About: I have had pets all of my life, and I have helped take care of them from puppies to seniors. I have applied that knowledge into my professional work as well. I can feed and bathe pets, walk, and administer pills. I have previously worked with dogs, cats, birds, and bunnies. I am also close to several animal shelters and help socialize, walk, help with adoptions, and foster when needed. I am currently working as a contract worker, so I have free time and flexibility to take care of your fur babies! I take care of my own personal kitty cat, but other than that I am completely free to take care of your fur kids. When caring for animals at a client's home, I make sure to find out any and all safety features or precautions needed for their pets. I try to make sure the pets stay on their schedule, including any routines they may have such as walking a certain path, going out a specific door, etc.
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 6. I absolutely adore animals and their innocence. I am reliable and sweet to them at all times! I am currently working a part time job and my hours fluctuate, but I still have a flexible schedule to dog walk either when I get off or before work! I have a shih tzu at home who is a very calm dog. I feed her twice a day with blood pressure meds. She might already be tired of how much love I show her every second of the day!

About: I work in a rescue clinic where I have developed skills like administering medication, working with all ages from newborns to seniors, and working with animals of all sizes! I have owned a variety of pets over the years, and have had them from newborns up to 20 yrs old. My years of caring for animals includes everything from daily care, medications, subcutaneous fluids, special needs animals, fostering cats & dogs, and just about everything in between. My current role with a group I work with is TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) of feral & community cats, as well as working in the vet clinic. The spicy kitties and scared doggies are some of my favorites because they need patience, compassion, and a different approach than a typical pet. From the furry & fuzzy animals to the scaly & slithering, they are all welcome in my life! I would love to meet your babies and help you feel good knowing they are loved and cared for during your time away. I am not available on Tuesdays since that is the day I work in a rescue vet clinic. Every day I care for my personal pets, and would love to add your fur babies to my days. At this time, I'm not available to care for your pets in my home but I would be happy to recommend facilities that can care for your pets.
“Catecha really stepped in for us while in a bind due to last minute work trips and my overnight work schedule. Diesel loves walks, so I know he was excited for a morning one. Thanks again!”

“My dogs absolutely loved Heather! She was super sweet and very accommodating with very short notice. I will definitely use her again to walk my fur babies when I have to go out of town. Thanks so much, Heather!”

“Our Eli loves Karen and we trust her with our precious little boy. She’s always on time and takes the time to make sure Eli is cared for and settled before she leaves. Thank you, Karen!”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every pet as if they were my own. I don’t just “watch” pets—I build trust with them, learn their personalities, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely happy while you’re away. I have experience working with pets of all ages and needs, including puppies who are still learning routines and senior pets who need extra patience and gentle care. I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training (like potty schedules, leash manners, and crate training) and sticking closely to any routines you’ve already established at home. For older pets, I pay close attention to mobility, medication schedules, and making sure they’re relaxed and stress-free. I structure my schedule to allow time for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I’m intentional about not overbooking so I can give each pet the attention they deserve. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of both the space and the pet’s environment. I keep things clean, stick to their normal routine, and make sure your pet feels secure in their familiar surroundings. If pets are in my home, they’ll have a calm, safe, and supervised environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and rest.
“Mitchell was a natural with Sunny! He was comfortable walking our big guy, had great communication, excellent availability, and always on time. We know Sunny has a friend for walks when Mitchell is around. :)”

“Elizabeth was great....in communication, early arriving (for military people, on time), able to successfully walk my 3 dogs. She is what my dogs and I both needed.”

“Alexa is fantastic with Moon! She provides great communication and went above and beyond to make sure my dog was happy and spoiled. When I pick Moon up, she is very relaxed. I highly recommend and would gladly book with her again!"”

About: As a lifelong animal lover, I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. I currently care for my energetic 2-year-old dog, Aspen, previously raised a family dog from puppyhood through their senior years, and fostered to own two cats. I’m comfortable caring for both young, high-energy dogs and older dogs who need a slower pace and extra attention. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, sticking to a familiar routine, or simply relaxing with company, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pet is in reliable and caring hands. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday routine. I’m currently on paternity leave until the fall, so I have open availability and a flexible schedule to provide reliable care throughout the day. Whether it’s morning walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, or simply spending quality time with your pet, I’m able to give them the attention they deserve instead of rushing through visits. I enjoy being active with pets and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I care for every pet as if they were part of my own family. At home, my 2-year-old dog, Aspen, has a structured routine that includes daily walks, plenty of playtime, mental enrichment, and lots of affection. I pay close attention to her health and well-being by preparing nutritious homemade meals with quality ingredients, providing healthy treats, keeping her clean with oatmeal baths, and making sure she has safe, durable toys to keep her engaged. When caring for a client’s pet, I know every dog has different needs and routines, so I make it a priority to follow your instructions closely. Whether that means sticking to a feeding schedule, administering medication if needed, going on walks, playing fetch, providing companionship, or simply giving extra cuddles and reassurance, I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is to provide the same level of care and attention that I would want for my own dog.
About: I fell in love with dogs since the age of 4 after being terrified from my first encounter. But after a few more curiosity approaches, I went from being afraid to loving every dog I came across from walks and loving every dog I came across even on the roads. No matted fur or patches will stop me from giving it affection (ask my girlfriend about the dogs I pet on our trips lol) Any moods the fur baby gives I try to match so we both can say (or bark) “yeah this was a great day…now what about treats!” Tend to every need I can, have bathed my own fur baby but no experience with nail trimming (not forcing to do something they don’t like) and always love seeing that wide smiles either from play or from my belly scratches! Working full time so will really be available on every other weekend with some days in the week. Just message me and I’ll let you know my availability! Never want to miss meeting another fur-ones! Constant monitor when at play in case someone decides to eat something they had no business. Will always check area for random loose trash that might look to appetizing for the fur baby. We’re not getting no upset tummies in this (or your) household!

Currently working as a veterinary technician while pursuing licensure, I bring a unique blend of hands-on expertise and formal education to ensure the best possible care for your beloved pets. With the flexibility of working from home, I am available around the clock to attend to your pets' needs. My spacious home and yard ensure that your pets have ample room to play and thrive. This dedicated attention, combined with a pet-friendly environment, allows me to provide optimal care, keeping a close eye on their well-being at all times. I offer the option for your pets to stay in the comfort of my home, receiving dedicated care and attention. Alternatively, I can visit your home, thanks to my reliable transportation equipped with enough space for your pet and any necessary crates. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Forest
Morgan is by far the best dog walker I have gotten on this app. She is very good with my boys. She met with me beforehand to see if she was compatible with the dogs. Before she left, she handed me a sock so that the dogs can get familiar with her scent. I thought that was so thoughtful. She is very gentle with them and she can follow the directions needed to keep the dog safe. She even bring in Amazon packages if she sees them on the porch. I asked her if she would be flexible to picking up more days just in case I have to work late, and she was all for it. Overall, she’s just a thoughtful kind and caring person and I’m glad I chose her to walk my dogs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
