-Sundays off. I also have some Tuesdays off, and if I do work on Tuesdays it is only from 8-2. Mondays can be discussed. My house has a fully fenced in backyard and I never leave dogs outside unattended. Dogs are welcome to snuggle on my furniture and in bed with me if they like. If your dog is crate trained, feel free to bring their crate or I have a large one they can use. There are no other dogs or children in my home so your dog gets my full attention!

“Alyssa was so amazing with my fur babies. She sent daily photos and was extremely communicative. Also cleaned up behind them when they were being a bit naughty (knocked over plants lol) Ultimately, I came home to a clean litter box and extremely happy kittens. I am certain they will miss her and I intend to rebook with Alyssa in the future.”

“Courtney is amazing!!! Sierra did really well with Courtney during her visits. She responded quickly to our requests, kept us informed throughout the visits, worked with Sierra's training during her walk, and made sure she was fed. We're grateful she accepted the booking with short notice during our family Xmas visit. Really recommend her if you're looking for an expert sitter.”

About: I have taken care of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments! I was once responsible for the livestock on a small farm in Holland. Cows, pigs, chickens, horses, and more. I seriously love all animals! I especially love how dogs see the world, and I do everything I can to give my own pupper the life he deserves❤️ I have a fixed weekly schedule. The only full days I am not available are Fridays and Saturdays. (I'm a bartender) But I am almost always available the following days/times- Sunday: all day Monday: 8am-3pm Tuesday: all day Wednesday: 8am-3pm Thursday: all day Your pet's safety is my top priority. I always double check EVERYTHING. Doors, gates, locks, harness/leash connections, my dog even wears a seatbelt in the car. I don't mess around.
About: I have been around cats and dogs (of all sizes) my entire life. I am comfortable with any breed, size or age, offering a lot of hugs and belly rubs. I have lot of experience with walking, medicating, and playing with pups or just keeping them company. I’m able to walk your pets in their desired areas or play in their yards as well as maintain any routines or schedules they are use too.
About: - I love to walk, even those longer walks for those dogs such as my families own golden whom requires a lot of exercise! -I always carry disposable bags for poop and a water bottle for dogs as they get thirsty on walks -I also carry treats when walking - My families' dog is very afraid so I know how to deal with dogs that have those traits and do everything in my power to prevent them from interacting with any animal or anyone who would put them in a bad situation. -I always heed a dog owners' rules when caring for another's family member, because they know the dog best. -I treat another's pet as my own. -I make sure they are safe at all times. -I am not afraid of telling others they are not to pet a dog that does not want to be touched or interact with anyone but his/her human loved ones. I presently work part time and in schools during the school year. I have fostered dogs in the past with this same schedule and my foster pups were very happy. I would provide the same care for your pet for my own. I treat my pets like family and the same would be given to your fur baby.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Seneca
Autumn took good care of my two kitties for drop-in visits. She followed directions well, took good pictures of the cats, and gave me short updates about the visit and the cats' activities. She was respectful of my house and property, and I definitely felt like Daisy and Franklin were in good hands while we were away. Thank you, Autumn!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
