Tori made sure our dog got plenty of attention and playtime even with the rain, which really showed how much she cared about making sure he was happy and well cared for. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. We truly appreciated her reliability, kindness, and the extra effort she put in. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like family!

About: Since the day I was born there was an animal in the home. Cats, dogs, reptiles, livestock, you name it. I care deeply for the pets that I have, and am just looking to spread the love! I work mornings from about 7am-3pm all but two days a week. After work drop-ins or walks would be ideal, but I’d be happy to hear different ideas/work around times and schedules! Animals have always been near and dear to my heart. My own are like children, so I’d treat anybody else’s the same. Although I do understand some pets have different boundaries and behaviors, which I am of course capable of following.

About: I’ve had pets my entire life, so I love to help take care of them and love on them! I’ve also looked after plenty of animals for family and friends when they’re out of town, with one family friend having me come back to dog sit for them for the last three years! Right now, I’m home from college for the summer, and don’t have a job, so my schedule is pretty free unless I have an appointment or other things going on on a certain day! I don’t offer boarding for pets in my own home unfortunately, but for my clients, I will make sure all their needs are met and more, playing with them and making sure they’re doing great before I leave for the day.

About: I have worked with animals since I was a kid. I’ve pet sat for many friends and family for a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, and livestock. I currently work nights at the Louisville Zoo. I also have experience with clicker training animals. I do work nights into the early morning Thursday through Monday. I would be available during the day afterwards and in the evenings. I have taken care of both my own pets and other people’s pets around my schedule. I prefer to keep pets in their own home so there is no additional stress when adjusting to new surroundings or my personal pets. I have my own car so driving to and from will not be an issue.

I am very pleased at Brittney’s ongoing care of my two cats. If I am counting correctly, she has taken care of them for 11 trips over the last several years. She promptly communicates, is reliable, and most importantly, provides excellent, loving care for my cats. One of my cats will sometimes make a dash for the door and so I worry about this while I am away. I can trust Brittney will be very careful. That same cat needs thyroid medication applied topically in her ear, the cat is not a big fan of this. Brittney has handled this very well and gives her a treat after the med. My other cat is shy but comes out and interacts with Brittney. Brittney has consistently gone above and beyond, keeping an eye out for the safety of my home. I left before the garbage pick up and meant to ask Brittney to please bring the can up when she was here. I completely forgot to ask, but she noticed and took it to the back of the house for me. My cats and I greatly appreciate all the TLC!

Maddie was a wonderful dog sitter for us! She was able to accept our booking last-minute when our usual sitter wasn't available for a trip. Our dog immediately liked her and I could tell he didn't miss us when we were gone! She was very thoughtful with our 2 cats too even though we only booked her for the dog, and very respectful of our home as well. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Madeline- definitely worth booking for your pet!

Sabine is very dependable and my dogs loved her. My dogs can be barky and jumpy and she handled them with ease and understanding. On a visit to let out my dogs, it was raining and Sabine went out (with no overhead coverage) and coaxed my dogs to go out. I was very grateful she went through that effort since I wasn’t able to return for hours later and felt great knowing if they had to go they would. After she left, I think they waited by the front door hoping she’d come back. Greatly appreciate her!

About: I’ve been caring for pets since I was younger and have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’m a college student who is reliable, patient, and genuinely loves animals. I can help with walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and keep you updated so you have peace of mind. I’m currently working part-time and in college, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets attention and care. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and sitting during weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to work with your schedule and your pet’s routine! I live in a townhouse so frequent walks with my dog/yours is needed. My dog is friendly with both dogs and cats and would love to have company, but I can also keep separated if needed. About: I’m a pre-vet student in college and I work at an Animal Clinic. I am a volunteer at the Kentucky Humane Society and have very good experience with your babies needs, management, handling, and of course love!! I have a lot of experience with older animals with giving insulin etc. And house sit for others frequently. I work Friday and Saturday so I will not be available then but Monday through Thursday I’m available after 12:30 due to class in the morning. I understand how important the safety and environment is for your baby. Making sure that no other animals (that they are not familiar with) are present is very important in maintaining safety. Always having a leash on and building trust in the correct, proper way.

About: Hello. My name is Hailey. I just graduated basic and AIT as a Combat Medic and will be staying in the area until I go to college late May. I am home all day everyday. I love animals and am willing to doggy/cat sit anytime any day. I have 3 dogs myself and love cats. I am patient and I have no trouble with bigger dogs and will provide service to the best of my abilities. I can also baby sit if needed. I currently unemployed as I will be leaving for college in late May. I am available all day everyday and can stop by at anytime to feed, potty break, or walk dogs and cats alike. I will not be able to house animals in my own home because it is my parents house. I am more than willing to doggy sit in my clients home and/or walk them around their neighborhood. I follow directions to a T and I am physical myself so I always enjoy a good dog walk and don’t mind walking bigger dogs that may need a little extra confidence.

Jamie is the best 5-star pet sitter you can find. She went above and beyond our expectations, became best buds with our cats and cared for them like our own. We even decided to stay an extra night and with no reception we were unable to text she realized this, came by to check if we made it back realized we hadn't and fed the cats an extra day, what a truly caring gesture. Jamie is highly professional and very caring. We highly recommend Jamie and know that even without service for six days plus an extra our pets and home were safe in her hands and being cared for. Thank you Jamie!

About: Hi! I’m Kembra, an active duty Army Logistics Officer based in Kentucky, a military professional, and a proud mom. My career has taught me the importance of responsibility, attention to detail, communication, and caring for others, qualities I bring to every pet I care for. I’ve always had a love for animals and understand that pets are family. Whether I’m taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a visit, or caring for them while you’re away, my goal is to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved in your absence. My dog, Milo, of 12 years ( shown in my profile) has just recently passed away due to old age, so having a reminder of being around a persons best friend, is also so very cherished, through the sharing of others fur babies . I know what it means to have a “Man’s best friend” in this case , a woman’s . I’m dependable, patient, and believe every pet deserves individualized care. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, dietary needs, medications (if applicable), favorite activities, and any special instructions so I can provide the same level of care they’re used to at home. As someone who values structure and consistency, you’ll receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication so you always know how your furry family member is doing. I enjoy staying active, so long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection come naturally. Whether your pet loves adventure or simply wants someone to relax beside them, I’m happy to meet them where they’re most comfortable. I have a clean, safe environment and understand the trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. My priority is giving you peace of mind while making your pet’s experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 532 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across West Point. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Point. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
