Stasi was amazing with our puppies, she spent extra time each day to make sure they were loved and had a friend to play with. Communication was on point we always knew each day we were gone what the puppies were up too, my family and I will definitely be requesting her again!

This was our first time working with Ashley and it was easy and stress free! She came for a meet and greet and a followup before our first visit which was helpful for me to show everything. I received a ton of pictures and I could tell our large, rambunctious pups were happy!! We will definitely work with Ashley again!

So happy to have found Leanne! We needed a last minute booking for several visits a day for a few days. She was so reliable and took great care of Emma. She even saved a few of our large plants on deck because of high wind. We will surely booking with Leanne again!

About: Hi! I’m April, and caring for animals has always been part of who I am 🤍 I live a calm, home-centered lifestyle and truly love spending time with animals of all kinds. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or even backyard animals, I treat every pet like they’re my own — with patience, gentleness, and lots of attention. I understand how important it is to feel at peace when someone else is caring for your pet. You can expect regular updates, photos, and clear communication so you always know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. I’m reliable, attentive, and very in tune with animals’ needs and personalities. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or shy and needs a slower approach, I meet them where they are. Services I offer: • Dog walking • Drop-in visits • House sitting I’m happy to follow any specific routines, feeding schedules, or special instructions to keep your pet comfortable and stress-free. My goal is simple — to give your pet a peaceful, loving experience while you’re away 🤍 I’d love to meet you and your furry family! I'm currently working part time so I have plenty of time to play and walk your pups. I'm great with animals and trustworthy. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space. I can also walk your dog in or around my yard. I will keep your pet safe at all times.

About: I’ve owned and cared for dogs for over 20 years and have spent approximately 10 years caring for other people’s pets. I’m currently completing training to become a professional dog trainer, and I enjoy helping dogs build confidence, improve their manners, and have a great time. I’m comfortable with dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities, including senior dogs. I understand that every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and individual needs. Whether your dog needs a relaxing walk, some exercise and play, or basic training reinforcement during their visit, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I’d want for my own dogs. I’m a lifelong dog owner and dog enthusiast who genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs. I have a flexible schedule and am able to dedicate time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive to body language and behavior. My goal isn’t just to get through a walk or visit, I want your dog to come home happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m also currently training to become a professional dog trainer, so I’m happy to reinforce basic manners and obedience during walks and visits when requested. When I arrive, I give pets a moment to settle in and become comfortable before greeting them. Once they are calm, I greet them and prepare them for their walk. Before meals, I encourage good manners by asking for a sit and stay when appropriate, or simply waiting for them to settle before placing their food down. I follow each pet’s individual routine and instructions to help them feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for.

About: I grew up with dogs from the age of 10. I am often called the pet whisperer by family and friends because their pets often do things they don't normally do with people they don't know well. I have a very flexible schedule and will be able to accommodate the needs of the pets to walk and feed take care of them from daily to weekly where needed. At this time I do not have any yard space or ability to have pets stay with me at my house. I am willing to stay at the pet owners home if needed or stop by for their care needs.

Kayla was such a great cat sitter! I was gone for two weeks and she checked in on my Louie every other day (and even watered my plants!). My cat is shy when I’m not around and Kayla was so kind with my Louie and gave her treats and played with her (even though my cat was being very antisocial). She sent me pictures and updates with every drop-in visit. I definitely recommend Kayla as a cat sitter and I will definitely book her again if needed in the future. Thanks so much Kayla!

About: Hi! My name is Mia. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my dogs; being able to love and take care of my three munchkins is one of my favorite parts of being alive. That being said, half of my heart will always be with animals. I grew up in an incredibly dog-loving family. We unfortunately never had any cats, but I have assuredly tried to change that; unsuccessfully :( From a very young age, I was constantly put in charge of keeping an eye on my dogs while my family was out or had company over. I realized I didn’t mind at all! I currently have three pups! My senior Lab mix, Oreo; a Cavapoo, named Charlie; and a Cockapoo, named Benny. I won't be shy to repeat how much love and joy these dogs give me every day. Since being the token dog-babysitter all my life, my family encouraged me to find a job at my local doggy daycare. I had always admired how much thought and detail they put into their business, and was excited for the opportunity to be surrounded by animals all day, MY DREAM! I ended up being very disappointed, however. It turns out my version of pet care didn’t exactly align with theirs. Since there are SO many animals in that facility, they did everything in a very one-size-fits-all manner. 4 walks a day, feeding, group playtime, next dog. In theory, that was an honorable system with that many dogs in one building. However, I had always wanted to go dog by dog, get to know them, sit in their kennel with them, and take my time. I wasn’t always able to do that due to the system already put in place. I realized each and every animal are so incredibly different and fluid in their own way. They require different things, have different habits, like things a certain way, and have different backgrounds and preferred environments. For example: my dog, Benny, was rescued from a foster family that takes in animals that are up for euthanization. We aren’t fully sure of what Benny’s life was like before that, but we know he was tossed around to households that didn’t treat him the best. This makes him the extremely reactive dog he is today. It is very frustrating to have a pet who attempts to bite every single stranger that he doesn’t know very well, but that makes it all the more worth it. To know that we are able to be that safe, loving family for him; To know that we are working on his anxiety towards new people in the most gentle way possible, like so many other families have failed to do. All of this to say I like to take my time with all puppies and have lots of experience with reactive/senior pets! I prefer to get to know them, adhere to their routine, likes and dislikes, and make sure my care is at the utmost quality as they’d like it. I have fortunately reclaimed my token-dog-babysitter title and have been able to take care of many of my friends’ and family's pets for weeks/days at a time, and would love to do the same with yours! Also PS: I do not require any pet sitters myself, so the “My Pets” tab is empty. All of my babies are in my “Photos” tab. I am currently a college student, so my schedule is pretty much limited to Friday-Sunday for long term care. Along with another part-time job. However, my schedule varies week to week, so if there is any point where you would need care during weekdays, I am completely open to coming up with a solid plan and schedule. I much prefer to go to the clients home, since my three pups don't exactly love the extra company. However, I am very meticulous with the way I treat other peoples spaces and animals, as I have mentioned before. I would not like anyone coming into my home, and not honoring it the way I see fit. I also have a very OCD system, where I ensure everything is clean and where it should be before I leave. Again, this is your home and your system, there is no reason it should be disrupted. All that being said, your pet is my #1 priority. After reading my "get to know me," I am sure you are very familiar with my method and how much time I like to take with animals. I also realize it would be really hard to explain my own dogs specific routine to anyone else, but I WANT YOU TO BE AS SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE! If they will only take medication every night with a certain flavor of pill pocket, or only can be hand-fed their breakfast/dinner; I want to know it all!

About: I've been with a dog most of my life, with my fiance, we have fostered two dogs and have also owned two, currently one. I believe animals are family too and should be treated as such. I think they are your best friend and I test every relationship with a dog very carefully and playfully. Well I work as a cyber analyst at a bank , I would love to be able to help with your pet needs during the hours of 530pm -10pm if need be. Always available to help out and answer. I usually will wake up early to let my dog outside to use the bathroom. I also like to walk around with them and play , if I'm energetic at 6am. I love walking dogs as I'm also a big fitness person so activity is my thing. I also am very punctual on when I feed my dog and what I feed him. We always give treats here and there but never too much to spoil his day and to create negative habits

About: I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, from young puppies to senior dogs. I’m patient, attentive, and responsible, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. Whether it’s an energetic puppy who needs plenty of exercise, a senior dog who needs a slower paced walk, or a nervous dog who needs extra patience and reassurance, I’m committed to providing safe, loving, and dependable care. Olivia was outstanding! She communicated well before, during, and after visits. We are camping in NJ out of state, and needed a caregiver to look after our puppy for a day trip to NY. She gave us comfort knowing our puppy was well loved and taken care of while we were away. She sent updates and photos and made this process worry free. Would recommend her pet sitting services. Thanks Olivia!

  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
