About: I’ve had experience with many animals of different species for many years and can take care of all needs. I was a dog trainer and certified in dog and small animal wellness. I am currently a pet care specialist and do all that I can for all and their pets. I also have a degree in environmental science and pet wellness. I also like to applaud myself for customer service skills and being personable with everyone I meet. I will talk to you like I’ve known you forever and I strive to be someone those can be comfortable around. 😊 As a pet care specialist and pet owner myself, my schedule ranges from 8-9 am for spot cleaning and feeding, then around 12 I do pet checks, and around 5-6 is when I do final checks. For dogs, it follows the same structure with added enrichment and outside time in between. I have one dog and one puppy who spend time mostly outside and come in for breaks and food/snacks. I have a cat who eats twice a day and will occasionally be put in his stroller to go outside and enjoy the fresh air lol. And I have 2 guinea pigs who eat twice a day and will come out of their cage for enrichment and play time.
“We were so happy to find Keliann! She did a wonderful job looking after our fur-babies! It is easy to see she has a genuine love of animals and we will be using her agin in the future!”
About: I’m in my mid 30s and been responsible for at least one pet since I was about 8. I love all animals and have personally had cats, dogs and fish. I graduated from A&M Galveston with a degree in Marine Biology and am currently working with marine mammals. I have experience in dog and cat training, this includes harness/leash and behavioral. Because of my degree I have a background in animal behavior which I use to help talk to and understand animals. I have worked with pets, dolphins and wolves in the past. I absolutely love animals and find it the most rewarding teaching and interacting with them. Please let me help you love your pet. I currently don’t have any set in stone commitments but I have the occasional volunteer project but can work around any Rover commitment. Let me know what you need and we can figure something out! I have a truck so it’s easy to go somewhere safe for your pet if your neighborhood doesn’t have a good play spot. If I am staying at a clients place can take the dog to a dog park if there isn't one nearby.
“Jordan took good care of Chance he kept my bay for 4 days while I went out of town to take care of some important business…. He left my home just the way it was when I left . Nice guy thank you Jordan”

About: From a young age I loved being around animals, I started out helping my mom since she is a wildlife rehabilitation rescuer. I worked as a Veterinary Technician with small and large animal, and have been working as a receptionist in Veterinary Clinics for 7 years now. Animals bring a happiness to me that is indescribable and if you hire me as your pet sitter I promise that your fur babies will become a part of my family! I will treat them as my own, if you’d like to book please let me know. I like to do meet and greets before I do the job to meet your fur babies, you, and make sure that I have an understanding of the routine to best take care of them while your away! I am currently not working so I am doing pet sitting full time, I can pretty much do any date or time. Just let me know what works best for you. For pet sitting, I would do so in the comfort of your own home and where your pet feels the safest. I do not have a fenced in yard, so to make sure that the pet care is safe I feel it is best to provide it in your home.
“Holly was an amazing sitter! We were initially a little nervous because our dogs have very distinct personalities and needs—especially our two senior pups—but Holly made us feel completely at ease from the start. She sent consistent updates with a full set of pictures at every visit that we grew to look forward to while we were away, which reassured us that everyone was doing great. The dogs were clearly getting plenty of time to eat, play, and just be themselves, and they warmed up to her right away—which doesn’t always happen! Holly was friendly, easy to work with, and followed all of our care instructions to a T. She also left the house exactly how we left it, which we really appreciated. We’ll absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, and compassionate sitter!”

About: I've had pets my whole life - I especially love cats and dogs. When I graduated high school I began to pet sit in homes. I love being able to give peace to owners and pet parents while they're away. I enjoy playing with and snuggling with fur babies! You can expect at least one picture a day of your fur baby, quick communication, and rules to be followed to the T. I am currently in-between jobs, which means I am free most days! Unless otherwise discussed, I don't pet sit on Sundays (but I am open to the possibility - some Sundays I volunteer at my church so I am not available for long periods of time then). Due to having my own dog at home, I generally make it a rule to either come to your house for check-ins or to stay at your house so I may better service you and your fur babies without incident. I like to know as many details about your pets as possible. Before agreeing to a job, I like to come and meet the fur babies to make sure we are a good fit together. I can walk or let your animals out to exercise and use the potty, feed and water them, clean up messes and litter boxes, play and snuggle with them, and more. I won't, however, bathe or give medication in most cases - pills put or crushed into food are okay, but injections and such are not.
About: I’ve fostered for the SPCA. I’ve sat for countless friends, family and colleagues. I have an undeniable connection with nearly all animals that I encounter. I’m currently a stay at home mom for my 11 year old son. Also, having 2 adult daughters, 1 of which is currently in college and the other just got married last year and is starting a family of her own. I have a VERY large fully fenced in backyard that is ideal for dogs of all ages and breeds. I allow them full access to roam freely inside or outside by use of the doggie door. If I have dogs from different families I have 3 separate fully furnished and doggie friendly “guest rooms” that allow for space and privacy if needed.
About: I've taken care of animals for the past 12 years for clients and friends of mine. Their animals always took to me really well with me being around them so often and showing them love, so they began asking me if I could pet sit for them. I also have a 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits and chickens. I am a stay at home mom that homeschools so my schedule is very flexible. Let me know your preferences and we can work something out. I can administer medication if needed also. I have experience giving insulin shots. I show them love and affection, let them out to go potty and play with them before I put them back up. I follow detailed instructions
About: I’ve take care of animals cats, dogs, bunnies, lizards etc since I was about 8. I loved babysitting for my neighbors and taking care of my animals. I’m currently working part time! I am available many different hours of the day, very excited to spend some down time with many pups and cats!! I love to treat my cat with some treats. I have one animal caging isn’t needed for him, he’s not aggressive very sweet and loving. I’m currently working part time, and is available mostly any day of time. I’ve very excited to need all the animals pups cats etc, so that I can share my love! I have one friendly cat I do not have fenced gates. However, the anima will be safe with me. About: I have taken care of dogs my entire life as I’ve always owned them. They truly are my best friend. I love them and they deserve the best care! I’m currently doing mostly just side gigs which gives me a lot of availability to be free through the week! I plan to do it as much as possible! They are treated just as humans are! Growing up they went on all of our trips with us and were always treated very well! It’s a blast having them!
About: *After your first successful booking with me, I lock in your rates for all future bookings so your rate stays low as my loyal customer, even if I raise my rates later. Regularly care for my own dog (beautiful lab/pit mix) and have had dogs (& other pets) all of my life. I love the bond shared between me and my pets and that experience that I get to pass along to my children, who are helping care for our senior dog. Our pets have always been part of our family, and I will treat your pet & home with the same attention and care that I have always shown to my own. The world needs more love and respect -- certainly among us as humans -- and I believe our pets can teach us that lesson every day if we're willing to see it.
About: I have always loved pets. I have often pet sat for my friends or family. I owned my first dog at 13. I trained her myself as well as groom her myself. I would consider her my baby. Training my own dog has given me a better understanding of them and a greater respect for them. I recently adopted a new big puppy which has better equipped me for caring for dog's with various personalities since she required much different training than my older little dog. I enjoy getting to know pets with different personalities and loving on them. If you trust me with your pet, I will treat him/her as my own. Pet sitting works great with my schedule because I am a full time teacher so I have all summer to love on your pet while you are away. I am fully able to stay at your house if need be to pet sit. My roommate takes care of my two fur babies while I am away. Also, I am able to bring your pet to my apartment with my two dogs who love other animals. My apartment is next to a big park and has a huge dog park for exercise. I am flexible with the needs of my clients.

“We are grateful for Kimberly’s patience and care she had for Daphne. Daphne is a sweet girl with arthritis and some dementia. Kimberly was the perfect caregiver for her. We knew Daphne was in good hands. Thank you, Kimberly”

About: I've had dogs since I was 8 years old. I've always had a big heart, so I took the role of main caregiver for my pups and my kitty; I walked, fed, and cleaned them which continued into my adulthood as I've been a committed carer for friends' dogs. For a short time (4 months), I moved to Mexico and was a live-in dog carer for two puppies: a Yorkie and Bichon Frise! I also became dual carer for my partner's three dogs of varying ages and we rescued and raised a beautify cat together. I also know what it means to lose your beloved pal as I've had experience with caring for aging doggies and sitting with them as they passed over the doggy rainbow. I currently work full-time with special needs kids from 8-5 daily. I'm available for drop-ins after work, overnight stays and I have full weekend availability! I am available for walks and stays at your home. My care for your home will reflect the deep care I have for your pet. I would love know what you freel comfortable with in your home and integrate your needs as I make sure your pet(s) are well cared for!

“Jasmin has watched our dogs before and she always does such a great job. One of our dogs is on a raw diet with probiotics galore and she does great with all the instructions. Such a lifesaver to have her stay in our house as our senior dog has never stayed anywhere else. We are blessed to have found her as our go-to gal! She gets our mail and keeps our plants alive which is just an added bonus! Thank you!”

Isabella was absolutely phenomenal. She created such a great bond with our pups especially our pitbull mix. She updated us almost daily and would send pictures and videos. She even asked if there were any additional things she could do for our home while we were away! I would recommend her to anyone and will continue to use her in the future.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Columbia walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Columbia maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Columbia choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Columbia. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
