While we were away, several chicks started hatching. Jeannette didn't panic—she jumped right in. She went out and bought supplies, made sure the chicks were cared for, and handled everything like a pro, even hatching 4 chicks at her house. She also completely won over our cat, who now seems to love her more than us! Jeannette went so far above and beyond anything we expected. About: Well I wrote a novel but it didn't save, lol, so let me just say that I've had two special needs kitties since I was 22 and I'm 50 now. We give daily baths and our two tuxie handicapable boys were and are loved and cared for like no other. Both have gone through multiple health issues, surgeries and MRIs, and there's nothing we wouldn't do for them! I give daily meds to our Fennie who has a degenerative cerebellar disorder (we drove to Chicago to adopt him). About: My animal experience goes way back to childhood. At the age of 7 I started in 4h, learning about animal husbandry. By the age of 13 I was volunteering at the local riding stables. Please know that your fur babies will be treated and loved for 100% in my care. I work full time with Meade County schools but using summer break, weekends and other times to help others out. Vacation season is upon us. I know first hand what it’s like finding someone you trust with your fur babies in the times you can’t be. I am available all week, all hours of the day and weekends. I do not have a fenced yard however I have tie outs if needed, I live next to several parks and walking areas. We have a spacious yard. All my dogs are friendly and accepting of other animals.
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats of all kinds ever since I was roughly 13 years old, and am also able to administer medications to animals. Family members, friends, and referrals/new friends have trusted me with their pets time and time again because I genuinely enjoy spending time with and taking care of their critters as if they’re my own! I also have experience with farm/unique animals like chickens, chinchillas, guinea pigs, rabbits, snakes, etc., and I have experience caring for epileptic dogs, as well as senior animals! I can ALWAYS promise to treat your babies like they’re my own, and to ensure they get the best of care. My availability is quite flexible, and I typically have the ability to run over and do house visits or walks as often as they are needed, and I’m able to provide housesitting services, too! I unfortunately am unable to host animals in my home due to rules against it (I’m a renter). I apologize in advance if this causes any kind of inconvenience. But I’m able to happily provide housesitting/petsitting services at my clients homes.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats my whole life. I grew up on a farm, and love all animals. I watch my friends and families dogs regularly; walking, feeding, and bathing their four legged family members I do work from 8-330 Monday-Friday, but have an 1.5hour lunch daily, and always have free time after work. I also have a dog room set up specifically for pups, where they can play or take a nap on huge dog bed. Ruffland Kennels are available for crating as well if your pet is crate trained. While our yard is not fenced, Dogs are always leashed or on a long line and supervised while outside. I also have a slat mill and dog pacer treadmill to provide plenty of exercise during inclement weather. I can also provide plenty of enrichment via puzzle toys, lick mats and kongs which is important for mental stimulation.

I do not have a fenced yard at my house, I always stay with my puppy weather on leads or ecollar. We have an electric fence but I ensure nothing can come into our yard(other animals, people etc). If we do not use the electric fence we use a long lead. At a clients home if they have a fenced yard I would still never leave an animal unattended, that’s just me personally. I would love to spend time with your pets outside, maybe we can play a little or if your fur babies just wanna soak up some sun and relax, I’m here for it all! If the client does not have a fenced yard I would use a long lead or regular leash and never leave the pup pup unattended. For safety both in my own home or clients I utilize a crate if necessary, and positive reinforcement for good behavior! I also have experience with muzzles and other tools(collars, leads, head leads, etc) Its not only about protecting me and others but to ensure the safety of the animal as well. About: I’ve had pets my entire life, so I love to help take care of them and love on them! I’ve also looked after plenty of animals for family and friends when they’re out of town, with one family friend having me come back to dog sit for them for the last three years! Right now, I’m home from college for the summer, and don’t have a job, so my schedule is pretty free unless I have an appointment or other things going on on a certain day! I don’t offer boarding for pets in my own home unfortunately, but for my clients, I will make sure all their needs are met and more, playing with them and making sure they’re doing great before I leave for the day.

“We will definitely use Melody again- you will not be disappointed! We have a 9 month old golden doodle and decided to take a last minute trip. We have never used a boarding service before, so I was extremely nervous! Upon booking, we spoke with Melody, who was quick with her responses, she explained her background (30 years of dog sitting!), the layout of where the dogs stay, and her daily routine with them. We felt she was a good match for our expectations. We arrived at her location, and felt a huge sense of relief! Melody has safe drop off/ pick up procedures, she has multiple gates you have to go in/ out of, and a large area in the back for the dogs to run and play. She evaluated Charlie and reassured us she was in good hands. We received a text 5 minutes after drop off that Charlie was happy and had already made a few puppy pals. With our overly excited, crazy dog I was expecting to get a phone call asking us to pick her up-NOT AT ALL! We are very happy with this experience and in fact, we spoke with Melody about bringing Charlie a few times durning the week for daycare. She is reasonably priced and truly cares about each pup! Only negative was, we did not get to see the atmosphere of where the dogs stay inside, but this is Melody’s house, so we respect that.”

“Well wut can I say, besides these two were heaven sent, & we dnt play about heaven or Hershee!👀😂 But no seriously, Hershee (our black lab) had just turned 4 yrs old (Aug 21st) the day b4 we found the app & dropped him off to these beautiful folks, Jeremy & Laura (& their sweet sweet little bundle!).. Being that this was our 1st vacay away & Hershee's very 1st time w/out us in his 4 yrs of life, I think it's fair to say we were all a lil nervous at first (especially leaving him w/almost perfect strangers). Except Jeremy & Laura were no strangers at all, not to Hershee anyway! The way they opened their arms, home, & hearts to him, w/zero hesitation! This in fact, helped to lift our reluctant hearts as it pertained to leaving him ANYwhere (as 1st timers we didn't really kno wut to expect). But these two most def put to rest any apprehension we may have had due to our lack of experience w/any app regarding pup sitting. All in all, they kept us updated of his every like & dislike from the jump, only he didn't have any dislikes!😂 Hershee apparently felt right at home the moment the door was opened & he spotted their little one!🫶🏾 It was all giggles & plenty of kisses from that point!☺️ Laura & Jeremy's home was more than welcoming & inviting, which was great bcuz again, Hershee is known to b a bit anxious when it comes to unfamiliar surroundings/ ppl. However, these good ppl were very familiar to him, bcuz I think he seen just that (the good in them!) Thank u Laura & Jeremy for being everything we needed for Hershee over the weekend, & giving us the peace of mind to just BE & just enjoy ourselves while we were away!🫶🏾”
