“Michelle did a great job watching my dog, Pepper. She lives in a quiet neighborhood and has a large yard for dogs to run around in. I had peace of mind having her pet-sit Pepper for the weekend.”
“Vivian was such a good sitter! Bell was so nervous the first night so they gave her space and let her settle in at her own speed, which wasnt long because within the first day, they were sending me pics of bell out walking and hanging out with all of the family. I really love that its not only Vivian loving on her, but it was the whole family! It seems bell really took to Vivian's daughter. Which is great! Im so happy to know ive found a sitter who im comfortable leaving her with. She almost acted sad to be home! Ha ha. We teased her about missing her other family. I would 100% use Vivian again. We travel a lot so we probably will end up using her again. No hesitation. They really are such a nice family and truly seem to love the pups as one of their own!”
“Our dog had fun playing with Gary’s two dogs. He sent us a picture of her during her stay, which helped to reassure us that she was in good hands. Thanks Gary for making our first experience using Rover a good one!”
“Tina was Great and Bella Loved staying there !!! .... She kept me up to date on how she was doing when I was away and that made me feel Soo good. I will Definitely use her again.....!!! ❤️👍😁”
“Melissa is an angel! She is incredible with all dogs and so accommodating and kind, even with some very short notice help we needed. Our senior dog loved her and her yard, I cannot recommend her enough, we are so happy we have found her for future sitting.”
“Patrick is wonderful. He has watched my puppy and now my senior boy. My senior boy had a little trouble adjusting and Patrick was so kind and easy to communicate with. He provided much appreciated photos and updates and I never once had to worry about my buddy.”
“Our dog Taylor had another great weekend stay with Andrew and Karen! Andrew sent us lots of updates with photos and videos. Will be using them again soon for our week long vacation.”
“She is absolutely amazing with my babies! She goes out of her way to make them feel loved and welcome. She also does little things that help me from being away from them and my unpacking them at home easier!”
“Such an amazing diamond in the rough sitter if you have a dog that you have a strict routine and schedule with ! My German shepherd puppy needs structure and a quality experience and she got it here. It took me so long to find a sitter who actually understands true dog training and obedience. Who also doesn’t just have a ton of other dogs there. So lucky to have found a dog savvy sitter!”
“Took great care of Khoda; Spent time with him, took him for walks, kept me updated daily with photos of him, he definitely did not want to come back home lol Thank you again for taking care of my dog and ensuring his attention-needs were met. I'll definitely be in contact for future trips/vacations, I know he can't wait to come back and see his human and dog friends again!”
“Amanda and Jack were absolutely amazing! My girl, Onyx, had an issue with her elbow, and they handled the situation with incredible care, compassion, and professionalism. They kept me updated with photos throughout her stay, which gave me tremendous peace of mind, and they even took her on a nature hike so she could enjoy some time outdoors. It's clear they genuinely care about the animals they look after. I highly recommend Amanda's services and wouldn't hesitate to trust them with Onyx again!”
“Alysia is, without a doubt, the most spectacular human being I have ever encountered—and I’m not just saying that because she’s my best friend and knows all my secrets. She routinely defies the laws of time and space to go above and beyond for people, casually pulling off miracles even when her own schedule is a chaotic mess. Most importantly, she loves my fur babies like they are her own biological offspring, which means she is officially the favorite aunt. Whenever life decides to throw a curveball, Alysia is already there, cape on, stepping in to make sure absolutely everything is under control. 11/10 stars, highly recommend this human.”
“Johanna was absolutely excellent with my pup Mia. She kept me updated everyday by sending pictures and videos. Her dog Stella is very sweet and playful. She became to be a friend with my dog instantly. I enjoyed watching their play videos thanks to Johanne. We’ll definitely see Johanne again very soon.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Darragh home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Darragh.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Darragh sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
