About: I have had a dog since birth. I have both big and little dogs, and I'm not intimidated by much. Each dog shows love differently. I am a full time sitter now. My long term care slots are filled up now! I have my daily daycare routine worked out pretty well, so I can do walks and/or pop-ins if necessary! We have a fenced in back yard, toys, love, and attention. Each animal deserves respect, dedication, and love to help make them feel safe always.
“Glen is doing wonderful job with our Sasha. She is more playful and happier in general. She makes him work to start but than enjoys the fresh air and is ready for nap when they get back. Couldn’t be happier!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was little, house sitting for neighbors when I was in high school. I worked at a vet clinic that offers doggy daycare and boarding. I know how to administer medication to dogs of all ages and temperaments. I can navigate nervousness in your pup, and help them feel comfortable when you aren’t home. I also have two dogs of my own, both high energy breeds, so I understand the need to exercise your beloved pets and make sure they have proper mental and physical stimulation. Your dog or cat deserves the love you give them everyday, even when you’re away from home; and I intend to give them that same love when I take care of them. I work fully remotely so I am available to assist almost any day of the week and really anytime, with a preference for middays and evenings. Even if I don’t have my availability listed for that day, please reach out and I will always try my best to accommodate! For my own dog, I have him crate trained so he don’t get into anything dangerous while I am gone. As for others animals I make sure they have constant access to fresh water, that their schedule is met, meaning consistent potty breaks, feedings ie. (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and playtimes. Finley is leash reactive, so having experience in that would be beneficial if your pup isn’t as easy of a walker if you’d like them to be.

I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, love, and care, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! I’m definitely a busy body but not too much ;) I currently work at Carl Methodist hospital as a CNA and I also work at a bridal boutique in Lincoln, Illinois where I sell homecoming prom and wedding gowns. I am currently in college going into my sophomore year and I will have class on Thursday Friday and Saturday and that will take up at least three hours of those days. I’m very confident with my time management skills and will never take on too much. I hope you’ll consider me! I will try my best to fulfill every request needed to care for your animals and any in-home needs related to them. I take pride and what I do and do it all to the best of my ability.
About: I have always loved dogs! I have lots of time and energy to play with all kinds of dogs.I love to be outdoors, and love to go hiking especially with a cute 4 legged companion. I play many sports, and I love to throw the ball around! So I have no problem playing fetch for long periods of time. I am available 7 days a week. I will give each dog love and affection! I have had dogs all of my life, and know they hold an irreplaceable spot in our hearts. I have always been the go to pet sitter for my whole family, and I have been doing it since I was about 8 years old. I have experience bathing, blow drying, and brushing dogs hair. My dream job would be to walk, play, and cuddle dogs all day. I just moved to Peoria, so me and my dog Jimmy spend lots of our time checking out new spots on all trails, and going to new parks for walkies! I love walking and being outdoors. I never skip a walk no matter the weather so exercise and sniffs will be a daily routine! Great at following instructions for your dogs needs. I will always treat your pup like it’s my own. I want owners and dogs to have the best time!
“Daniel is awesome. Super professional and our best experience on rover hands down. He’s goes above and beyond, is great with our Juno and is an awesome communicator. Top shelf/best in class. We highly recommend Daniel and will continue to book him when we need a walker. Thanks Daniel 👍👋🐶”

About: I have had pets all my life. Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters- you name it, we had one! While I’m not a professional, I have raised stray cats, grew up with dogs, and have 6 pets of my own (including 3 lizards). I have experience with senior pets and am very attentive to our furry friends! I am currently in school for massage therapy and work part-time, but I still want to make sure I carve out time for those who are just as busy as I am. Feel free to reach out with any questions! I do have class during the day and work part-time in the evening. I am available Thursday & Saturday evenings, Friday’s and Sunday’s all day. I believe pets have a good judge of character. I’m a very warm and calm person in my everyday life, and I believe that’s why pets gravitate towards me. While in your home and with your pet, their safety and well-being is a priority that I take very seriously!
“Katie is WONDERFUL!! Wags, my overweight beagle (who lets me live there with my cat Top!) is already showing signs of having more energy. When I come home, he is bouncing up and down to meet me. It has been a while since he had this energy; I know it’s ALL because of Katie walking Wags! Besides this, Wag’s loves Katie and didn’t give me a second look when she came for him!!!♥️♥️”

I have hands-on experience caring for pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities, including feeding, walking, playtime, and providing lots of attention and affection. I’m comfortable following specific care instructions, sticking to routines, and making sure pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their needs, energy levels, and comfort cues. Whether it’s an energetic walk, a calm cuddle session, or simply keeping them company, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m able to plan my schedule around feedings, walks, drop-in visits, and quality time, making sure each pet gets the attention they need. I’m reliable with timing, flexible when plans change, and happy to accommodate specific routines. Whether it’s quick check-ins or longer visits, I make pet care a priority and make sure every visit is calm, consistent, and stress-free. When caring for pets in my home or theirs, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions closely, provide plenty of attention and enrichment, and make sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their environment. I respect each pet’s personality—whether they’re playful, shy, or independent—and adjust my care to meet their needs. Cleanliness, safety, and communication are always priorities, and I make sure owners feel confident and updated while they’re away.
“She is thoroughly awesome. She was on time, helped with some training, even though I had just expected her to walk and sit with my puppy. I would highly recommend her. She is kind, caring and knowledgeable about dogs. :)”

I have experience administering insulin to diabetic animals, feeding/watering and walking. I currently work only 3 days a week and my husband works from home full-time giving us plenty of time to spend with your furry friends! Currently I work 3 days a week at a hospital in Ann Arbor but do not have a set schedule. My husband works from home full-time Pets are allowed on furniture and the bed in our home. About: I've been watching and loving on dogs since I was in grade school. I'm a HUGE animal lover, with a passion for dogs- I can never learn enough about them. I managed a dog boarding/daycare facility, but discovered the stress of over 80+ dogs in my care at once was a little too much for me to handle. After a couple years away, I decided to come back to the dog boarding/daycare industry part time. Doing this, I was reminded that not all dogs thrive in this type of environment and do better in a home atmosphere. I have very active dogs myself and wake up extra early in the morning to make sure my dogs are properly exercised and played with before I go to work because I believe in order to have a healthy dog, they have to be worn out both physically and mentally and that is very important to me. I now have the ability to work from home and tend to work from home when I have doggy guests staying with me. What to expect when your dog stays with me: Lower stress and home environment for your pups! I have two big dogs and a little dog and am also set up so I can keep them separated if your dog doesn't particularly enjoy k9 company! I send pictures and videos and will keep in contact with you as little or as much as you'd like. I work full time, but I'm able to work my own hours. I adjust my work schedule based on the needs of the paws in my care. I have a large fenced yard. If your pup is staying at my home, I do require that they are crate trained for the safety of your pet.

I can also provide housesitting services, and have been housesitting for about 5 years as well. With me, your pet will stay engaged, happy, and especially cared for; Your pet is unique, and I'll be able to meet whatever needs you're looking for in a pet-sitter. Dog walking, pet sitting, home care, you name it and I'm there. I'd love to help you out! I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to look after your pets. My schedule is pretty flexible, so I can work with you to find a good routine. I enjoy long walks and can handle any size or temperament. I can also bring toys to keep your pets occupied, and can even drive them to the dog park!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
