About: What sets me apart from other sitters is that I have been taking care of animals since I was 15 years old. I stared working at a vets office and haven’t looked back. Pet care can look like many different things in my week such as, a single feeding, a walk, a check in or the full on in home service with all the feedings and all the walks. While, I would love to have every dog and cat over to my house I can’t realistically do that b/c I own a cat who does love other cats and she tolerates dogs, your dog or cat would have to be cat friendly. So most of my jobs are me coming to your home whether that is a drop in or a full time boarding situation while you’re on vacation.
About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, cats, and birds. I have administered medication for older cats and dogs, fed and rode horses, learned how to intervene safely in the event of a dog altercation, and love just spending time with pets of all types and sizes. As I kid, before everyone had a smartphone, I made fliers for dog walking and petsitting, and spread them in nearby neighborhoods. Throughout late elemtary school and middle school I did loads of dog walking and caring for pets while their owners were away. In high school my time was more consumed by schoolwork and sports, but I was still exposed to petsitting though my brother who did Rover constantly. I spent lots of time with him, and observed his tender and efficient care for the animals he looked after. Hello! I am a recent graduate from Appalachian State University with a degree in Agroecology (sustainable agriculture). In Boone I worked on a farm with livestock such as goats, chickens, and pigs. I also worked with children ages 4-14 for two years at High Country Forest WIld- an all outdoor experiential education program. I also balanced taking care of my two cats while having loads of schoolwork and trying to maintain a social life. Now I'm back home in the triangle and eager to continue working with animals, as its one of the things that brings me feel joy. Petsitting allows me a flexible job while I navigate this next chapter of my life and gives me another way to connect with the community in another way. I cherish each chance to meet everyone's furry companions & learn more about people outside of my daily rhythms. I am an avid hiker, runner, and nature lover, so am always happy to take along any pet that's down for an adventure to the nearby trails. I've watched houses with up to 7 dogs at a time, so I'm very comfortable with multiple animals and giving each one the attention they need. No one knows your pet better than you. So whatever information you would like to provide for me to know their needs while you're away would be appreciated. Such as the way they take their medication best, places they love to go, how they handle interacting with new animals/people, and any triggering behavior to look out for.

I am also happy to check your mail, water plants, and if you live on a small farm like me, care for any kind of critters.

We've got a large backyard and plenty of energy to provide if needed!
About: I have loved and cared for a variety of animals since a small child. Ive cared for my own as well as for friends and family members with the patience and kindness all animals deserve. Relatively open schedule that can fit most peoples needs. I have the time on my hands to help others and would love to spend it with your fur babies. I have a larger unfenced yard and a home full of animals. With 6 dogs and 3 cats everyday is full of excitement. Each dog receives the individual attention and care that’s needed in a well structured environment.
About: What sets me apart is my experience with high-energy, intelligent breeds and my calm, reliable care style. I’ve spent years working with German Shorthaired Pointers, Brittany Spaniels, and Border Collie/Aussie mixes—so I understand the mental and physical stimulation these dogs need to stay balanced and happy. I tailor every stay to fit your dog’s needs, whether it’s active play, structured walks, puzzle games, or just a calm, comforting environment. I’m also confident caring for senior dogs and administering medications, and I prioritize consistency to keep your pup feeling secure and loved. With me, your dog isn’t just watched—they’re truly cared for. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life—it’s not something I squeeze in, it’s something I prioritize. I plan my day around the dogs in my care, making sure they get the attention, exercise, and companionship they need to feel secure and happy. Whether it’s early morning walks, playtime in the yard, or quiet evenings with snuggles and routine care, I’m fully present and hands-on. Because I work from home (or have a flexible schedule—adjust as needed), I’m able to give pets consistent, all-day attention. I love creating a routine that mirrors their home life as much as possible to keep things low-stress and familiar. In clients’ homes, I’m respectful of their space and routines. I keep things as close to the dog’s normal schedule as possible, from feeding and walks to bedtime routines. I always send updates and photos so you feel connected and confident that your dog is happy and well cared for. My priority is building trust—with both you and your pet—so every stay feels smooth, stress-free, and full of tail wags.
About: DISREGARD REVIEW FROM ROBIN! It contains lies which meet the standard for libel. Nothing in her review is true. I did come the night before at her request, but every other remark is untrue. I have two dozen 5-star reviews from this site and others. Where to start? Three dogs with 11 legs, 50+ cats, 2 alpacas, 7 parrots, farm critters— Out of space! What else? And…um…Ack! Estates, hovels, and— Being retired from the rat race, I now sit full-time. That means I’m there 24/7 to give your Fur/Feather/Scale Babies and home love and care The safety of your pets/home are of utmost importance, so a schedule and information list are essential. I prefer arriving early to go over everything. Being retired, sitting pets and homes is my only focus. Actually, available within a four-hundred mile radius, all the way to the coast, the big city, and everywhere in between! I make certain your home and your pets are in the same pristine condition as when I arrived. The pets (who have lips) will be smiling. Of course, they will be even more exciting to see you again. The house would be smiling, if not for that whole lips thing.
“Anaiah was a wonderful cat sitter! She did her daily drop in visits at approximately the same time each day and provided wonderful pictures that allowed us to see how happy our cat was to see her!!”

“We enjoyed working with Christine and our dog Leo liked her. She communicates effectively and responds fast. We appreciated the updates she sent us while we were away. We highly recommend her.”

“Rick was wonderful! He made a point to cuddle my babies every night rather than just seeing to their immediate needs. He also sent me daily updates with pictures. I highly recommend him as he exceeded my expectations!”

About: I have always had dogs in the house, from old cranky dogs to puppies. I currently have a chocolate lab who was 8 months old when I got him so we have been through it all together. I learned a lot more about pets while working at a pet nutrition shop. I love pets and I appreciate when they are in compassionate hands. It's easy to be mean to a little animal when they make you mad but they don't learn from that, they just get scared. They actually thrive when you show them praise for doing things correctly. It’s all about good energy. I love sharing some knowledge as well as learning. I also would love to take your dog for a walk or run. Excercise is so important to a healthy dog!

“Kitty , was great! My 2 boys are abit shy and picky as to whom they share their affection with. But Kitty won them over, to my surprise. I will be contacting Kitty again in the near future for another drop by take care of Blue Boy and BlackJack. I would recommend to anyone in this area to contact Kitty for drop in care of their critters.”
