About: I'm a BIG cat person! Even the temperamental ones warm up to me quickly. Maybe because they sense I appreciate their distinct cat personality! I've had at least one cat my entire life, until I lost my little Piper to hyperthyroidism and other complications. I also love dogs! We recently lost our girl, Cleo, our 14-year-old terrier mix. We loved going for hikes, or in more recent times, just wondering around in our large fenced in yard. Having cared for many older or sick pets, I was always nervous to leave them. It was the hardest part about traveling. My goal is to provide reassurance that your loved ones are in good hands while you're away. And to give you the freedom to relax and know your kids are being care for with love. I left my corporate job in 2022 to enjoy a slower place, connect with people and nature, travel and explore a new career path. Now I’m running my own product design studio part-time so my schedule is flexible. I am available daily and have lots of time to shower your fur babies with attention. I live on the east side of Tallahassee, close to Costco, and a quick drive to many neighborhoods in town. I'm an outdoorsy person, so I would love to take your dog on long or short walks, to the dog park or many of the local dog-friendly trails. For cats, playtime is just as important, so I'd hope to spend some time interacting using toys or treats, if your cat is into that. And I'd be in heaven to pet sit a lap cat! Even one with gas...that really happened to me. :-) If taking care of pets at my house, all the same fun activities would apply. My home is fully equipped for cats and dogs, with an enclosed sunny sitting porch and huge 2 acre fully fenced in backyard. No crates, unless that's what your pet prefers. My goal is to create a cozy, familiar home away from home.

About: I have been taking care of dogs, cats and even horses since the age of 9. From drop ins, dog walking, overnights and even puppy classes I have worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have potty trained, crate trained, and taught basic commands to both puppy and adult dogs. I have cared for senior dogs and have experience giving meds and care for post surgery/medical procedure. From the time I was a child I have loved being trusted to care for neighbors and friends animals while they were away. No animal is off limits as I love them all! I look forward to meeting and working with you and yours! I am currently staying at home while my husband works so my schedule is very open. Every day of the week is a possibility for drop ins or overnight care. I live in a home with plenty of space to crate your baby if they stay the night, ensuring their safety and ours. I currently own a 75lb goldendoodle who loves playing with other dogs. My neighborhood is incredibly dog friendly and is lined on a paved circle perfect for walking dogs. I usually do an AM and PM walk to allow dogs to potty, along with intermittently taking them out throughout the day. Most play time happens inside where there is a much lower risk of escape or overheating.

About: I am 37 years old and have cared for pets over the years but done Rover/Professional dog sitting for roughly 5 and a half years now. I worked as a traveling salesman for a few years so I unfortunately wasn’t able to have a pet(it would’ve been more difficult) but I stayed at many airbnbs that had cats/dogs and I have many friends who have let me keep their pets for them over the years. I had a pet snake for about 7 years(Rosey Boa). I can care for any and all animals including fish and reptiles. I'm not afraid of Tarantulas and birds are ok too. I only work part-time so I am pretty available to help your pet. I am happy to take dogs on walks, dog park visits, and I am an avid hiker so if you think your dog would enjoy a nature walk I can bring plenty of water and show them the great outdoors. I do not have a fully fenced in yard. I live in an apartment complex but I live on an end unit and currently I do not have roommates so I am happy to have pets to keep me company. Theres plenty of places to walk the dogs around my complex and as long as they’ll get along and are housebroken I am able to host multiple pets. Cats are ok too. I love exotics like reptiles and tarantulas as well. Ferrets and other furry friends are also ok. I can do house sitting and I am open to long term stays in other people's homes. Please let me know if your pet has any special needs and I can accommodate that. I have experience with elderly dogs. I can easily take your dog for walks or to the dog park if that's allowed. I do keep multiple dogs sometimes but if your dog isn't friendly with other dogs I can easily make arrangements especially if it's multiple dogs. I like to take the dogs on frequent walks and sometimes I watch movies/TV with pets in the evening. Do go ahead and send me a request! What are you waiting for? I promise the only thing I will fail to do is disappoint you! I'm working part-time so I generally am available to keep your dog/pet company however if you have the kind of pet that can't go more than 3 hours or so being alone I cannot do that. Occasionally I have to leave the house and do errands. I have everything needed at my house for dogs. You would just have to bring food, leash/harness and treats. I have crates, bowls, toys and everything else needed. I don't have a fenced in yard but there are many areas where the dog can walk and play around here. I don't have any other dogs of my own currently.

About: I have a genuine love for animals and a strong understanding of their needs, which makes me a great pet sitter. I’ve had experience caring for a variety of pets, and I always make sure to provide personalized care for each one. What sets me apart from other sitters is my ability to connect with animals on a deeper level, helping them feel safe and comfortable. I’m especially patient and attentive when working with puppies, senior pets, or animals with special needs. I’m skilled at recognizing behavioral cues, which allows me to train puppies and provide gentle care for senior pets to keep them healthy and happy. My compassionate nature and dedication to their well-being really shine through in the care I give. Pet care fits into my routine by allowing me to balance my college schedule with taking care of pets. I make time for walks, feeding, and play between classes or in my free time. My flexible schedule lets me provide pets with the attention they need without interfering with my studies or other responsibilities. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I make sure to create a comfortable and safe environment for them. I ensure they have fresh food, clean water, and plenty of space to play and relax. I stick to any routines or instructions provided by the pet owner, whether it’s feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, or special care needs. I also make time for walks, playtime, and cuddling to give them attention and affection. In a client’s home, I’m mindful of their space and maintain cleanliness, ensuring the pet feels at ease while the owner is away.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Wacissa commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
