“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My dog walker has been amazing! She’s so flexible and accommodating, and really understands what my active lab needs. She makes sure he gets plenty of exercise, stimulation, and attention to keep him happy and healthy. I always feel at ease knowing he’s in such good hands!”

“Kitty is a dog whisperer. One of my two dogs is very shy and anxious. When Kitty arrived to take them for a walk, even after not having seen her in months, both dogs ran to her. I feel completely confident that the dogs are happy and well taken care of when I have either boarded with Kitty or had her take them for walks.”

I am a veterinary assistant so I am able to care for senior dogs, puppies, cats and a variety of other animals. I rent a pet friendly home in a peaceful area around nature so I am able to host animals in my home or yours! This is my main source of income at the moment so I am able to provide care full time. I am willing to do any services needed, bathing, walking, feedings, etc. I enjoy taking dogs for walks and providing a lot of play time.

About: I love animals! I was raised around animals all of my life. My parents had a hobby farm, complete with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, cows, emu's, sheep, ducks, pigs, etc. We bred and raised dogs of all kinds: huskies, dalmatians, chihuahuas, beagles, labs, golden retrievers, pugs, and so on. Since my childhood, I've helped feed, care for, and even administer medicine to our animals. I moved to Lexington KY in the Fall of 2010 and decided to take care of others' furry friends while they're away. I started and ran my own dog walking and pet sitting business for 7 years. I ended up closing down to do some traveling. But I sure miss getting out and spending time with my furry friends. Whether you're at work, on vacation, or just out for the day, it will be my Joy to take care of your pets. From midday walks and home visits, to puppy breaks and house sittings, I'll treat your pet as my own, and make sure they get plenty of lovin'. “Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you.” That’s what I try to live by. And I’ll bring that ethos with me everyday to Caring for your seeet fur baby or babies.

Each dog receives the individual attention and care that’s needed in a well structured environment.
About: A lifelong dog-lover, I have experience owning, walking, and caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments and energy levels. Keeping your dog safe and happy is my first priority My schedule is very flexible so I can usually arrange walks at any time from 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday. Let me know what you need and I’m sure we can work something out! I can schedule up to one hour per walk. Paved surfaces only for highly reactive dogs; willing to walk on uneven terrain with calm walkers
“Holiday week and work is crazy! Meredith walked porter 1.1 miles and gave him a much needed break. Thank you Meredith! I liked the pics of my dog during the walks, and I appreciated that Meredith was willing to come visit Porter a few days before walking him to let him get to know her.”
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I have been taking care of animals since I was 15 years old. I stared working at a vets office and haven’t looked back. Pet care can look like many different things in my week such as, a single feeding, a walk, a check in or the full on in home service with all the feedings and all the walks. While, I would love to have every dog and cat over to my house I can’t realistically do that b/c I own a cat who does love other cats and she tolerates dogs, your dog or cat would have to be cat friendly. So most of my jobs are me coming to your home whether that is a drop in or a full time boarding situation while you’re on vacation.

I have a background in emergency medical care and animal health assessment(so if any issues do arise I am highly qualified to deal with them) also I have lots of room outdoors for exercise and enrichment. My w9rk partner Alfie is cordial and a great companion for some good positive Socialization.
About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, cats, and birds. I have administered medication for older cats and dogs, fed and rode horses, learned how to intervene safely in the event of a dog altercation, and love just spending time with pets of all types and sizes. As I kid, before everyone had a smartphone, I made fliers for dog walking and petsitting, and spread them in nearby neighborhoods. Throughout late elemtary school and middle school I did loads of dog walking and caring for pets while their owners were away. In high school my time was more consumed by schoolwork and sports, but I was still exposed to petsitting though my brother who did Rover constantly. I spent lots of time with him, and observed his tender and efficient care for the animals he looked after. Hello! I am a recent graduate from Appalachian State University with a degree in Agroecology (sustainable agriculture). In Boone I worked on a farm with livestock such as goats, chickens, and pigs. I also worked with children ages 4-14 for two years at High Country Forest WIld- an all outdoor experiential education program. I also balanced taking care of my two cats while having loads of schoolwork and trying to maintain a social life. Now I'm back home in the triangle and eager to continue working with animals, as its one of the things that brings me feel joy. Petsitting allows me a flexible job while I navigate this next chapter of my life and gives me another way to connect with the community in another way. I cherish each chance to meet everyone's furry companions & learn more about people outside of my daily rhythms. I am an avid hiker, runner, and nature lover, so am always happy to take along any pet that's down for an adventure to the nearby trails. I've watched houses with up to 7 dogs at a time, so I'm very comfortable with multiple animals and giving each one the attention they need. No one knows your pet better than you. So whatever information you would like to provide for me to know their needs while you're away would be appreciated. Such as the way they take their medication best, places they love to go, how they handle interacting with new animals/people, and any triggering behavior to look out for.
About: Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me. I am a full time potter who just opened an art gallery in downtown Blowing Rock. I run the gallery Wednesday-Sat 11-5 and Sunday 1-5. Beyond those hours, I can make myself available to spend time with your pet(s) either at my home or yours, as frequently as is needed. If your pet needs a potty break midway through my shift, I may be able to accommodate by having a friend cover my gallery mid day to run to let them out. Otherwise, I’ll just be sure they get a good thorough walk before and after my shift. I live in a peaceful home with a large fenced in backyard, and nice quiet streets to walk with your pet as needed. I will follow whatever routines you generally stick to and prefer when working with your animals.
About: What sets me apart is my experience with high-energy, intelligent breeds and my calm, reliable care style. I’ve spent years working with German Shorthaired Pointers, Brittany Spaniels, and Border Collie/Aussie mixes—so I understand the mental and physical stimulation these dogs need to stay balanced and happy. I tailor every stay to fit your dog’s needs, whether it’s active play, structured walks, puzzle games, or just a calm, comforting environment. I’m also confident caring for senior dogs and administering medications, and I prioritize consistency to keep your pup feeling secure and loved. With me, your dog isn’t just watched—they’re truly cared for. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life—it’s not something I squeeze in, it’s something I prioritize. I plan my day around the dogs in my care, making sure they get the attention, exercise, and companionship they need to feel secure and happy. Whether it’s early morning walks, playtime in the yard, or quiet evenings with snuggles and routine care, I’m fully present and hands-on. Because I work from home (or have a flexible schedule—adjust as needed), I’m able to give pets consistent, all-day attention. I love creating a routine that mirrors their home life as much as possible to keep things low-stress and familiar. In clients’ homes, I’m respectful of their space and routines. I keep things as close to the dog’s normal schedule as possible, from feeding and walks to bedtime routines. I always send updates and photos so you feel connected and confident that your dog is happy and well cared for. My priority is building trust—with both you and your pet—so every stay feels smooth, stress-free, and full of tail wags.
About: DISREGARD REVIEW FROM ROBIN! It contains lies which meet the standard for libel. Nothing in her review is true. I did come the night before at her request, but every other remark is untrue. I have two dozen 5-star reviews from this site and others. Where to start? Three dogs with 11 legs, 50+ cats, 2 alpacas, 7 parrots, farm critters— Out of space! What else? And…um…Ack! Estates, hovels, and— Being retired from the rat race, I now sit full-time. That means I’m there 24/7 to give your Fur/Feather/Scale Babies and home love and care The safety of your pets/home are of utmost importance, so a schedule and information list are essential. I prefer arriving early to go over everything. Being retired, sitting pets and homes is my only focus. Actually, available within a four-hundred mile radius, all the way to the coast, the big city, and everywhere in between! I make certain your home and your pets are in the same pristine condition as when I arrived. The pets (who have lips) will be smiling. Of course, they will be even more exciting to see you again. The house would be smiling, if not for that whole lips thing.
