A wonderful experience. A German shorthair pointer absolutely loved the backyard. All fenced and the kids played with her. We will definitely go back.

I cannot recommend this family enough for boarding! We did a meet and greet which was so comforting knowing our dog would love their dog too. And turns out they became the best of friends during his stay with them. We had never boarded Mac before and I was so anxious but this was so worry free and it was like he was just spending the weekend with family. We got lots of photos too!

About: Hi! My name is Candice, and I have over 25 years of hands-on animal care experience, along with volunteer experience with an animal rescue organization. Caring for animals has been a lifelong passion, not just a job. I have extensive experience caring for: • Dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and temperaments • Horses, cows, pigs, and chickens • Rabbits, hamsters, and gerbils • Birds • Reptiles, including chameleons • Freshwater and saltwater fish My rescue background has given me strong skills working with shy, anxious, senior, and special-needs animals, as well as pets that need extra patience, structure, and reassurance. EmberTail Pet Care on Facebook and Instagram Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because caring for animals has been a consistent part of my life for over 25 years. I structure my schedule to allow dedicated time for walks, drop-ins, feeding routines, playtime, and check-ins so each pet receives attentive, unrushed care. Throughout the week, I prioritize reliability and flexibility to accommodate different pet schedules, whether that means morning walks, midday visits, evening care, or overnight stays. I also build in time for communication and updates so pet parents feel informed and confident while they’re away. Because animal care is something I genuinely enjoy, it’s not something I “fit in” — it’s something I intentionally plan my day around. My care approach is always tailored to each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level. Whether I’m caring for pets in a client’s home or providing drop-ins and walks, I focus on consistency, safety, and creating a calm environment. In a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, litter or habitat maintenance, exercise, and enrichment. I respect the home as if it were my own and aim to keep pets on their normal routine so they feel secure and stress-free. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident while they’re away. During walks and drop-in visits, I prioritize safety, awareness of surroundings, and positive interaction. Walks are customized to the pet’s energy level, and visits include playtime, potty breaks, fresh water, feeding if needed, and companionship. With over 25 years of experience and animal rescue volunteer work, I’m comfortable caring for pets of all temperaments, as well as small animals, reptiles, and farm animals when needed. My goal is always to provide reliable, compassionate care so pets feel comfortable and loved in their familiar environment.

Trina was amazing with Kane! He got a nose bleed, while I was on vacation, and he was in her care. She immediately notified me that night and promptly took him 40 minutes away to his vet; which actually saved his life! The vet said he probably wouldn't have made it until his appointment that next Monday! Honestly,I thought it was probably like a human and no big deal. I was wrong. He was recovering from a few things(which she and the vet knew all about the situation) I'm glad I did talk to the vet prior since she had to take him in. I would trust Trina with any of my fur babies! She was amazing and honestly did save my dogs life. She had to make that 40-60 minute drive twice for us! She was a great choice and a God send. I almost left him with my 19 year old who didn't go. I'm SOOOO glad I didn't! Thank you Trina! You will Alessia be my dog sitter!

Keturah was so great with my overly excited pug, her family and fur babies welcomed him like he was one of their own, I was nervous leaving him for nearly a week, and I have never used rover before, but being last minute, they were very helpful and accommodating, I even had to leave him for one extra night, and Keturah assured me it was no problem to watch him, what a life saver! Bruno had so much fun and got the love he needed while I was away. I would absolutely recommend them and use them again in the future to take loving care of my Bruno.

This was the first time Billie Jo watched our dog. It was just over one night, but Billie Jo was very kind and accommodating. She was great with our large dog, adjusting her care to match his needs and routines. I appreciated her flexibility and caring demeanor very much, as well as the regular photos and updates she sent. I would recommend Billie Jo and will use her again next time we need a sitter!

Gabriella did an outstanding job watching my precious girls, she made sure they were safe from the fireworks and she made sure they got plenty of exercise while we were gone. I missed my gurls while were gone but I felt comfortable knowing they were in good hands and would be loved on while we were gone. The pictures she sent we weren’t sure the gurls would want to come home they were having so much fun but they were definitely happy to see us. I highly recommend Gabriella and we plan on using her again on our non dog vacations. ( If she’ll have us 😊 )

We were so glad to find Katie when we needed a place for our pup, Molli! Katie has a great setup for taking care of your pet. Fenced yard, screened porch, and a good place inside for the dogs and crates. Most importantly you can tell she really cares for the animals. She is very knowledgeable and was very helpful in caring for our little Molli who has been having tummy troubles. She kept us aware of what was going on and provided photos. I believe Molli enjoyed her stay and play time with Katie's pup. I would recommend her if you are in need of a dog sitter!
