“Many times, when picking up my dog, I have found him stressed and unhappy. When I picked him up from Abby he was his usual relaxed and happy self. I am grateful for the place, her welcoming dogs, and her kindness in introducing my dog to a new place.”

“Jodie is absolutely amazing! Booked her last minute for two days of daycare for my puppy and she excepted right away. Her updates and communication throughout the day is absolutely awesome. I could not recommend a better person to watch your pet. I will be continuing to use her for all my daycare and boarding needs! If I could give her 10 stars I would!!”

About: I love animals! Currently I have a mixed breed (mostly French Bulldog). Dog(s) are let out on a run or a leash to keep chickens safe. I have 2 adult children so these days animals are my main focus. My life revolves around family.... human and animal family! I am hoping to keep busy caring for animals in my home and / or yours. My dog is friendly and submissive. I do have a small fenced area if the dog run/leash walking are not suitable. My dog doesn't use a crate but I have plenty available all different sizes.
“Heather and her daughter were awesome! My pup was taken care and had a fun day playing with other dogs! She came home and went right to sleep! They are great!”

“Ashley is pleasant and knows what she is doing with these dogs! She has an ideal yard and home and was willing to show me the environment. She sent me pictures throughout the day and made me feel very comfortable. We can’t wait to work with Ashley again!”

“This was my first time ever using rover as a customer and I am VERY impressed!!! We were in the area for a few errends, and didn’t want to leave our pup home for 8hrs😂 I got AMAZING pictures, she’s super sweet, and bonus points for taking my request THE MORNING OF! Simba didn’t even want to leave 😭 he had so much fun and I think will sleep the entire 3hr car ride home!”

About: I've been a pet owner my entire life. I've had dogs of varying breeds and sizes (2 Wheaten Terriers, 2 Vizslas, Dachshund, 3 Yorkies, Hound mix, Wire Fox Terrier) and had cats most of my life too. I currently have one dogs of my own, a Wheaten Terrier named Sundae who loves everyone. I am currently working from home and live right on the rail trail where I can take your precious pup on walks throughout the day. I have ample experience with puppies, special needs dogs (meds dispensing including injections), and nursing and pregnant mommas to be! I have extra crates and plenty of expen fencing I can put up at any time! I am currently working from home so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pets. We sometimes go on trips or hikes, but mostly we stay close to home. If your pets are friendly they will get along well with my girl Sundae. If not, as a former show dog exhibitor, I am well versed in the art of "crate and rotate," or if needed "cozy bedroom and rotate." Safety and cleanliness comes first, always.
About: I have had animals my whole life from babies to senior. Always a cat and dog and lately have expanded to chickens and ducks. Animal care is my top priority and main focus as I do not have children. My animals are my kids and are treated as thus....very spoiled! Pet care is my number one priority. My work schedule is flexible to this and can be adjusted as necessary to support my pets needs. I care for pets based on routine and love. I find it important maintaining this to establish expectation and stability for the animals. Routine would include; feeding and bathroom schedule with exercise and rest in between. Exercise and rest is a bit more fluid depending on weather and pet communication.
About: My family has had pets my entire life, and I've grown up with dogs and cats, so the question of how many years of experience I have is difficult to answer. I have a lot of experience being around animals, but I obviously was not the primary caregiver for our pets during my childhood. I am very fond of animals (of course), and would love to get to know your furry friends and help them get out and about! I'm a student in college at UVM, so I am around to hang out with your pets in between and after my classes! Because of the way they are spaced out, I'm usually free midday or in the afternoon/evening. I put a lot of care into making sure your furry friends are happy and healthy while in my care. I keep a close eye on them, and stick mainly to quieter roads that I'm familiar with on walks.
“Lindsey watched our dog, Jack, for an impromptu visit to the aquarium and lunch. She took WONDERFUL care of him and even though we’d never met her before, we were instantly put at ease by her calm and kind demeanor. Next time we’re in Newport, we’ll definitely reach out to her again. Thank you Lindsey!”

“Susan and John were great! We have a senior dog and a puppy and both felt right at home with them during their daycare visit. Thank you both for being our pup’s home away from home while we were on vacation and couldn’t take them with us on our day trip!”

About: I've been a lifelong dog lover (with the occasional cat in the mix) and actively foster for a rescue. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science so your pets will be more than well taken care of. I work from home, so I have plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or cuddle breaks, I can easily adjust my schedule to meet their needs and keep them happy! I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs who love company! I can easily accommodate crating if needed. I’ll make sure your dogs feel comfortable, safe, and loved.

About: I am a lover of all animals. I have owned and lived with dogs for over 15+ years and cats for 20+ years. I have also worked for a dog rescue in which I resided with at least 20 dogs daily. I understand the love and care that animals need and strive for! I have an 11 year old and 4 year old, in which I have 1 full time and the other split custody, so please be aware that there will always be at least one small child present! I live in an apartment in a house with plenty of room to roam! We are on the second floor, so we do have stairs, just incase your pet has an issue with them. I look forward to meeting your pets and having some fun! Please feel free to ask any questions you may have! I work from home so I only usually have to leave to either pick up the kids or run errands! I am available all day to attend to your loved ones! I will always treat your loved ones as if they were my own! Lots of love and attention! We will play games and run around like goof balls!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
