“Couldn’t recommend Rachael highly enough. Took excellent care of our dogs, was communicative and timely. Everything was perfectly in order upon our arrival home.”

About: I have had dogs all my life. We currently have a dog, a cat and a tortoise, that love to run and play all day. I have cared for puppies all the way up to senior dogs and dogs that need special care. We would love to check on your pet, give them the love and walks and care they need while you’re away. I am off for the summer and have a flexible schedule to come check on/care for/walk your pet (any pet) while you’re away. I have 2 kids who love to help and tag along (but if that’s not possible that is ok) if that is allowed with your pet. We love to love on pets while their family is away and we would love to care for them! I am off during the summer and very flexible! I have 2 kids that do love to come and help BUT if it is not fusible with your pet we can work around it :? Currently, dogs would not be the best pet in our home. I can come to your house and check on ANY animal. We have cared for and have had part of our family reptiles, fish, cats, dogs…
“Caralisa did a great job with my senior kitties while we were away, which included giving meds and keeping up with our Litter Robot! She should get a 10/10 for responsiveness and communication, and went out of her way to get to our meet-and-greet after she was traveling all day. Would definitely recommend for your pets.”

About: I've been housesitting and petsitting since 2009! I have experience primarily with cats, and I also have extensive plant and yard care experience for those extended vacations! I would love to take care of your pets and home during your much-needed vacation. I'm also comfortable caring for your furless babies, too, including birds, fish, and reptiles! I live in Eugene. I currently work part-time and attend school at OSU part-time, so my flexible schedule will fit perfectly with you and your pet's needs! I am primarily available in afternoons and on weekends. I frequently split my time between Eugene and Corvallis - I have my location marked as Corvallis to make it easy for me to get to classes from caring for your home and pets! Your home is you and your pets' haven! I aim to take care of every home and all pets with the same attentive care I would give my own. Safety, cleanliness, and respect are my top priorities! For housesitting requests, please be clear about your expectations for how much/little time you would like for me to spend at your home during the day, potty break/litter box routines, sleeping arrangements, etc. I love getting as much information as possible so I can do my absolute best caring for your pets and home!
“Anabelle took a good care of Bear (male cat) over the last two weeks through her daily visits. She made sure Bear got everything he needed. I loved getting Ana's daily updates and photos of Bear—it really gave me peace of mind. Thank you, Ana. I appreciate you.”

“Justine is the best sitter ever! She does an amazing job with my two dogs by feeding, cleaning up after them! She sends me daily updates and photos of them what they are doing. I highly recommend Justine!”

“Booked Mia for last minute care for my cats and I’m so glad I found her! She seems super sweet and thoughtful, and was communicative and responsive to the (many) details I gave her for her time at my place. Will definitely be requesting her services again in the future!”

About: As a pre-veterinary student, I provide more than just pet sitting—I bring knowledge, patience, and a genuine passion for animal care. I have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, and other small animals through both personal ownership and animal care work. I'm comfortable caring for puppies, senior pets, and animals with special needs, including administering medications when needed. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, quiet companionship, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'll provide attentive, reliable care and regular updates so you can have peace of mind. I'm currently home for the summer, so I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Aside from occasional appointments and errands, I'm home throughout the day. Caring for animals is already a part of my daily routine, as I have pets of my own with established care schedules. Adding your pet into that routine allows me to provide consistent feeding, potty breaks, playtime, exercise, medication (if needed), and plenty of companionship. I always work to maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, medical needs, and any household rules so I can provide care that's both safe and consistent. In my home, I maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment and closely supervise interactions. I carefully introduce new situations at each pet's comfort level and never leave animals in unsafe situations. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat both the home and the animals with the same respect and care I would expect for my own. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any specific care requests exactly as directed. I also provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. As a pre-veterinary student, I'm attentive to changes in an animal's behavior or health and won't hesitate to contact you—and, if necessary, seek veterinary care—if I have concerns.
“Julie did great! Max loved the walks and the ball tosses. Sasha is 16 and has trouble walking, taking her medicine and sometimes has accidents and Julie took good care of her, took her for short walks, got her to take her pills most of the time.”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover, starting my journey at just 12 years old, walking dogs and pet sitting for neighbors. Over the years, my passion for animals grew into a profession, and for 7 years, I’ve worked as a veterinary assistant. From managing health issues and ensuring proper exercise to offering endless love and attention, I provide care that goes above and beyond basic sitting. I have in-depth experience with administering medications, senior care, and specialized needs for puppies and kittens. As a passionate dog trainer, I’ve also successfully trained my own pup since he was just 4 months old, making him the well-behaved boy he is today. I am currently completing my Bachelor’s degree at Lane Community College while also participating in a summer internship. During this summer, I work Monday through Thursday from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with an alternate schedule of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM every other Friday. I am still available for midday check-ins during lunch, except Wednesdays. Outside of my work hours, my schedule remains flexible for you and your pets. I’m happy to coordinate drop-off and pickup times, but I do ask that we stick as closely as possible to the agreed-upon schedule, as changes may require rescheduling based on my availability that day. For recurring bookings, I do my best to maintain a consistent schedule. Occasionally, a day or time may need to be adjusted, especially during holiday months, and I’ll always provide advance notice whenever possible. For house sitting, I am not able to provide 24/7 constant care. I balance my own pets, family, work, school, loyal clients, and other commitments, so I focus on providing high-quality care during the times I’m available. Reasonable time limits for when I’m away can be arranged to ensure your pet’s routine and comfort are maintained. To keep my calendar updated and ensure I can continue receiving booking requests, please note: if you are requesting a sitting within one week, you’ll have 24 hours to respond before I archive the request. For bookings more than a week away, you’ll have 48 hours to respond before the request is archived. In my care, I strive to create a comfortable, stress-free environment for your pets, whether it’s in my home or yours. MEET & GREET: -During the initial meet & greet for boarding and doggy day care, you’re welcome inside my home to see where your pet(s) will be staying. After that, drop-offs and pickups happen from the car. This makes it easier and safer for me to introduce your pet(s) to my dog again, since pets often behave differently when their owner isn’t nearby. -The first meet & greet is complimentary. I require additional requested meet & greets and key pickups to be booked as drop-ins. -To keep things on schedule, meet & greets are 30 minutes. IN YOUR HOME: -I follow their routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and medications. I monitor their health and behavior, give plenty of affection, and respect your space by keeping it clean and secure. IN MY HOME: -I provide a cozy, pet-friendly setting with structure, supervision, and love. I treat every pet like my own, ensuring they’re cared for with the same level of love and expertise. I have a well-behaved, friendly 15lb rescue pup that would love to be your pet's next best friend. -For the first night, I usually have pups sleep in a kennel. In my experience, pets can behave differently in a new environment, and kenneling provides a controlled, safe space to help them adjust. I’m happy to discuss your dog’s needs to ensure a comfortable and stress-free stay. Overall, my goal is to ensure your pets feel loved, comfortable, and secure in any environment while providing the expert care they need.
“Ashley was on time and very responsive to messages from me. She was excellent with my fearful reactive rescue dog and was able to give her pets within 7 minutes. I could not have been more grateful and happy with our conversation and am so grateful for her knowledge and recommendations for my dog. I would definitely rebook with her. Thank you Ashley!”

“Kelsie was fantastic! She was very timely, posted photos of each drop-in visit, and described each event that occurred during the visit. My wife and I highly recommend her!”

“Amy was amazing with our senior dog! She was so gentle, patient, and understanding. As a professional, Amy excels as well. She stayed in communication with us, took pictures or video, and was always on time. Our dog has some special needs and medications, and Amy made sure that everything was done just right. Amy is a joy to work with, and I cannot recommend her highly enough!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Walterville
Tina did drop-in visits with our 2 cats while we were out of town for 2 weeks. She did a good job keeping up with them and I appreciated her prompt communication working through an issue with the cats’ feeder that came up while we were gone. Would use her again and would recommend her service.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Walterville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
