About: While I am currently unemployed and staying at my parents home, our family dog (Havanese) of 17 years recently passed away in February 2026. Now that my mother is retiring this summer, we wish to fill the empty home, and our combined newly gained free time, with some furry friends! For in-home boarding we will be a mother-son team with pretty wide open schedules to care for our furry guests, and will provide a great big house and yard in a great pet-friendly neighborhood for them to enjoy! About: I’m Emily! A little about me: I love to run, lift, paint, and read. I am currently a student at the University of Pittsburgh studying Speech Pathology and Audiology who’s home for the summer! About: I have loved animals since I was a small child. I got my first cat over 15 years ago and still love her dearly. My parents wouldn’t allow me to have a dog so I had to wait until I moved out when I was 20. After buying my house I rescued my neighbors dog that was permanently locked up in an outdoor kennel. Unfortunately she already had Lyme disease so it was for less than a year that I was able to give her a good quality of life. I then adopted my ex-coworkers German Shepard who was 5. Unfortunately despite all my efforts to have her live longer than her lifespan I lost her years later due to paralyzing seizures. Not too long after that I sold my house and have not been stable enough to get another dog due to my constant traveling. I love dogs and want to have another but can’t make a life long commitment at this time. However I can make a day/week/month long commitment to take care of your loved dog. It would be a pleasure to take care of your fur baby/babies. I work from home so I’m only gone for a couple/few hours out of the day to go to the gym and maybe grocery shop. I frequently go on walks when the weather permits and would love to bring your dog with me. If you have a dog who pulls as hard as they can I do prefer that you have a gentle leader. I am available all days and times when I am not traveling. I have a large yard at the end of a cul-de-sac in a nice neighborhood. I do have two cats who have lived with dogs before. If watching your loved pet I ask for details on what your expectations are to insure that you are 100 percent satisfied with my care for your fur baby.

“This is the third time I've had Mark watch my two dogs... I gladly place my trust in him knowing that he takes EXTREMELY good care of them and that they are loved and very well looked after. He sends me daily updates while I'm out of town so I can see how relaxed and happy they are! But, this third time I dropped them off, I noticed something different with my dogs' behavior... instead of getting anxiety that I'm about to leave them, I watched from the rearview mirror of my car that they were happily walking away with Mark wagging their tails and not looking back at me at all!
