About: I was born into a home with 3 dogs and 2 cats, around the age of 7 or 8 I became responsible for walking the dogs and feeding all the animals. I may be young but I do know how to take care of an animal and I have base access. I have a mostly open schedule but as a college student that changes from semester to semester. About: I’ve taken care of adult dogs and puppies. Potty training, and chewing training. Playing with them to help them exert energy, and bring the life back to them. I’ve helped with cleaning ears (helping restrain large dogs for the task), helped with administering meds for car trips. Transported dogs to vets offices (even with the bathroom trip in the middle😅). About: I like dogs because they encourage me to be active. Keeping pups clean and pretty is fun for me because my dog doesn't like water. I treat all dogs like children. I walk 2 Rottweilers everyday Monday thru Friday. Also, I walk and play with a Golden retriever named Hershey Monday thru Friday. I have stayed at my sister's house, she has a pitbull, blue heeler and lab mix. I have kept my parents Japanese Chin and Pekingese. So I have lots of experience with many different breeds of pups. “About 3 months ago we adopted our sweet shelter dog, Oscar. Not entirely sure of what we were getting ourselves into, we brought 3 yr old Oscar home. He was extremely affectionate and very dependant on humans. When my boyfriend and I would leave Oscar at home alone he would whine and bark, causing our neighbors to complain to the apartment management. The noise became so bad that we were asked to find Oscar a new home. Instead of taking him back to the shelter, Miah took him in and worked diligently with him. Miah trained Oscar to sit, lay down, and made him feel comfortable with being in the crate. He taught Oscar how to be part of a pack and gave him confidence. During the month that Miah had Oscar, he also showed me and my boyfriend how to be pack leaders and the importance of leading Oscar to success. We've had Oscar back for a few weeks now and we couldn't be happier. Each day we make progress and I feel we gain a little bit more of his trust. I have never met a person who loves dogs as much as he does. We call him the Gilbert dog whisperer. I am forever grateful for what Miah has done for us and Oscar. He saved our sweet boy.”
