“Sabrina was GREAT! She took wonderful care of my puppy and older dog. My puppy was nervous and she handled it so well. Made them feel so comfortable and was sure to give my puppy all the extra love and care she needed. She sent a ton of pictures, videos and updates, which made me feel really good about them not being with me. I would 10/10 recommend Sabrina and will definitely call her when the need arises for doggy care again!!! THANK YOU, Sabrina!!!”

“Sharon and Albert were fantastic hosts for Mushu. They sent frequent pictures and provided daily updates. Our pug went for a nice walk daily with them. Mushu was in good hands and had lots of fun staying with Sharon and Albert. They have a good front/backyard for the dogs to play in. They do take up to 4 doggies so it may get crowded. I recommend Sharon and Albert, and trust them to watch my PUG. There costs are higher than some others, but they do provide good service. Late pickups will require an extra night's stay.”

“It was my first time leaving my little girl, and I was Worried something terrible. Lisette could Not have been more understanding and reassuring and Sent a photo of my relaxed pup. She took wonderful Care, and baby was so happy with Lisette. I will Definitely use her again. Thank you.”

“Once again, Sara and Jake were lifesavers when it came to watching my dog when I went out of town on short notice. I have a big, bouncey, energetic boy who can sometimes be a lot to deal with, but Sara’s calm, confident, and highly competent disposition always makes me feel so at ease about leaving my pup with her. She’s also amazing about communicating and sending little updates and photos, which makes me feel even better about sending my doggo off to have a fun getaway. Sara is top of my go-to list for sitters and I’d recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a sweet, fun, safe, and highly capable caregiver for their pet!”

When dogs and I walk I enjoy getting to know the surrounding area. Many times a neighbor will talk to me when we are on our walks! I am retired. Since I am available to travel to your home and stay there with your pets while I enjoy them and the time spent reading and visiting local attractions. Should you wish to use my home for care, I am home a lot while going out for a couple of hours at a time for my social meetings and such. I appreciate that much of the time I spend will be at your home with your pets. If I go out they will be wherever you leave them when you go to work or play. I always make sure they are safe and that I return in time for walks, their next meal and shared evening and sleep routine time.

About: I grew up on a ranch and I am familiar with providing care to a wide range of animals, with an assortment of needs, not excluding dogs of course. I am familiar with providing care to high energy dogs, puppies, mature dogs needing special care, and working dogs. In my life, I have seen over 5 beloved dogs through to their final chapters of life and I am confident in my ability to provide gentle, intuitive, nurturing care. I am excited to provide care for other local dogs’, and to cultivate a more social home environment for my friendly, playful dog. I am a passionate dog lover and I look forward to the day that I can open a non profit dog sanctuary down the road when I retire, but until then, this is my adventure. I have experience with in-house dog sitting, drop by walks, and dog sitting in my own home and I am happy to accommodate whatever works best for your companion in the moment. I can promise that your space will be respected, and all house rules will be honored if an in-home option is selected. If I accept your booking for my own home, just know that your dog will be the only guest I accept for that window of time. To ensure that I provide the best care, I only accept one dog at a time. Exceptions can be made if you are looking to book your two bonded doggos together at once :) I have one 4 year old male dog that is gentle and playful and will be glad for the company. I work full time from home, and travel for work occasionally (mostly in the summer). I will only accept bookings during weeks while I am working fully from home so that I can provide the best care. On my days working at home, I am able to take breaks freely, allowing me to go on walks and runs frequently. My house is situated along the forest line, and there is ample open space and trails accessible. I have a large fenced in deck that I leave the door open to during the day, for your dog and mine to enjoy the fresh air and to return inside the home unrestricted. The deck is within eyesight of my work desk. For exercise, I would be walking them on the trails behind my home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their West Point home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your West Point.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your West Point sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
