“I can’t say enough about Emily! She watched both of my pups while I was away on vacation and they were sooo loved! She sent lots of pictures and updates. Will definitely be boarding with her in the future.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was around 13, from pet sitting for neighbors, friends and family to working professionally in dog daycare and boarding facilities. I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, including puppies and senior dogs. I’m comfortable giving medications, following prescription diets and special feeding instructions, and I also have experience giving insulin injections to diabetic dogs. My professional experience has also included bathing, daycare/boarding care and transporting pets. I have three dogs of my own, including my 11-year-old husky mix and two young dachshunds, so I’m very comfortable with everything from puppy energy to senior care. I currently have a very flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time for pet care throughout the week. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits and other pet care during weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to work with your pet’s normal routine as much as possible, whether that means early potty breaks, meal times, medications or just some extra playtime and attention. I treat every pet like I would want someone to treat my own. I pay close attention to feeding instructions, medications, potty schedules and each pet’s individual routine. I have experience with puppies, senior dogs and dogs with special care needs. I’m also very mindful of doors, gates, leashes and surroundings because I know how quickly a curious dog can decide it’s time for an adventure! I’m happy to follow whatever routine and safety rules you have in place in your home.
“Shayna thank you so much for taking care of Maxx. Keeping me updated with photos and whereabouts truly left a lasting impression and I felt comfortable leaving my pet with you. I will definitely be a return customer.”

“Bradley graciously accepted a short notice booking for our dog Ghost. He was very communicative and responsive leading up to and throughout the boarding stay. Bradley’s dog Beaux is very sweet, gentle & got along well with Ghost. We 100% recommend Bradley for boarding.”

“Christie was very responsive. She sent daily pics of my pup. This was my first time leaving my pup and she made me feel comfortable. I would definitely use her again in the future.”

“Courtney was great with our puppy. We were hesitant leaving him anywhere because he is so young and we have only had him for 4 weeks, but Courtney made us feel comfortable about leaving him. We got pics daily and I knew my puppy was in good hands. We will definitely be using Courtney again!”

“Kristin was amazing with Mazi! She kept us updated throughout his stay and sent lots of pictures, which gave us peace of mind. Mazi is very needy and loves attention, hugs, and affection, and she made sure he got plenty of love. She even gave him a bath before he came home. We could tell he was comfortable, happy, and well cared for. We truly appreciate how she treated our baby and would definitely book with her again!”

“Teresa and William are trustworthy, have a true love for pets and cared for my dog as if it was their own! Teresa and William thank you so much for caring for Max!”

“This was Mabel’s second stay with Lisa. She is wonderful and I know Mabel was in great hands and so well cared for! :) I will always feel comfortable leaving her with Lisa!”

“So glad Snoopy could play with other dogs and Emery was able to squeeze us in for our weekend of football festivities! Snoop’s hooman big bro won too so an awesome weekend all around!!”

“Hannah was quick in her responses, especially with our very last minute care of our 11 week old Carina. She made us relaxed from our first meet and greet. Her disposition was soft, therefore, calming us all. We will definitely use Hannah again, and already asked as much 😆 Thank you Hannah!”

“Very very sweet. Easy to communicate with and I’ll definitely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter who treats your pet like family.”

“This was our second time boarding with Jason, with two days of daycare prior. As usual Mojo was well taken care of 😊 Pictures were sent which is awesome! For me to be able to see a daily picture made me feel at ease to see that Mojo was happy. Thank you Jason!”

“Kristin is absolutely fantastic! We booked her with 24 hours notice and she took our furry kids without hesitation. She sent photos and videos and loved them as if they were hers. I can’t say enough nice things about the care Kristin gave our boys!”

“Love Marqita. She is so caring and my fur baby loves her. She treats your baby like her own and keeps you informed throughout their stay with her without asking. Highly recommended.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in LA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
