“I rarely leave reviews because it can be time-consuming, and I do not have a lot of spare time usually. I am making an exception here, though, because this pet sitter was fantastic. Tille came to my rescue when I found myself in urgent need of a pet sitter after a cousin of mine tragically and unexpectedly passed away in his sleep at the age of 45. I have five dogs, and they had all the vaccinations needed for boarding except the K9 Influenza vaccinations, which are a relatively new mandatory requirement. Due to this, they were not eligible to be boarded at any dog boarding facility, and there was not enough time to get them all the vaccinations due to the two-week waiting period in between shots. One of my dogs is very protective and takes his duties very seriously, and had scared away two other sitters I spoke with prior to finding Tille when trying to make arrangements to attend the funeral in Washington DC, some 475 miles away. I was skeptical at first about the qualifications she claimed to have on her Rover profile, but within 5 minutes of meeting her, I knew she was the real deal. Her previous experience in working with dogs has given her the knowledge to work with aggressive and reactive dogs at an expert level. During our first greeting, she had me take my dogs outside to greet her so they would not feel as threatened by a stranger coming onto their territory. She loved them up with treats and affection and quickly won over their trust. I work in IT and have many expensive electronics in my house, way above and beyond what you might find in a typical home, and as such, I was very apprehensive about the idea of letting a stranger come and live in my house for three days while I was not just out of town, but a significant distance away as well. Given the nature of the circumstances, though, and her demonstrated knowledge working with the dogs that I witnessed firsthand, I went ahead and rolled the dice. I got home about an hour ago, and the house was clean, the bed was made up, the trash cans were taken out, and all the lights were off, and all my valuables, some of which were in very plain view, were exactly where I had left them three days prior. I will be using her again in the very near future for drop-in visits when I start a new job that is hybrid in nature, and I will be using her in July when I am going out of town for a wedding. Tille not only did the bare minimum required to care for the dogs, but she went above and beyond, following all of my instructions to a T, and I know this because I have cameras in the backyard and watched her play with them numerous times while I was away. I truly cannot highly enough recommend her or thank her for coming to my aid when I found myself in a real tough spot!”

“Mark was amazing with our two dogs. Our dogs went on several long walks, enjoyed playing in the back yard with their Mark’s dog and loved all the lap time and belly rubs that Mark gave them. Mark was great with sending pictures and videos of our puppies while we were gone, too. We’ll definitely pick Mark again and we’d highly recommend Mark to you.”

He also has his own pets which he takes excellent care of, as well as experience watching my dogs when I am at work. He goes above and beyond to make sure they are fed and walked on time. As well as cleaning up for when I get home. He has made my life tremendously easier coming home not stressed or worried if my dogs are being taken care of.”

“Gwen watched our dog, Jack, for an entire week. She gave him constant attention and activity while keeping us updated with frequent pictures and videos. The weather was horrible, yet she still took him for multiple daily walks. Gwen went above and beyond our expectations and Jack definitely missed her when she was gone! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve cared for pets since I was very young! I currently have 2 cats, and a puppy. I would love to care for either cats or dogs. I’m passionate about caring for animals of all kinds. I currently work in healthcare part time, and would love to spend time with your pets on my days off, wether that be walking them or throwing a ball around! I love walking around the neighborhood, and will make sure your dog gets plenty of exercise. I can also stop by to let them out to play while you’re busy!

About: I have experience with cats of all ages (kittens to 21+), and dogs of all sizes. I’ve worked with service puppies in training, elderly cats with special diets and medication schedules, and raised several kittens. I have experience with dog-anxious dogs, older puppies, and senior dogs. I’m currently a PhD student, and have a fairly open schedule Wednesday-Sunday. Unfortunately, I am unavailable Mondays and Tuesdays. I am available mornings through evenings. I have separation anxiety from my own babies, and I understand that you might as well! I provide in-home services only, so your dogs/cats are comfortably in their own space. I love to send picture updates, check in about any changes, and am used to carefully opening doors due to escape-artist cats. I am also comfortable crating dogs.

I grew up with dogs and cats, and don't consider myself a dog or cat person...I'm a "both" person. :) I was totally the weird kid that was invited to birthday parties and ignored the games and cake to play with the family pet. Not much has changed, to be honest... Since graduating college in 2008, I've cared for my own, my family's, and my friends' pets when duty has called. I adopted my first cat (of my own) in 2006 and he just passed in 2020 due to old age and congestive heart failure. I have experience with puppies, having raised my rescue dog Jenna from a very small 8 weeks old. She lived until 11 and unfortunately developed metastatic cancer. My in-laws own a senior shih tzu that I drop in to visit with/let out/feed when they are out of town. She has vision and hearing loss, and we take things slow. I have actually groomed her as well, working around her various skin and eye issues. My cats have all been rescues! Rue was saved by a good samaritan back in 2020, and was very much a "free kitten" situation. I had just lost my cat and am a sucker...so we got her fixed up and she became part of the family. Most recently, my husband and I adopted Rosie, a 2 year old retired racing greyhound with a ton of energy to spare! She keeps us on our toes (and sometimes steps on them)! It is definitely worth mentioning that I keep reptiles (snakes, geckos) and fish as well, and have experience keeping small mammals (gerbils, hamsters). I am not adverse to frozen rodents or insect feeders, so if you have a scaly member of the family, I'd be more than happy to help out with them! Today, I am on the board of directors for a retired racing greyhound adoption group (going into my 7th year of involvement). I would love to talk to you about retired racers, if you'd like to hear about how awesome they are! Another note: I require an in-person meet and greet with you and your pets prior to booking. I am only able to accept same-day bookings from existing clients. I always ask what treats are okay for new animals I meet. Food is love, in most situations! This is usually a quick and positive way to build trust. Then, I gauge the animals' personality and mood and take things at their pace. If they're having a bad day, I'm not going to force any interactions that might be too much--this always helps the relationship in the long run. If your animal is ready and raring to go, it's playtime, pets time, snuggle time, walkies time...whatever we can do to make the most of our visit!
