About: Hi there, my name is Paulo, and I have had dogs living with me all my life. My family and I love animals, especially the chubby dogs :) Two years ago, we lost our dear friend Bruce to cancer. Bruce was a sweet English bulldog that came to our house as a tiny puppy and moved with us from Brazil to Canada. Our hearts are still broken after Bruce, but my daughter Maria had the amazing idea to host animals at our home to help with the healing process, so...long story short, we would love to take care of your friend while you're gone...especially Maria! I work from home as an IT manager for a big company, and my wife works as a teaching assistant in downtown Chilliwack. My work is quite flexible, so your friend will have all deserved attention 24x7 :) We live in a three-story house with a good-sized and fenced backyard. Your friend will be able to enjoy the whole house like it's his or hers :)

Apart from Jerry, friends and family always left their pups and dogs at our house for me to walk them. My first job was dog-walking and dog- boarding at age 15. I'm currently available all day, any time, till January 30th for short-term or long-term pet needs that include boarding, walking, drop-offs etc. Rest assured I'm available for the walkies, talkies, treatos and anything your pet needs. I ask the family member on important details and non- negotiable schedules or habits that the pet has. I then try to connect with the pet with their favourite treats or toys for first meetings and try to get them comfortable. If boarding at home, I ask what the pet preferences are- stay in the same room for rest/ separate space etc. We may go for a short hike, walk, or stay home quiet depending upon the pet's preferences and go from there.
