“Aish and her family were wonderful. They sent many pictures and videos. My dog, Pepper, seemed to have a good time playing with the other dogs she had there. This was our first time using Rover and we were super nervous about leaving our baby with anyone. I think Pepper misses being over there now playing with the others. Due to the BWCA wildfires we had to end our trip early. Aish made sure to refund the money for the other days right away without me even asking. She responded immediately to all my texts. I would definetly use her to watch my Pepper again.”

“First timer to Rover and it went great. Were able to have a separate meet time to make sure our dog got along with Chelsie’s dogs and that made our stay better. Chelsie sent a few pics each day which we appreciated and I am grateful to have been able to leave our dog Pippa in a home environment! Great experience-”

“Elizabeth and her family were great. She made sure to help Diesel get around the house since he is a senior dog and I received plenty of pictures so I could make sure he was settling in ok.”

“We had a great stay with Amanda and Michael! Our dog was there for 9 nights and we got updates daily as well as they reached out with any questions or concerns that came up which I really appreciated! Our dog came back happy and they seemed to treat her like family.”

“Amy made myself and our two shelties feel very comfortable. There was never any doubt that we had selected the right caretaker. We got daily updates and they were ready for pick up at the specific time. This is really appreciated after a long trip. :-)”

“Dee provided my dog with the best care while boarding her. She sent me pics and let me know how she was doing which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Dee to anyone looking for dog care. She is the greatest!”

“Katie and her family were amazing with our 8 month old puppy! They were very responsive and went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable with them— from a pre-trip phone call to sending us videos of our pup while we were gone. He came back very happy!!”

“Angela was a perfect choice for boarding my 2 dogs!! I couldn’t be happier, she was so comfortable with my dogs and they with her. It was so great that I found someone so compassionate with dogs! She has a huge back yard which my dogs loved . She is so good about communicating with me sending me pictures. I don’t have to look any further for someone to board my dogs! She is more than perfect. Angela was so good with our dog Tank who is very cautious around people. We will be using Angela for all our boarding! Thank you Angie from my husband and I and Tank and Zoey! We look forward to seeing you again!”

“This was our first time leaving our dogs with someone other than family. It was a great experience. Lots of updates and pics and they are treated like their own animals. Will book again.”

“Alka and Rajeev gave Kimchi very good care. They forwarded pictures and videos of her during her stay at their house which confirmed she was getting a lot of good exercise and walks. The feedback was very timely. I was very satisfied with the care given toward Kimchi which provided me peace of mind while I was on vacation. I would book with them again.”

“Barb was so nice and easy to work with. Her home is welcoming, back yard is great for the puppers. Mine fur babies were really happy at pickup and thats always the sign of a great sitter.”

About: I’m a dedicated dog lover with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I grew up with both dogs and horses, and our animals were always treated as part of the family. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet while you’re away. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a slower, gentler pace. Every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. At home, I have two Australian Cattle Dogs, Sydney (4) and Roo (2), both rescues. They’re active, social, and always happy to welcome new companions. Before them, I raised my dog Cooper from 7 weeks old through 14 wonderful years. I also regularly provide in-home dog sitting for friends and family, with stays ranging from a few days to several weeks. I work from home which provides me plenty of time to keep an eye on your pup and let them out for potty breaks. I also try to work in some play time during the day where I can. My dogs insist the ball is thrown for them a lot! I feed my my own dogs around 6:30/7am and 3:30/4pm daily. I have a nice big yard with a privacy fence and 2 well socialized, friendly and playful dogs. I have good size kitchen and living room areas that can be gated off the pups need some quiet time to themselves.
“Heather took great care of my doggo over the holidays. I know he had a blast from the photos she sent. Happy to know my dog has a new furry friend to hang out with.”

“Nicole & David were amazing!!!! They took such good care of our newly rescued dog for two weeks. They are well equipped and knowlagable when it comes to integrating dogs into their home. They are exceptional with communication and sent daily photos, videos, and updates. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a loving dog sitter and will absolutely work with them again!”

“Peg and Greg gave extraordinary care to our dog. They were very responsive and gave us continual updates on how he was doing. Lots of walks and play time! Would highly recommend!”

“These folks are tremendous! They are so kind and attentive to each dog. Many photos and almost daily communications are sent to the "dog parents". They are attuned to any special needs a dog may have.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Waterford home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Waterford.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Waterford sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
