I know how important it is to have someone you can trust to care for your furry family members, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. As the proud mom of four cats and one dog, my days already revolve around feeding, walks, playtime, enrichment, and plenty of affection. Because caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, I can easily incorporate visits, walks, or check-ins into my schedule while giving each pet the attention and care they deserve. I care for every pet as if they were my own, while respecting their individual routines and personalities. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely to keep pets comfortable and maintain their normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and lots of love and attention. I also make sure they have fresh water, a clean environment, and plenty of companionship while you’re away. My goal is to provide dependable, stress-free care so both you and your pet can feel at ease.

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

About: I have been working with dogs since I was in 6th grade. I trained my childhood dog through a 4H program and we completed at the county fair each year in Obedience and Rally. Now I have a rescue who over the past 4 years we've helped work through a lot of reactivity and she now is an active participant in Rally competitions and other classes. As a teacher my summer is wide open for walks and drop in visits. Once the school year starts after school and weekends are open. I'm very comfortable with dogs of various sizes and needs. I can crate your furry family members, get them fed, out for walks etc. I'm comfortable with various walking equipment from harnesses to gentle leaders and collars.

About: I love dogs and had one for 17 years! Our good boy recently crossed the rainbow bridge and we miss him so much. I have experience with young dogs, but also with senior dogs I am currently available during the day every weekday, so whether it’s an early morning or late afternoon walk, I can be there no problem! I treat every dog like my own and give them as long as a walk as they prefer or as many pets as they desire!

About: I have been pet sitting for about 15 years, everything from quick play dates to extended stays lasting over a month. I've worked with a variety of dogs including a 13-year old 4 pound chihuahua, a vizla that required 5 or more hours of solid exercise a day, a 160 pound mastiff that thought he was a lap dog, and a very scared dalmatian/husky/german shepherd mix that needed some serious work on social interations. I've dealt with skunk attacks, bee stings, an intestinal blockage and various types of aggression. I AM NOT CURRENTLY ABLE TO STAY OVERNIGHT DURING SITTINGS. I KEPT IT IN MY PROFILE BECAUSE IT IS LESS EXPENSIVE THAN BOOKING MULTIPLE DROP-INS At the end of last year I ended up taking in 3 Doberman puppies that I had dog sat for regularly. I was able to find a home of one of them but the other two are still with me. Because of this I am not able to do extended stays that require me to be gone overnight or dogs that cannot be left alone for a few hours due to separation anxiety or medical reasons. But if your dog is friendly please consider boarding! I currently work from home with flexible hours most of the time. My schedule is very accommodating and I love being able to take advantage of nice weather or last minute requests. The yard where I am is NOT fenced in, but it is very large with several acres of wooded area in the back. For dogs that need to stay on leash there is a long tie out and plenty of walks. I never let the dogs play outside without supervision. There are two other friendly dogs on the property (in addition to my own 2) and two dogs next-door that come over to play all the time. So we have our own mini, well-mannered, well-socialized dog park.

About: Having worked as both a dog trainer and a pet care associate for PetSmart for 3+ years - as well as having always been a pet owner myself - I’ve learned a great deal about how to suit the needs of each and every pet and how to best communicate with them and accommodate their needs! As a teacher aide with summers off, I will have almost complete availability over summer. I am flexible and willing to work with you to figure out what will work best for I can comfortably handle different types of animals with my 2+ years of experience owning my own (cats, dogs, gerbils, hamsters, etc) and working with different species, as well as training dogs at my previous job as a PetSmart worker for 3+ years!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I work full time from home, with two dogs that I care for. I factor in potty breaks into my schedule and walks during meeting that permit. I love meeting new dogs and looking after them as if they were my own! I love taking dogs for long walks or to throw the frisbee. I am trained in CPR and have tele-vet on standby 24/7. Rest assured I’ve never had to use it.

About: I used to dog walk a couple dogs. Then I moved onto horses. So I know I can handle the hardest canines. They’re fun to have around. I’m working but also just thinking about doing this instead. Work gets boring and this wouldn’t. I love animals and they tend to love me back. I have a giant yard. They can’t be off leash but we can have fun running in the grass. About: I’ve been dog and cat sitting (all different breeds) for friends and family over the past couple years, either in their home or my own. I am a figure skating and hockey coach. This requires me to be at the rink for 3-4 hours a day, generally in the afternoon/early evening. All of the office work that I do for it can be completed from home. I have a cat in my own home. If I’m ever to have dogs there, I put him downstairs with his litter box and food so that we don’t have to worry about the pets not getting along.

About: I’ve lived with cats and dogs ever since I could remember! I’ve been pet sitting for my family and friends since I was around 14-15 years old. Some of the pets I’ve previously pet sit include senior dogs, cats of all ages, rodents, fish, and even reptiles. I am comfortable with all sorts of animals, mammals or not. I always aim to treat every single animal with the upmost respect, and as much love and care as I can possibly give them! Some of my special skill include: - giving oral medication - mixing special meals - basic/light dog training - clipping medium-tempered cats nails - caring for aquariums if necessary - basic care for reptiles and rodents - basic cat and dog grooming (brushing, spot cleaning, etc) . I’m currently working part time, so I have a good amount of time for your animals. I’m available for late night drop ins (9:30pm-11:00pm) if needed/preferred, and depending on my shift schedule I can pop in during the morning or afternoon. My goal is to cause as little stress as possible for your animals while they are in my care. I like to introduce myself and give your pets time to warm up to me and get comfortable during the service. I try to follow their usual routine during feeding, walks, etc.

About: Over the years, I have owned 11 cats and 4 dogs, not to mention hamsters, guinea pigs and birds. I have always loved animals, and have a gentle approach to care as I think often our pets are scared enough when their owners need to be away. I enjoy trying to ease their fears or stressors, and getting their licks and purrs in return. I am recently retired and generally have a flexible schedule, depending on whether I'm traveling or not. Usually I'm able to work with your schedule. I believe in play and exercise as a way to ease the stress of owners being gone. But of course I listen to my clients and maintain whatever routine they think works for their pet. They know best. With my own dog, we walk twice a day and play occasional games in between (but she is an older chihuahua mix and mostly wants to sit by my side and take naps!). I lost my latest cat last year, but my daughter has a two year old kitty who LOVES to jump, run and play and it's so fun to see what he can get into!

About: I have been in the animal field for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I took care of horses and volunteered at the Erie County Fair in the horse barn there. After high school in 2016, I became a dog Groomer and worked at Best In Show Dog Grooming as one of the top pet stylists. When Covid hit I decided I wanted to go back to school so I dropped down to part time and am currently in my third year at Medaille College to become a Veterinarian Technician. About a year ago I gave up my job as a Dog Groomer to work in a Veterinarian hospital and now I am currently a Veterinarian Assistant. I have a dog of my own her name is Ruby and she is an 80lb Saint Bernard, Akita mix. I also have three cats name Gypsy, Pippin, and Shaggy. There is no pet too big or strong, I am use to the big guys. I am currently working part-time at the Veterinarian Hospital and I am on break from school until August 30th. Even when I go back to school I will be able to check on your fur babies. My dog is super friendly and will keep your pet occupied if you're okay with it. I will definitely ask permission before introducing. I will also take your fur baby for a walk, feed them, give them love for you when you're away, and make sure they have everything they need.

About: I have been fortunate enough to have had animals most of my life. These have ranged from dogs, rabbits, chickens, horses, cows, and fish. I have volunteered time at a wildlife rehab and also worked a few years at a dog daycare facility that would average about 50 dogs a day. I have a bachelors degree in Animal behavior, ecology and conservation. I have always had a special place in my heart for animals. I currently have 2 rabbits and a dog. I am a substitute teacher so my schedule is rather flexible. It allows me to arrange my week how I need it. My afternoons are usually pretty open. I will ensure that each pet is safe, secure and well taken care of in the comfort of their own home while providing updates to their families.
