I have worked with all size dogs from tiny chihuahuas to 160 pound malamutes. I have spent my whole life with animals.I have hatched chickens, ducks, and quail. I have also raised rabbits. “Sylvia was just perfect! She is obviously an old hand at caring for dogs and I felt very comfortable leaving my Beagle/Jack Russel mix with her for eight nights while I was out of the country on business. We did a meet and greet a few days before my trip and I instantly saw that it was going to work. Her location in central Phoenix near the Phoenix Country Club area is probably on the way to or from the airport for many. Very convenient... The one thing that impressed me the most when I dropped my little guy off at the start was how Sylvia reviewed my printed instruction sheet on feeding and meds very carefully. She asked questions and confirmed details. She also sent a nicely worded report after the first night that helped me relax about leaving him and then another report on how he was doing near the end of the trip. It was just enough to keep me informed and happy that he was doing ok. When I picked up Harvey at the end of his eight night stay, he was glad to see me, but not too glad. He seemed happy and content. And... that is the most you can ask of a sitter like Sylvia... to take care of your little loved one like he was her own... Sylvia certainly did with flying colors! “Sara provided everything we were looking for . . . and more. We needed a place that would take just one dog at a time, as our Maggie has had some anxiety issues with too many dogs around. Sara was willing to do that, and it worked out great. Her property is perfect for Maggie, her own dog is just what Maggie needed. Sara took Maggie for many walks, let her go in the pond, and even bathed and brushed her before we picked her up. Treated her like her own dog and like the spoiled princess she is at home. Maggie came home happy, and probably a little miffed that we haven't taken her for three walks today!”
About: I grew up on a ranch and I am familiar with providing care to a wide range of animals, with an assortment of needs, not excluding dogs of course. I am familiar with providing care to high energy dogs, puppies, mature dogs needing special care, and working dogs. In my life, I have seen over 5 beloved dogs through to their final chapters of life and I am confident in my ability to provide gentle, intuitive, nurturing care. I am excited to provide care for other local dogs’, and to cultivate a more social home environment for my friendly, playful dog. I am a passionate dog lover and I look forward to the day that I can open a non profit dog sanctuary down the road when I retire, but until then, this is my adventure. I have experience with in-house dog sitting, drop by walks, and dog sitting in my own home and I am happy to accommodate whatever works best for your companion in the moment. I can promise that your space will be respected, and all house rules will be honored if an in-home option is selected. If I accept your booking for my own home, just know that your dog will be the only guest I accept for that window of time. To ensure that I provide the best care, I only accept one dog at a time. Exceptions can be made if you are looking to book your two bonded doggos together at once :) I have one 4 year old male dog that is gentle and playful and will be glad for the company. I work full time from home, and travel for work occasionally (mostly in the summer). I will only accept bookings during weeks while I am working fully from home so that I can provide the best care. On my days working at home, I am able to take breaks freely, allowing me to go on walks and runs frequently. My house is situated along the forest line, and there is ample open space and trails accessible. I have a large fenced in deck that I leave the door open to during the day, for your dog and mine to enjoy the fresh air and to return inside the home unrestricted. The deck is within eyesight of my work desk. For exercise, I would be walking them on the trails behind my home.
About: I’ve raised puppies, kittens, baby birds, chickens and various other animals, I’ve also had experience working on a dog farm and groomed various types of breeds. I’m available for part-time work and am flexible when it comes to scheduling. I am open to working Monday-Sun as long as it’s planned at least a week in advance. I have a fenced large yard with two separate deck areas, I am open to bringing the pets over and housing them or going to a clients house and pet sitting, walking or even bathing if needed in a comfortable and familiar place for the pet.
