She allowed me to do a meet and greet ahead of time, since she has two fur babies and my senior Chihuahua is used to it being just us. From that meeting, I felt confident in leaving my baby with her, but when the time came, it was still difficult for me to leave him. She reassured me immediately by picking him up and snuggling him. She sent numerous photos and updates over the stay, letting me know how he was doing. She was very understanding of his nervousness in being in an unknown place without me and his need for space sometimes. She allowed him to sleep in her bed like he does with me and give her lots of licks. She came by in advance to get to know my dog and how the house worked. She asked all the right detailed questions. Things I hadn’t thought of! And then at time of transition, she ran through and tested that everything worked as she thought. Pat kept me informed both days. Made me aware of anything of concern. Inn this case GI distress on one of his walks which is not uncommon for Marvel on first day of someone new. But I sure was pleased she let me know and she let me know that it cleared by a later walk. Pat seemed unflappable, capable and careful. My dog liked her a lot as some of the pictures we of my dog having a great time. Plus he was great when I returned as was the house and plants.
