“Briana was great with our super shy senior dog. Ellie warmed up to her in about a day. Briana was great about sending pictures and communicating with us. She was also a great help when our travel plans changed.”

About: I've taken care of animals for the past 12 years for clients and friends of mine. Their animals always took to me really well with me being around them so often and showing them love, so they began asking me if I could pet sit for them. I also have a 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits and chickens. I am a stay at home mom that homeschools so my schedule is very flexible. Let me know your preferences and we can work something out. I can administer medication if needed also. I have experience giving insulin shots. I show them love and affection, let them out to go potty and play with them before I put them back up. I follow detailed instructions
“Hunter is a great sitter for Ollie. He took good care of Ollie while I was out of town. He took Ollie to the vet when Ollie had an upset stomach. He also made sure the house was clean on the last day of house sitting.”

“Sarah took great care of our cats while we were on vacation for almost 2 weeks. She stayed at our house and was very responsible and left everything in great condition. She texted us updates while we were gone which made us feel good and reassured! The cats seemed calm and well adjusted once Sarah left. Thank you Sarah for taking such good care or our boys!”

About: I’ve had experience with many animals of different species for many years and can take care of all needs. I was a dog trainer and certified in dog and small animal wellness. I am currently a pet care specialist and do all that I can for all and their pets. I also have a degree in environmental science and pet wellness. I also like to applaud myself for customer service skills and being personable with everyone I meet. I will talk to you like I’ve known you forever and I strive to be someone those can be comfortable around. 😊 As a pet care specialist and pet owner myself, my schedule ranges from 8-9 am for spot cleaning and feeding, then around 12 I do pet checks, and around 5-6 is when I do final checks. For dogs, it follows the same structure with added enrichment and outside time in between. I have one dog and one puppy who spend time mostly outside and come in for breaks and food/snacks. I have a cat who eats twice a day and will occasionally be put in his stroller to go outside and enjoy the fresh air lol. And I have 2 guinea pigs who eat twice a day and will come out of their cage for enrichment and play time.
About: *After your first successful booking with me, I lock in your rates for all future bookings so your rate stays low as my loyal customer, even if I raise my rates later. Regularly care for my own dog (beautiful lab/pit mix) and have had dogs (& other pets) all of my life. I love the bond shared between me and my pets and that experience that I get to pass along to my children, who are helping care for our senior dog. Our pets have always been part of our family, and I will treat your pet & home with the same attention and care that I have always shown to my own. The world needs more love and respect -- certainly among us as humans -- and I believe our pets can teach us that lesson every day if we're willing to see it.
“Journey did an incredible job house sitting for us, sending us tons of updates and pictures. She is diligent and took great care of our dog and our cat. Will definitely be reaching out to her again!”

About: I’ve fostered for the SPCA. I’ve sat for countless friends, family and colleagues. I have an undeniable connection with nearly all animals that I encounter. I’m currently a stay at home mom for my 11 year old son. Also, having 2 adult daughters, 1 of which is currently in college and the other just got married last year and is starting a family of her own. I have a VERY large fully fenced in backyard that is ideal for dogs of all ages and breeds. I allow them full access to roam freely inside or outside by use of the doggie door. If I have dogs from different families I have 3 separate fully furnished and doggie friendly “guest rooms” that allow for space and privacy if needed.

About: I come from a mother who absolutely loves dogs and a father who has been forced to deal with that 😂. I've been around dogs and cats my entire life and helped my mom with fostering pets of all ages, sizes and physical conditions, from a Great Pyrenees to a small pack of Chihuahas. Though I only started sitting locally just over a year ago, I'm very familiar with meeting new dogs and caring for their individual needs. I'm out of school right now so I will have plenty time to come check on and stay with your pets. After I'm done caring for my own, of course. I am available to do a meet & greet to learn just how to take care of your pets, and I can also send a daily update picture just so you know that your animal companion is getting they care they deserve.
About: I’m in my mid 30s and been responsible for at least one pet since I was about 8. I love all animals and have personally had cats, dogs and fish. I graduated from A&M Galveston with a degree in Marine Biology and am currently working with marine mammals. I have experience in dog and cat training, this includes harness/leash and behavioral. Because of my degree I have a background in animal behavior which I use to help talk to and understand animals. I have worked with pets, dolphins and wolves in the past. I absolutely love animals and find it the most rewarding teaching and interacting with them. Please let me help you love your pet. I currently don’t have any set in stone commitments but I have the occasional volunteer project but can work around any Rover commitment. Let me know what you need and we can figure something out! I have a truck so it’s easy to go somewhere safe for your pet if your neighborhood doesn’t have a good play spot. If I am staying at a clients place can take the dog to a dog park if there isn't one nearby.
“Olivia took great care of our dogs. She was prompt with her arrival and she sent pictures during the time she as watching the dogs. I would highly recommend her and will try to book her again when I am traveling.”

I am experienced in caring for puppies and senior pets. You're welcome to reach out anytime. I'm fully focused on this job, so I'll have plenty of time to care for your pets! I adjust my care to suit your pet. I provide complete care including feeding, walking, playing, and giving medication. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Holiday Lakes walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Holiday Lakes maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Holiday Lakes choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Holiday Lakes. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
