We have two very shy kitties and she let them have their space while making sure their were good. We were happy to see the kitties were not stressed when we got home. Having previously owned a Golden Retriever and two mixed-breed rescues, I am experienced in caring for different personalities and activity levels. I make it a point to step away from my screen for several breaks throughout the day, which provides the perfect opportunity for us to head outside for fresh air and supervised playtime in the yard. Once I log off for the evening, we head out for a long walk to wind down and get some exercise. My weekends are dedicated to trail walking, and I love having a furry friend join me for these longer outdoor adventures. Since I don't have other pets or children, your dog will truly be the centerpiece of my day and will fit right into my active lifestyle. Since I work from home and live alone, I provide a quiet, low-stress environment where your dog is the sole focus of my attention. My day is built around companionship—your dog can lounge in my office while I work, and we take frequent breaks to play in my large, fully fenced-in backyard. I strictly follow your existing feeding and medication schedule to keep their routine as normal as possible. Because I am active, they will enjoy a long evening walk every day and the option for trail adventures on the weekends.

About: I worked at an animal shelter where I helped care for dogs, cats, and small animals. I gained experience with lots of different categories like feeding, cleaning, playtime, and making sure animals felt comfortable and cared for. I also have experience with reactive dogs/cats and making sure to create an environment where they thrive and do not feel the need to be reactive. I also worked with many different types of cats, especially the shy ones who just needed more support. I have also given vaccines and medicine to animals, as well as taken a senior diabetic cats blood sugar. I understand every pet is different, and I’m happy to follow any routines and give them all the patience and attention they need and deserve! I also have experience with family animals! Growing up, we had all sizes of dogs, from a German Shepherd to an Italian Greyhound! So I have experience with all different animal personalities like door dashers, small velcro pups, and the older ones too:) I currently have a small dog, a bearded dragon, and a hamster! I truly love animals and want pet parents to feel comfortable knowing their pets are safe, happy, and getting lots and lots of love while they’re away! I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available most days of the week, including weekdays and weekends. I’m able to accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening pet care as needed! I live in a rented apartment, so sadly I’m not able to board pets in my home. I do offer care in clients’ homes, which I believe is often best for pets since they can stay in their own familiar space:) I always make sure to follow instructions closely, keep the environment clean, and prioritize each pet’s safety and comfort.

This was not the easiest ask given it was very hot in our area during her stay and our puppy (prone to heat stroke) needs a fair amount of exercise. Alexa handled it very well. She was very reliable, trustworthy and had great communication before and during our stay, which allowed us to be fully present on our travels and relax while we were away knowing Milo was well cared for. My current familiar is a gorgeous grey Nebelung cat, adopted as a kitten 5 years ago. She requires a special ZD diet and biweekly subcutaneous shots. I have experience attaching kitty nail caps, when she was younger, with coordinated guidance while we were sussing out an unknown skin condition that was causing her to scratch aggressively, continually opening wounds, not giving them a chance to heal. Her condition is now under control, and she no longer requires the nail caps. Prior cats I have cared for have ranged from 3 lbs to 28 lbs! Our family pooch is an English Springer Spaniel, a unique tri-color showcasing beautiful Sable color. We welcomed him to our home 6 years ago. He is our 2nd Springer in 21 years. They are such a loving, fun, and gentle breed. I have much experience in connecting with and walking rescue dogs as well, mixed breeds including Sharpei, Pit Bull, Rottie, Jack Russel, Corgie, Labradoodles, Spaniels, etc. Sanitation is the start of keeping our friends safe and healthy; exercise and fresh air are necessary as well to have a happy, healthy home life. I can provide these things for your loved furry friend(s) while you are traveling or working.

About: I’ve had pets all my life and feel confident in my ability be to caring, responsible, and genuine when dealing with any pup. I will treat any dog like my own—with attention, safety, and affection. I am currently working part time from 5-12pm m,w,th,f but I’m usually available in the afternoon on those days from 3-5 and between classes during the week, but any time could work just let me know and I will try to make it work! Weekends I’m free and available. I’m available to either come to my clients home to watch their pet or stop by for walks or feeding. Really any help the client is looking for I will happily do.

About: I’ve had pets and taken care of animals my entire life. I’ve always had cats- my first cat I got when I was three, and I’ve been the primary caretaker for them since. I’ve also had bunnies, dogs, hamsters, and fish! In my hometown (Madison, WI) I was always the go-to pet caretaker. I’ve walked and house sat all kinds of dogs, cats, and other furry friends. Being around animals is something I value a lot! I work part time at Ore Dock Brewery in the summer, and am a nursing student at NMU during the school year! I have lots of free time and am super flexible. I am caring, fun, and perceptive to what your animal needs. I am willing to go on long walks, play catch, cuddle, work on training, groom, or anything else you or your animals wants! I am confident in my ability to keep your pet safe and happy.

About: I have been around animals for most of my life and love hanging out with them. I have also been a house sitter a couple times for some of my family members while they are out of town as well. I'm currently attending Northern Michigan University so I will be mostly available on weekends as well as most weekdays after 3:30pm. Any other times can be discussed as needed! I am a very tidy person so I can keep the house clean, and clean up after any messes a pet might make.
