About: hiii! I was an animal shelter volunteer for a little over 7 years! I am very comfortable around all types of animals, poop etc. doesn’t bother me either! I think a person watching your animals shouldn’t just “watch” them but spend quality time with them! It can be scary for animals being left with an unfamiliar face so making the experience as enjoyable as possible ensures that they will be more comfortable next time! i also already go to the dog park every other day and sometimes every day! we absolutely love going (me and my dog sookie)!! I am a college student but thankfully all my classes are online! I don’t typically prefer weekends but if needed then I will be there! I am free 90% of the time! For the cats I have plenty of scratch posts and things they can play with. I also have cats of my own they love making friends! For dogs, I have a crate and large backyard with a lead post! they are allowed on couches and the bed if they want to go that route! Animals will show clear signs of discomfort and my responsibility is to listen and adhere to that

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats most of my life. I love to play with them and make them feel happy, and obviously I love a good cuddle! Trying to earn some money before and while in college, I have a part time job so most of my day is free and my classes will end early so I have time off! I have a fenced in yard so I care about my pets safety. And my cats are all loved while having their own litter boxes and beds.

About: I own a small farm. I have a lot of experience with animals of all types, big and small. I have had the privilege of being a fur mom to dogs and cats, as well as other small and large animals since I was a kid. I love on and treat all animals with kindness and plenty of love and respect. I can give medications, if needed and have plenty of time on my hands now that school is back in for my kids. I was a substitute teacher this past year. I will follow your directions for your pet 100%. You and your pet will be very satisfied with my services. I have plenty of free time to care for your pets! I am a stay at home mom and will spoil your fur babies as I do my own! I have references I can provide from vets, personal references and can pass any background or drug check. I have my own reliable vehicle and there is no dog, cat etc that I am unwilling to care for. I am very aware of my surroundings and will never put your pet in danger. I follow instructions 100%. I care for them all like they are mine.

About: PLEASE NOTE As of October 13, 2026, I will be on maternity leave and will not be accepting any new clients during this time. I plan to return after my maternity leave and look forward to seeing both my wonderful returning clients and welcoming new clients when I’m back! Thank you so much for your understanding and support during this exciting time! 🤍 …… With over 16 years of experience in animal care, I bring a strong background in both small and large animals, including horses, livestock, and dogs. I’ve worked in veterinary clinics and dog boarding facilities, which gave me hands-on experience with animals of all temperaments and needs. While I value the structure of those settings, I believe in-home care is the most comfortable and stress-free option for most pets. I currently care for two dogs and two horses of my own, and I approach every client’s animal with the same level of respect, patience, and attentiveness I give my own. House Sitting Availability: I’m available for overnight care only, providing feeding, walks, and supervision during the night hours. Drop-In Visits Availability: I can provide up to two drop-in visits per day, including feeding, potty breaks, and basic care. In home boarding : I live in an apartment with a fenced deck, have two friendly dogs, and kids aged 3 and 8. I provide plenty of walks, playtime, and attention. I never board more than one family at a time, so your pup gets all the care and attention they need while you’re away. I prioritize safety and trust above all else when caring for pets in your home. Creating a calm, secure environment is essential to help your pets feel comfortable and relaxed while you’re away. I treat your home and pets with the same respect and care I would expect for my own!

About: Hi! My name is Adrian, and I've been around dogs and cats for most of my life. I grew up helping care for large dogs and have always been the person my family relies on to feed, play with, and look after our pets. I especially love large breeds and enjoy spending time outdoors, playing, and making sure dogs get the attention and exercise they need. Every pet has their own personality, and I take the time to earn their trust so they feel comfortable and safe while you're away. I'll treat your pets with the same care and respect I'd want someone to show mine. I'm currently very flexible and have plenty of availability throughout the week for house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. Because my schedule is open, I can dedicate plenty of attention to your pets instead of rushing between commitments. I communicate regularly, send photo updates, and always make sure owners know their pets are happy and well cared for. For everyone's safety and comfort, I currently only offer care in my client's home. My family dog is not comfortable around unfamiliar animals, so I don't provide boarding in my own home. When caring for pets in your home, I carefully follow your routines, make sure fresh water is always available, maintain feeding and bathroom schedules, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and send regular photo updates so you can relax while you're away. I also treat every home with the same respect and care that I would expect for my own. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and a clean home

About: Hey there! I’m Emily — I offer reliable, loving care for both dogs and cats, and I come straight to you. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, playtime, feedings, litter box scooping, or even baths, I’ve got it covered. I don’t do boarding or keep pets at my place, but I’m happy to help however I can in your home. I’ve got years of hands-on experience and also run a rescue, so I’m used to handling all kinds of animals, personalities, and needs. I treat every pet like family and always aim to make things easy, safe, and stress-free — for you and your animals. Let me know what you need! Pet care is nonstop for me — it’s what I do every single day. My routine revolves around walks, drop-ins, baths, enrichment time, and everything in between. I’m used to being on the move and keeping up with each pet’s schedule. This isn’t just a side gig — it’s a big part of my life, and I’m fully committed to giving every pet the time and attention they deserve. I provide care in my clients’ homes where pets are most comfortable and relaxed. I stick to their usual routine as much as possible — whether that means feeding, walks, playtime, or giving medication. I’m big on building trust with each animal and making sure they feel safe while their person is away. I always leave things clean, double-check food and water, and send updates so you know your pet is in good hands.

I am comfortable giving medications, taking care of young and senior pets, and any special requests you have. I love all animals, big or small, and would love to take care of your baby I am available for drop in visits, walks, and pet sitting. My overall goal is to make sure they are as comfortable as possible and having a good time! I have friendly dogs of my own who love to play with other pets! They have a blast having friends over and a lot of times they help to make a new pet more comfortable in the new environment. They love to get up and play but are also completely happy if your pet prefers to chill! I know some pets aren’t always comfortable with new dogs right away, so I do have plenty of space to separate them and rotate them out! I can crate my dogs at any time - my number 1 goal is to make sure everybody is comfortable and happy! I would be more than happy to meet with you and your pet beforehand to talk everything over. I want you both to be as comfortable as possible!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Wessington. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Wessington after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
