About: I’ve been taking care of pets from as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs, I currently have 3, whom I love dearly. Meeting new pets and taking care of them make me extremely happy. Dropping in on doggies and cats is my job. I throughly enjoy walking, playing, and taking care of animals. It’s something I look forward to every day. I make sure to clean up after myself after every visit. I’ll communicate with the owner throughout my visits, asking questions when I have them or letting the owners know if there are any problems while they are away.

“Cadence has watched my babies twice now, and I am very thankful that I don't have to worry about their well being or her reliability. She follows instructions, which included managing behaviors and administering medications. The dogs always seem relaxed, which says a lot!”

“We have used Cacy the last couple times for our three crazy dogs and she has been so wonderful! It is usually very last minute and she has been extremely accommodating and we have a special needs dog that she has taken very good care of. We couldn’t recommend her enough for your animals!”

“We left our dogs with Becca for over a week during the holidays - and she was awesome! We got pictures of the dogs everyday and she left the house clean and tidy upon our return. We will absolutely be using Becca again!”

“We have a special needs pup that needs a lot of care, and she had no problem taking on the chaos! We did a meet and greet, she was so friendly! During the stay, she was so good about checking in as well as sending multiple photos, which I loved. If she wasn’t sure about something she asked, and she followed all of our directions perfectly! My pups loved her and we will definitely be using her again!”

About: I have been pet sitting for many years and I have lots of pets of my own! I have been working in veterinary medicine since 2019 and I am currently a veterinary student at K-State! I am a veterinary student at K-State so I have class Monday through Friday. While in school I do have breaks throughout the day and I am done before 5 most days, which leaves plenty of time for fetch, snuggles, and walks! I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs of my own who love to play. I also have 3 cats at my home.
“Presley was incredibly communicative and professional throughout the entire booking process and was always quick to answer any questions we had. This was our first time using in-home care for Cooper, and she made us feel completely comfortable and confident leaving him in her care while we were away. She took such wonderful care of him, every photo update she sent had him literally smiling! It was clear he was happy, relaxed, and well loved the whole time. We will absolutely be re-booking with Presley and highly recommend her to all of our friends and family looking for someone to care for their fur babies!”

About: I’ve grown up on a ranch with many dogs, horses and cows. So I can even help out with large animals if need be! I also have a friendly puppy and horse of my own here in Manhattan. As a Kansas State University student and member of the K-State Rodeo Team, caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I have experience with pets of all sizes and personalities and understand the importance of consistency, patience, and attention to detail. My schedule is flexible, and I am available for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays. I treat every pet like my own and provide regular updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. I have much experience with all types of dog personalities and nothing surprises me. I can easily crate dogs or give them a bath. I run most days for a work out so I can even take your furry friend on a run!
About: Hey there my name is Krystal, thank you for visiting my profile and considering me for your Pet care needs! If you’re like me, your pets are family members. When you can’t be home for them, whether it’s for work, vacation or other obligations, you want your best friends taken care of with the same love and attention you give them. I do my absolute best to make sure each dog that visits my home has a fun, relaxing and stress free stay. I like to consider this a vacation for them and strive to make them feel like they are at their second home. I am an experienced, life-long dog owner and lover. Whether your dog is shy or bold, young or senior, large or small, I will provide loving care for your best friend. My family consists of myself, my husband, my 2 children ages 9 & 12 and my 2 dogs Polkadot (10) & Tobi (<1) My home has a dog door that leads to our fenced backyard so your dog will have plenty of room to run and play. I like to let dogs sleep wherever they are most comfortable and do not require them to be crated at night so long as they are well behaved, potty trained and do not cause a disturbance to others. Guests will have free roam of the main areas of my home during their visit and will be allowed in bedrooms with supervision. All dogs will be separated at mealtimes so that they can eat without disruption and so that dogs don't feel the need to guard resources and also to avoid the chance of anyone getting an upset stomach from eating anyone else's food. Access to fresh water is provided around the clock (Please let me know if your dog is on any type of fluid restriction or if they have a recommended cut off time so appropriate measures can be taken). For dogs that free feed they will be offered food multiple times throughout the day but I am unable to leave food out as to ensure other dogs won't be able to consume it. A quick meet & greet is almost always required prior to a new stay. Occasionally a trial daycare or overnight may be necessary to make sure your pup is a good fit for longer stays. - For the safety of my family, pets and boarding/daycare guests that may be in my care I can NOT keep any dogs that are known to be aggressive in my home, if your dog shows any aggressive behavior at drop off or during their stay that can not be controlled or corrected, services will be subject to termination and your dog will be required to be picked up or alternate care arrangements be made. In the event that a stay is terminated due to aggressive, destructive or otherwise unsafe behavior, refunds will be given at my discretion. -Bring it list- • food• leash• collar/ harness• pet bed/blanket if they have something special they prefer. *I'm so very sorry but I can no longer accept new clients with the following breeds: GSD or Pit Bulls.

Riley was not only well cared for, but I can see that he was also loved and enriched during his time with Kristen and that just means the world to me. Kristen was also incredibly responsive, amazing taking care of our home, and sent great photos and videos. 100% hope to book again!”

About: I have done drop in visits, farm sitting, dog grooming, equine care, and taken care of many animals. I have at least 10 references. Love all the animals and will treat them with love and respect. I own a mobile dog grooming business so can make my own schedule. I have my farm animals but I have help from family to care for mine when I’m needed elsewhere. I prefer to let the animals be in their own home as they seem less stressed knowing they will be where there family will be coming back to. They have their comfortable spots and smells and doesn’t disrupt their routine but if necessary I could care for them at my home. Would walk smaller dogs on leash outside or have outdoor pens for larger dogs to get to run.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wamego walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wamego maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wamego choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
