“Can not say enough positive things about Hillari! My dogs absolutely love her and are so well taken care of. She walks them and has checked on them for house visits. Super communicative, kind and responsive. One of our dogs is a little more particular and she is really great with him as well. We look forward to continuing to book with her 😊 Highly recommend!!!”

“Beyond happy to find Kara on Rover to take care of my kitties! She did an excellent job. Sent pictures and spent time with them. I highly recommend Kara and will definitely be contacting her for all the future cat care. Kara is very sweet and kind. I knew I was leaving them in great hands and felt so comfortable for her to come into our home while away! Thank you, Kara!”

About: I've provided various kinds of care for dogs and cats for family, friends, and the wider community for over a decade. I have volunteered at local shelters helping bathe, feed, walk, play, and bond with all different breeds of dogs. I have experience with large dogs, dog sitting my brother's Cane Corso during their extended trips for many years. I also have experience with tiny dogs, like my own toy poodle, Cyder. I also have experience with senior dogs, as my family has adopted elderly animals. I really connect with dogs and find that they like me too. I used to ride and care for horses and ponies as well! I am in between roles and currently available to do walks or drop ins at any time of day throughout the week! You tell me what you need and I can provide it for your pet. You can rest assured that your furbabies will receive personalized, attentive care in the comfort of their own home. I will work with you to understand your pets' unique needs and routines, allowing me to create a tailored care plan. Even if you need a quick stop in for walks, I'm happy to also take the time to feed and water and play with your pup while I'm visiting. If you need longer petsitting, I am happy to also take care of household tasks like collecting mail, setting out the trash, and watering plants. You'll receive regular updates, complete with photos and reports, so you always know how your pets are doing. With a solid emergency plan (that we agree on) and respect for your home’s security and privacy, I aim to provide trustworthy service. Your pets will be in loving hands, and your home will be well cared for. I do ask that you let me know of any security cameras or pet cams for my own privacy and awareness. Please do let me know of any house rules or preferences for your space as well. I'll provide updates on your fur child's day, so you feel at ease. You can let me know if you want updates more or less often.
About: I have grown up taking care of many different breeds and ages over the past 19 years from puppies to seniors up to 16. I'm experienced with house training, obedience training, and medication administration (including insulin shots for diabetic dogs). I've had the privilege of pet sitting for many friends, family and neighbors, which has included potty breaks, baths, walks, feeding, and some grooming. All pets I look after always receive lots of attention and lots of lovins, as I treat other's pets I am looking after like they're my own. :) I am in between jobs at the moment, so I have a lot of free time on my hands that I would love to spend taking care of fur babies! -If boarded at my home, I live in a townhouse that is pet friendly and includes surrounding yard areas. I share it with my adopted 6 year old fur baby, Ellie, that is a red lab mix. She is caught up on all vaccines, spayed and sees the vet regularly. Ellie is an absolute sweetheart to all dogs and people she is around. If you or your pet prefer to not be around another animal, I can always crate my pet or keep her in a separate room if needed.😊 -If pet sitting at owner's home, I would be very respectful and follow any and all directions the best I can. If preferred, I can send updates with pictures of your fur baby/babies and how they're doing as much as you'd like.
About: I have taken care of dogs/cats as long as I can remember. It first started with some family friends dogs and now I dogsit probably close to once a week. I can walk dogs as well as do drop in visits, and pet sitting. I love animals and pets and it is so fun for me to take care of animals. I understand how important it is to stay on top of giving medications. I had a cat with chronic kidney disease where I had to give subcutaneous fluids so I know how to do that if needed. I am a nursing student at WVU and I am also an athlete at WVU. This is really the only job that allows me to make money and is flexible with my schedule. I just graduated nursing school and I am an RN looking for a side hustle. I work overnights so My work schedule depends on weather I can sleep over with your animal but my schedule is pretty flexible and I have been able to work with clients well! I currently live in a house that has a wide living space. I also live walking distance to the rail trail which is a great place to take your dog outside to walk. I also live right next to a dog park if your dog gets along with other animals I would be happy to take them to the park. I enjoy letting your dog get outside and have lots of play time.

About: As a veterinary assistant for over 3 years and a pre-vet student, I’ve been passionate about animals since I was very little and began pet sitting over 10 years ago. I have experience with many different animals in clinical settings, home, farm and zoo settings. Most of my work experience has been in emergency medicine. I have also enjoyed rescuing and fostering dogs, cats, and exotics. One of my college courses was on dog training, and I have trained my own dogs, birds, and rodents. I’ve also studied exotic/zoo medicine and conservation abroad in South Africa for 4 weeks! I regularly work from 6am to 4-7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and only have one class M/W/F 11-11:50am. I am usually scheduled to work Wednesday and Friday afternoons anywhere from 1-3pm to 5-7pm which gives me time to check on pets around lunch. I usually have all day Monday free other than the one class. I spend as much time as I can with the pets I care for and make sure to give them love, attention, and exercise just like I would my own animals. They will get lots of belly rubs and cuddles! Depending on how they tolerate it, I can do nail trims and baths if requested.
About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 8 years old, volunteering at local shelters and helping family, friends, and neighbors with pet sitting. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with dogs of all ages, including senior pets—my own pup is getting older, so I understand the patience and gentle care they need. I’m also comfortable with basic grooming tasks like bathing and brushing. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I treat every pet like they’re family. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy and take seriously. I’m currently out of school with open availability after 10 AM and on weekends. Even when school resumes in the fall, I’ll make sure pet care fits into my schedule. You can count on me to treat your pets with love and attention. I do not board pets in my home, but I’m happy to care for your pets in their own familiar environment. I offer in-home pet sitting, potty breaks, and walks throughout the day as needed. I always prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine, and I strive to create a calm, loving environment where they feel secure and cared for. You can trust me to treat your pets with the same love and attention I would give my own.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
