“Can not say enough positive things about Hillari! My dogs absolutely love her and are so well taken care of. She walks them and has checked on them for house visits. Super communicative, kind and responsive. One of our dogs is a little more particular and she is really great with him as well. We look forward to continuing to book with her 😊 Highly recommend!!!”

“This was our first time using Rover for our two cats and Sammi was amazing. One needs daily medication (and LOTS of attention) and Sammi made sure to send us lots of pictures and let us know how they were doing. She was also understanding and flexible as our booking needed multiple edits. 10/10 would highly recommend to others.”

About: I have experience taking care of kittens/puppies and senior cats (21 years old). Have an exotic pet? No problem! Raccoon, rabbit, bird, chinchilla, etc. I’m willing to take care of them. I am available after 4 pm every day and love to do drop-in visits! I can do home sitting on all weekends since Friday night. If you want to board your cats at my place, I can have a separate room just for them. No kids, no dogs, no smoking, big home with fenced backyard. I have 3 super-friendly cats myself, and they get along well with other cats. If your furbabies are shy, I can set up a separate room for them. If they love making friends, my cats will keep them busy.
“McKenzie took wonderful care of our dog Nala while we were away for the weekend. She communicates well, responds quickly, and sends lots of pictures. Absolutely will be booking with her again for our further trips. You can trust that your fur babies are in excellent hands with her!!”

About: Hi! I’ve spent years sitting and walking dogs for friends and family, so I definitely know every dog has their own personality and am happy to cater to them and take whatever time is needed to make them the most comfortable! Growing up there were always 3+ dogs in the house including puppies, seniors, and dogs with disabilities, so I’m equipped to handle all stages of life and different needs! I am patient, understanding, experienced, and ready to give your dog the most loving care! As a student with a part-time job my schedule is pretty flexible! For dogs, that means consistent walks, potty break, and feedings that match their normal schedule. For cats, regular feeding times, litter maintenance, and plenty of attention if they prefer it! Since my shifts change week to week, I will always confirm availability ahead of time and communicate about timing! Your pets safety is my top priority, in your home or mine! I live in an apartment, so I’m mindful about creating a secure, calm place, free of hazardous foods or items. I treat every pet in my care with the same level of attention I’d want for my own, so you can feel confident your dog or cat is in a safe and comfortable environment.
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and truly love caring for them. I currently have one cat but I’ve had pets of all kinds over the years. Whether it’s feeding, playing, or just keeping them company, I understand the importance of giving pets the attention and care they deserve. You can count on me to treat your pets like my own! I have a full time job that is done at 3:00 PM. I will be able to complete tasks starting at 3:30 PM. On weekends I have full availability. Safety is always my top priority when caring for pets. I make sure each animal is in a secure, pet-friendly environment and take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special needs. I’m careful with feeding schedules, medication (if needed), and always keep an eye out for any signs of stress or discomfort. I’m also mindful of indoor/outdoor safety, keeping doors closed, leashes secure, and making sure they’re never left unattended in unsafe situations. Your pet’s well-being and comfort are always my main focus.

About: As a veterinary assistant for over 3 years and a pre-vet student, I’ve been passionate about animals since I was very little and began pet sitting over 10 years ago. I have experience with many different animals in clinical settings, home, farm and zoo settings. Most of my work experience has been in emergency medicine. I have also enjoyed rescuing and fostering dogs, cats, and exotics. One of my college courses was on dog training, and I have trained my own dogs, birds, and rodents. I’ve also studied exotic/zoo medicine and conservation abroad in South Africa for 4 weeks! I regularly work from 6am to 4-7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and only have one class M/W/F 11-11:50am. I am usually scheduled to work Wednesday and Friday afternoons anywhere from 1-3pm to 5-7pm which gives me time to check on pets around lunch. I usually have all day Monday free other than the one class. I spend as much time as I can with the pets I care for and make sure to give them love, attention, and exercise just like I would my own animals. They will get lots of belly rubs and cuddles! Depending on how they tolerate it, I can do nail trims and baths if requested.
About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 8 years old, volunteering at local shelters and helping family, friends, and neighbors with pet sitting. I’m also comfortable with basic grooming tasks like bathing and brushing. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I treat every pet like they’re family. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy and take seriously. I’m currently out of school with open availability after 10 AM and on weekends. Even when school resumes in the fall, I’ll make sure pet care fits into my schedule. You can count on me to treat your pets with love and attention. I do not board pets in my home, but I’m happy to care for your pets in their own familiar environment. I offer in-home pet sitting, potty breaks, and walks throughout the day as needed. I always prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine, and I strive to create a calm, loving environment where they feel secure and cared for. You can trust me to treat your pets with the same love and attention I would give my own.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
