“Highly recommend. Our boy was well taken care of with daily updates and pictures. He loved playing with her dogs and actually came home pretty tired from all the activity. Will definitely be using Melissa again.”
“Gary is awesome and his house is set up perfectly for dog boarding. My little Stevie is blind and he made him feel safe and comfortable. I would definitely use Gary again!”

“Success for a second few night stay for our Cavapoo! Andrew & Karen seem to care & train in the process for whatever behavior is needed. Appreciate their efforts and comfort/routine given to him. Also nice to get a couple of messages a day w/pix! Thanks much to both of you!! Made us relax even more knowing he was in good hands with you!”

“A+ rating! Jess provided a safe and nurturing environment for my six-year old chocolate lab. I want to use her dog-sitting service again. She lives close to me and her yard was filled with smells from other pets and “sniffing” is my dog’s favorite activity!!”

“Beatriz and Hayden were fantastic with our dog! They treated him like he was their own and we got wonderful updates, photos, and videos throughout our trip. They shared lots of food with him (which our dog loved!) and made sure he had a very cozy bed with all of his favorite things from home. They left us totally at ease that he was in good hands and having a great vacation of his own! We will always try to use them any time we travel.”

“Alysia is, without a doubt, the most spectacular human being I have ever encountered—and I’m not just saying that because she’s my best friend and knows all my secrets. She routinely defies the laws of time and space to go above and beyond for people, casually pulling off miracles even when her own schedule is a chaotic mess. Most importantly, she loves my fur babies like they are her own biological offspring, which means she is officially the favorite aunt. Whenever life decides to throw a curveball, Alysia is already there, cape on, stepping in to make sure absolutely everything is under control. 11/10 stars, highly recommend this human.”

“Brittany was great and would definitely book with her again! I have a high maintenance GSD and had no concerns leaving him with her for a few days. He came home happy as a clam.”

“Lucas did a great job watching our two dogs while we were away. Communication was easy and everything went smoothly. We’d definitely trust him to watch them again and would recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable sitter”

“Renae took such good care of Nash while I was on vacation! She updated me every day and treated him as one of her own. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and I will definitely be booking with her in the future!”

About: I have owned my own dog for the past 15 years. Experienced with difficult eaters, medication needs, walking, playing etc. Experienced with dogs who don’t like other dogs. Currently at home most of the day most days. Will spend a lot of quality time with your pet. I’ll cater to how your pet wants to spend their time: cuddling, playing, walks, napping. I’ll provide whatever level of care and safety your pet is used to in your home and neighborhood. My goal is to make their time away from you as much like if you were there.
“We are so fortunate to have found Ashley! She is wonderful with our girl, Ebby. It’s such a relief to be able to be away for the weekend and know she’s in good hands.”

“You will NOT regret booking with Ellyn! Ellyn watched our pup for 2 weeks while we were away on vacay and I was so nervous because I have never taken my pup to a sitter before, much less for so long. She supplied me with so many updates and photos, her communication was absolutely stellar which allowed me to fully enjoy my trip. Lilo absolutely loved her stay and can’t wait for the next.”

“I’m so glad to have found Courtney. She has been absolutely wonderful with my 2 dogs and they are always happy to see her. She takes such good care of them and keeps me posted with pictures and information on what they are up to. I’m very happy and know they are in good hands with Courtney. I can go away and not worry cause I know she is there with them. Thank you Courtney!”

About: I've been caring for dogs for over 10 years, from walking and feeding to overnight stays. I often pet-sit for friends when they travel, and I've also rescued and nursed several stray dogs back to health. Every dog I care for is treated with the same love and attention as my own. I work from home full-time, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet care. I'm able to walk, feed, and spend time with dogs throughout the day, not just during set hours. Weekends and evenings are open for boarding as well. I provide a calm, clean, and secure indoor environment for boarding dogs. Each dog gets a comfortable resting area, and I take them out for regular walks and bathroom breaks. Safety is always my top priority. I never leave dogs unsupervised in unfamiliar or hazardous situations.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Wendel
This was the first time our dog Ollie stayed away from us. We had to fly to the West Coast for our daughter‘s wedding and had a very busy schedule leading up to the wedding itself. From the get-go, Melissa was very accommodating, loving, and patient with Ollie. She sent many pictures and videos which was greatly appreciated and communicated frequently with us. Our Dog ended up with stress colitis and she took such good care of him. It caused a lot more work for her, but she continued to care for Ollie as if he were her own. Melissa is very passionate about caring for animals and it shows through the love that she gives. She went above and beyond to make sure Ollie was comfortable and he truly enjoyed his stay with her. I have no hesitations recommending her and look forward to booking again. Thank you, Melissa, you’re the best.

Crystal is an absolute joy to work with! She has such a warm, positive energy, and her communication throughout the entire stay was fantastic. Most importantly, our dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. We’re so glad we found Crystal and will absolutely be boarding with her again. Highly recommend her to anyone!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
93% of sitters in Wendel can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Wendel home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Wendel.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
