About: I’ve taken care of retired racing greyhounds with lots of anxiety as well as a very spunky golden retriever puppy since he was 7 weeks old. I’ve also raised three kittens to adulthood, and they are my babies! I’ve been loving and caring for animals for as long as I can remember, and I’d love to care for yours as well! I’m currently unemployed due to chronic pain and illness, and looking to find some meaningful work! I’m hoping that taking care of some fur babies will keep my spirits up and bring them joy as well. I’m currently only doing in-home visits and walks:) I never do off-leash walking unless in a fenced area, even if the dog has good recall, because you never know how they’ll respond to someone who isn’t their owner:)
About: I absolutely love taking care of animals! I take a lot of pride in caring for your home and your babies. I also love meeting new people, and their pets! I am a full-time student with a part-time job. I work before and after my classes, but I always make it home to let the dogs out, feed the cats, etc. during the day :) I care for them as you would. I sit with them, walk them, and treat them as my own. I love animals so much, and I understand it can be hard when they are away from their parents. I always make the extra effort to give them the attention they need❤️
About: I have a small dog, Zula, for 8 years. She loves walks and the doggie park in Warrenton. What does your dog like to do? I'm retired so I can spoil your dog while you are away. Zula needs to be fed three meals a day if you prefer and I am very familiar with medication schedules and teeth brushing. I live in a condo but we get outdoors every three hours so Zula can get in her sniffing in. We also love to play tug of war with toys and retrieving a ball. Snuggles on the couch when we need rest.
“Heidi has been so accommodating and loving toward our pups! We were so grateful for her time and willingness to care! She sends the cutest pictures and wears our pups out on their walks :)”

About: I have had dogs since I was 8, mainly large size dogs and am currently raising a 1 year old Labrador retriever. My oldest dog is currently 11 years old so I am fully up to date with a range of dog care needs. Last but never least, our middle pup is an all black goldador who's 4 years old and already beat cancer! I am currently fully working as a pet caregiver and dog walker, I am new to this being my main career so still have availability for more repeat walks/stays. I am personally doing both crate and non crate training in my household as my older dogs are now more trustworthy. I am very serious and attentive to any safety measures including but not limited to leash safety and fence security.
“Gina is helpful and flexible with our schedules. Mature personality that was necessary for my dog friend. I strongly recommend Gina and approve of her approach. Thank you Gina!”

“Faith was very understanding and came to the rescue when I had an emergency at home and needed someone to take my puppy out because she needed to go potty. I texted her very last minute and she came, was very polite and was very patient with my energetic puppy. I will definitely book her again, thanks Faith!”

About: I have over 5 years of hands on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, including overnight stays. I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and family with walking, feeding, bathing, and following daily routines. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, and pets who need medications or extra attention. I’m patient, attentive, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’m also happy to provide photo and text updates for peace of mind. I work full-time but have a very flexible schedule and typically finish work around 3:30 PM. This allows me to visit pets throughout the day and provide consistent care, including walks, feedings, and check-ins. I’m available for overnight stays and make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while maintaining their normal routines. I’m happy to coordinate visit times based on your pet’s specific needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I primarily provide care in my client’s home so pets can stay in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. I always follow care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and routines. Pets are supervised, secure, and cared for in a calm, clean environment at all times. While I do have a fenced yard available if needed, my main focus is attentive, responsible, and stress-free care in your home.
“Kerry is amazing! All of my fur babies absolutely love her 😻 I wouldn’t trust anyone else with their care, to the point that I book my vacations around her availability.”
About: I grew up with many animals and have taken care of dogs, cats, and fish since I was 8 years old. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied and trusted me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets! I am currently home for the summer and eager to meet and play with some new animals! I am available during the days and very flexible! Pet safety is my priority! I make sure to have a leash, water, and some treats whenever I’m walking with a pet. I make sure to give words of affirmation (“good boy” etc.) to the pup or cat, and I care deeply about the well-being of the pet!

About: Hello, my name is Álvaro. My desire to keep puppies company comes from the intention of being able to have their company while I give them my affection and love since I come from Venezuela and I have always had a deep love for dogs but being here it is difficult for me to be able to adopt one so not being able to have one I saw as an excellent option to take care of other people while I take care of them they give happiness to my life. I am currently working on my own, so I have all the availability to take care of the time and place you need me :) I don't have a patio to receive your pet but I have a car to move to the place and give them the attention and affection they deserve
“Alicia really came through for me when I was desperately searching for someone to come walk my dog last minute! She was communicative and very nice! Recommend her to anyone!”

About: Nestled on acreage at the end of a quiet dead-end road, our place offers plenty of room to roam, sniff, and explore. My husband is a commercial fisherman, and during the summer season I'm home full-time running my photography business alongside my three dogs: V, Banjo, and our newest addition, Spudly. We're a dog-loving (and cat-loving!) household with a laid-back lifestyle. Most days are spent exploring the fields, taking walks up the road, enjoying the occasional beach adventure, or simply relaxing around the house. My dogs are friendly, well-socialized, and used to sharing their space with visiting pups. Whether your dog loves outdoor adventures or prefers a cozy nap in the living room, they'll have a safe, relaxed environment and plenty of companionship while they're here. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to take breaks for walks, check-ins, and spending time with the pets in my care. I’m used to planning my day around feeding schedules, exercise, and giving animals attention throughout the day! When caring for pets in my home, I focus on keeping their routine consistent and the environment calm and safe. I follow feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any specific instructions closely. Dogs receive regular walks, outdoor time, and attention throughout the day. Because I have cats in my home, I’m only able to host dogs who are known to be safe and respectful around cats.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
