“Samson absolutely loved Bradley, I will be booking him anytime I go out of time ! Bradley is very responsive and makes me feel better about going on trips and not having to worry if Samson is loved or cared for !”

“Kayla was amazing, she really put me at ease about leaving my pets for the week. She provided updates and pictures with every visit and she even won over my anxious cat who normally hides with new people!”

“Bonnie did a great job taking care of Remi. She was reliable, attentive, and made sure everything was handled just as we asked. It gave us real peace of mind knowing Remi was in good hands. We would definitely trust her again and appreciate the care she provided.”

“Elizabeth did a fantastic job at taking care of my two kitties. She cleaned up after them well and made sure to check in with me at every visit. It made being away from them a lot easier. I would absolutely book with her again in the future!”

About: I have loved animals my whole life. I wanted to be a vet growing up but I couldn't do it because of the sadness of them being sick, so I settled on being a teacher instead. I have consistently had dogs for the last 10 years. My oldest dog has been through 3 training classes and has his good citizens certificate. I currently have 4 dogs and each of them were puppies when I adopted them. I have animal sat for many friends and family throughout the last 15 years. I am a teacher and my daily schedule is 8:30-4:15. I would be able to care for your animal before school and after school and any time later at night. During the summer and any break from the Polk County Schools calendar I am available all day long. I have 4 dogs already, so I am more than happy to come and care for your pets in your home. I know my dogs are more comfortable to be in their own home than a new environment. I will speak with you beforehand and find out what makes your animals most comfortable while you are gone (e.g. music on, tv on, special toys, lights left on or off) I also have no problem bringing in your mail, trash cans, or watering your plants while you are gone. I will send pictures so you know your animals are happy and well while you are gone. I will care for your animals as if they were my own!
“Samantha is the best! She’s always on time, has great communication, and you can tell she really loves the dogs! I know my dog obi and my puppy Eve are in great hands with her.”

About: I have cared for many pets my whole life! I’ve taken in feral litters of cats and helped raise them until they were able to be adopted, I have cats, and help with the care of 4 dogs of varying sizes. I have had cats and all types of dogs growing up! I love making sure furry family feels loved, and gets taken care of. I am just starting out, however Rover is my full time job. I use this platform so I can still care for my little brother on the weekends. Some people have help with Rover, but I am working solo so please be patient with me. I have a fenced in portion of the yard just for our dogs to run around as they please, they have set meal times and have constant access to love and snuggles! Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wahneta. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
