About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have cared for four dogs of different ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently have an 8-year-old mutt named Tucker who is incredibly sweet. Tucker previously went through heartworm treatment, so I have experience following medication schedules and giving medication as directed. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playing, basic grooming, and giving pets plenty of attention. I’ve also owned and cared for parrots, iguanas, lizards, hamsters, and many other animals. I genuinely love animals and will treat every pet like one of my own. I’m currently in college and only have about three hours of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to give your pets the attention they deserve. We had our summer vacation already booked and desperately needed a caring quality person to come and feed and play with our new dependents. We rescued the kittens, Kayli rescued us. We purchased a large cage we call the cat castle. Kayli would come in the morning and let them play, and while cleaning up and then feed the crew. She would come back and do this procedure again in the evening. Kayli was also kind enough to bring in deliveries that you think were properly put on hold but for some reason shipped anyway. “Katy took care of my 5-month-old puppy, Bagel, for three days while I was in the area taking a painting class. Bagel is a very sweet, social and energetic puppy who loves people and other dogs, but he can become overstimulated around other dogs and doesn’t always know how to settle himself yet. Although I had explained that ahead of time, I don’t think either Katy or I realized just how difficult it would be for him to settle in a new home with another dog around. Katy really did try hard to make him comfortable. She took him on walks, played with him, worked on calming him down, and even made a trip to the pet store for a stronger harness, leash, blanket, treats and other things she thought might help. She communicated with me throughout the day and was very honest when she felt Bagel was becoming more than she could comfortably manage for a full day. After two particularly challenging days, we agreed to shorten his third day. Interestingly, he seemed to be settling in better by then, and Katy ended up keeping him until about 2:00 rather than the noon pickup we had planned. Bagel was always happy to see Katy and willingly went with her each morning, which meant a lot to me. I also really liked Katy personally and appreciated how much she cared about making the situation work. Bagel was simply a much bigger handful in her home than I expected, and I think being around another dog all day made it especially hard for him to turn himself off and rest. I’m grateful for the effort Katy put in and for how much she genuinely cared about Bagel during his stay.”

About: I love dogs and cats and grew up with both in my home since I was a baby. I pet sit on the side for friends and family and have loved it. I love to play and cuddle and walk your dogs. I live in the North Wilkesboro area. I have one dog who is 3 yrs old and loves friends. I am an administrator by trade so dedicated, hard-working, and responsible. I am clean and tidy so you don't have to worry about coming home to a dirty house. I don't mind cleaning up after myself or your pet. I work full time 8-4:30. I am home on the weekend. I spend my nights and weekends with my dog so we can easily include yours as well! I have one 3 year old female dog. She is fixed, trained and won’t be a problem. We go on walks and I have a long chain for the dogs to explore the yard with. I live in a safe neighborhood with no worries or issues. I treat the dogs like family. I’m comfortable and experienced working with pets of a variety of ages, from young kittens to older senior pups. I am available for pet sitting gigs in your home most days of the week. I also offer doggy day care and overnight boarding in my home Thursday afternoons through Sundays. I’m a flexible and responsive sitter, please reach out to connect! Our home is located in a private, quiet country setting. We have a fenced in yard for pups to play in. We have a dog ourselves who enjoys time with other pups and we also have an outdoor cat. Happy to take dogs on walks, run around in the fenced area, play fetch. etc. And, if cuddling is their thing, then I'll be curled up right beside them. Snugs = the best.
