1. Melanie C.
“Melanie has been a godsend! She has been visiting our golden retriever pup 2x on weekdays for close to a month now, and he just adores his playtime with "Auntie Mel" when we have to be a work. Melanie is always professional, punctual, offers great advice and tips, and sends regular updates/photos of our little guy when she's with him. We hope Melanie & Murray will be buddies for a long time to come!”
2. Nancy L.
“Nancy did a great job with our doggies. Our trip was cut short, but when we got home the pups were just as happy as when we left. We got a lot of great pics she took while she was visiting, and looked like they enjoyed her company. Thank you Nancy for watching over our babies. We will definitely keep you as our sitter for our fur babies!”

5. Michele M.
“Michele did a great job of watching our 2 dogs while we were away. I could tell that Michele really like dogs. She is a mature and trustworthy person who I felt secure with having her stay at our house while caring for our dogs. I liked that she sent photos of our 4-legged kids doing activities and having fun. It was a relief for my husband and I to be able to leave knowing that our dogs could be home in their secure environment. They did not have to be in a new place or kenneled in a confined space. I highly recommend Michele for pet sitting!”
6. Erica L.
“Erica has been a kind, caring and thoughtful keeper of my 2 cats. She came by twice a day, on short notice due to an unplanned trip for a family funeral. To have someone so reliable and supportive during a difficult time was a huge blessing. She also was very flexible when my travel plans were disrupted by weather delays. She also was proactive in bringing in packages that were delivered during my trip. The cats were happy to see her, and she kept them active and engaged during her visits. If they could talk they would probably ask when their new friend is coming back to play!”

11. Morgan T.
“Morgan is the most conscientious pet owner/animal lover that I know! She treats every dog and cat as if they were her own. Pretty sure my cat Mort loves her more than he does me. And my mom trusts no one but Morgan to stay with her cat Beni when she takes multi-day trips. Morgan also sends pics and videos to you while you’re away, which are very comforting to receive😊 In short, I wouldn’t hire anyone else, my family won’t hire anyone else, and my neighbors gush over how happy their dogs are when Morgan cares for them! If you’re seeking someone to truly CARE for your beloved pet, Morgan is available, hire her, you’ll be so happy you did!”

About: I am new to Rover through friends and other sites have now done many housesits with dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters, and more! For me, there is nothing better than getting to spend the day between online work sessions throwing a ball or going for a walk around to explore with the best canine companion. I have lots of experience adjusting to different dogs' routines. I mostly have experience with smaller dogs, though have cared for the occasional one bigger dog at a time. I try to connect with each animal under my care and make sure they are comfortable, attended to, and loved. I have raised my own dog, Violet, from Day 1, so I am experienced with puppy care. I have also cared for several senior dogs and really love taking the extra time with them, whether a slower walk, attention to a skin condition, or extra attention to food and medication. I work online teaching literature and creative writing, so I am around all day, taking the occasional few-hour trip out to run errands or go to appointments. I have lots of flexibility to adjust to any dog's usual schedule and make sure they have attention and my presence. I have always worked hard at leaving a light footprint when I housesit. I am very aware of leaving things how I found them and honoring each person's space. And I follow that for pets as well -- sensing into their routines and habits and fitting myself into that flow. I especially appreciate any written instructions or routines to refer back to and will make sure I am carrying out each person and animal's expectations. I also make sure to send regular photos and updates and will promptly share any concerns or questions. For now, I'm available for drop-in visits or walks and also for housesitting, but only for owners and pets who would be open to having another dog -- my 26lb dog Violet -- in their home. She has been on many housesits and does well with animals of all kinds. I make sure to ease them into the situation and spend time with each dog separately. Violet basically ignores cats, so we would be open to any dog-tolerating felines.

About: I have grown up with animals my entire life, and I have endless love for them. I enjoy taking them for walks, playing with them, or snuggling on the couch. I can be strict and set rules, while still forming a bond of trust. My schedule is flexible allowing me to easily take care of animals since I am at home the majority of the time. I am active so walking and playing with the animals is not a problem at all. I have a large yard for them to play in, and my home is clean with lots of comfortable places for the dogs or cats.
