Lauran was fantastic while I was visiting Louisville for the Kentucky Oaks and Derby weekend. Her communication was top notch, always quick to respond and kept me updated throughout the two days. I especially appreciated her flexibility when I needed to add an extra walk at the last minute, she was incredibly accommodating and handled it without any issues. It’s a huge relief to find someone so reliable and easy to work with when you're visiting another city for an event. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a professional and adaptable walker!

I highly recommend her and have already to all of my friends in the Louisville area. She's very accommodating very prompt and professional. I cannot recommend her enough.

About: I have grown up around animals and have experience with elderly dogs and very anxious cats specifically. My two childhood puppies grew up and I helped assist with their needs, such as medicine and helping them walk around with patience. I also understand what it’s like to have a very anxious cat— mine is too. I have one cat, a fish, and a snail of my own now! I’m currently building my health coaching clientele working from home. I take frequent breaks to walk at the park and often spend the majority of the day working on various tasks at home. I’m very flexible with my schedule right now! Since I have an anxious and non-sociable cat of my own at home I will be more open to visits such as drop-in’s and taking fur babies out on walks at the park right now!

Eleanor did such an amazing job with my husky She was very punctual and handled Freya like a pro! It’s always a frustration of mine anytime I leave town and come back to a Wiley dog who has been allowed to pull on the leash and jump on people. Eleanor is the first dog walker I’ve had that has expertly kept Freya in line and I’m so appreciative! I will definitely be rebooking in the future.thanks so much!

Justin was fantastic! He came to walk my Great Pyrenees, Boo, who can be reactive to other dogs on walks, and I immediately felt confident leaving him in Justin’s care. Before the walk, he took the time to ask questions. Justin was incredibly kind and patient with Boo, and it was obvious that Boo had a great time! He even came early in the morning to help us beat the summer heat, which I really appreciated. After their one hour walk, Boo came home happy, relaxed, and tired! I highly recommend Justin to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and knowledgeable dog walker. We’ll definitely be booking with him again!

About: Growing up, I’ve always been surrounded with pets and been given the opportunity to care for dogs numerous times. I am very patient with animals and genuinely find joy spending my time with them. After recently graduating from college and moving into a studio apartment, it has been an adjustment not being surrounded by pets. Through Rover, I’m excited to not only help others, but also to find fulfillment spending time with pets. Although I work a 9-5, I am willing to make plenty of time before or after work to accommodate your needs. I am a morning person, so I would be more than happy to take your dog on an early morning walk or be there to let them out. I also will be able to take care of them in the afternoon. My weekends are free to help at any time. You can trust me with your pet because I treat animals with the same amount of respect that I’d treat any person. It is my priority to ensure their safety while also having fun. I would love to take them on walks at the park and am open to having them at my apartment if needed.

About: Hi! I’m Earl, and I’ve always genuinely enjoyed being around dogs. Whether it’s going for walks, playing outside, or just hanging out with them, I like getting to know each dog’s personality instead of treating every dog the same. What sets me apart is that I’m attentive and dependable. I don’t just show up to feed your dog and leave—I make sure they’re comfortable, getting plenty of attention, and sticking to their normal routine. If your dog takes daily medication (like pills), I’m comfortable giving those and making sure they stay on schedule. I also have experience caring for a family friend’s dog during multi-day trips, handling everything from feeding and walks to medications and keeping them company. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, if you’d like I can keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax while you’re away. My goal is simple: to make sure your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re gone. i currently work part time at amazon with flexible schedule, i’m able to move my work schedule around whenever so i can be available whenever im needed! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I do my best to stick to their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any daily medications they’re prescribed. I pay close attention to how they’re feeling and make sure they always have fresh water, a clean environment, and plenty of attention. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat both the pet and the home with respect. I’ll follow any instructions you leave, keep doors and gates secure, and can send regular photo and message updates so you know how your pet is doing. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable while giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

About: Hi there! I would love to make new connections for dog walking and pet/house sitting. I have had dogs of all breeds throughout my life! College educated in legal studies and work remotely in office admin. I am looking opportunities in Manhattan and surrounding areas. My clients will know a stable, professional, flexible and friendly caregiver for their animals. I have taken care of friends’ animals over the years with no issue and am very good at following detailed instructions on how to care for animals. I am very safe and take pets' health seriously. I have a trusted vet that can handle any emergencies if I do not have vet contact info for a client's pet. I am very interested in any questions or concerns or special pricing. Thank you! I’m currently working remotely, so I have plenty of time to devote to your pets and stay at your residence full-time (if house-sitting). I have a very flexible schedule and can work with your pet-sitting needs almost anytime I’m needed. At this time, I can only care for your pets at your home if overnight stays are requested. I have my own transportation to come out and take your pets on a walk, to the park or keep them company while you’re away. Any detailed instructions on your environment will be followed diligently.

About: I've had at least 3 dogs within my family at a time, ranging for 50-130 pounds. I have experience with all breeds of dogs from toy poodles to great danes, and I've never met a dog I don't love. I've taken care of dogs who had daily pill regimens, and dogs who love to start their day at 6 am, so I've gained some interesting experience along the way. I'm very patient with puppies because I've trained two puppies already, and I know the type of commitment it takes to maintain training. I always had bigger breeds growing up so I'm always open to dogs other people might be hesitant about, and I know there's no such thing as a bully breed!

  • 100% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
