About: As growing up, I had many types of pet bunny’s, dogs, cats, fishes! I loved every single one of them. My favorite moments of my life. I have a soft spot for dachshunds but I’m comfortable with all breads, puppies, and seniors animals! I can handle feeding schedules and lots of belly rubs. :) I’m currently working part time, so I have a flexible schedule. I’m available for boarding on weekdays and weekends for walks in/drops in! I love to spend my extra time with animals! I believe I am a trustworthy person! I love helping and taking care of people. I used to babysit in my free time, and I’m currently majoring in child life specialist. I want to be more out going in learning how to help more people in needs! :)

About: What started as a dog sitting gig in college, has become a joy and passion of mine to make pets with temporarily absent owners have the best time pawsible. • I'm comfortable working with many species and breeds, big or small. • I know peace of mind matters as much as great care, so I keep you in the loop about your pet at every step. • Pets can have emergencies, and I'm equipped with basic pet first aid to handle them if needed. • I'll send regular updates and resolve minor issues on the spot, only looping you in for anything urgent. • I follow your instructions precisely and on schedule, because the little things matter. • Walks, vet visits, and grooming appointments are handled exactly as planned, no matter your pet's routine. I have the flexibility to give your pet the attention they deserve. * Available Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM * Flexible within those hours for drop-ins, extended visits, or full-day care I am prepared for emergencies and always carry my kit, but if something out of my scope happens, I am prepared to go to the vet. If needed, I will contact you afterwards with a detailed report. * Boarding/Doggy Day care: I live in a 2-bedroom apartment with a big living room. Usually, pets will stay in a designated area in the living room where I can monitor them. They will also feel safe and cared for during their stay. * House Sitting: I will monitor your pet in the area you decide, whether they roam free around the house or if you need to keep them in a designated area of the house that they feel safe in.

“I couldn't be happier! I have a high-energy 5 year old lab mix. Vanessa knew exactly how to handle her- and thats not easy! Miska is very particular and very verbal! When I got home from work- she was in a great mood and if she didn't love Vanessa, she would have given me a little attitude! Vanessa communicated throughout the process with me- as it was the first time I have used Rover! I greatly appreciate her guidance and special attention to Miska! We also had another dog with us, Abi, that she took great care of as well. Thanks Vanessa! You obviously love the dogs!”

About: Specializing in gentle, professional care to elderly and disabled dogs and cats. I started my professional career in animal care at the East Bay SPCA Veterinary Clinic in Oakland. Inspired by the importance of animal welfare, I would complete an eight-week internship at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, where I gained valuable skills in veterinary pre- and post-op care. Following that remarkable experience, I was a veterinary assistant for a holistic veterinarian at a private practice. Later, I returned to shelter medicine as a veterinary technician at the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society. This span of 25 years allowed me to develop and strengthen my skills and expertise in animal care, specializing in the needs of senior dogs and cats. I am currently accepting new senior or disabled pets for slow strolls and other enrichment activities. My availability is flexible on Saturdays and Sundays, while weekdays are limited to only evening visits. Your pet's trust is important to me. I will arrive into your home with a warm and calm voice, assuring your beloved pets that I am gentle and kind. Being a former vet tech, I am also trained and skilled at giving medication*, which can be done in the comfort of your home. *All medications must be veterinarian-prescribed with dosage instructions. No exceptions.
“Kailyn did a great job watching our cat while we were away! She was very responsive, sent us pictures and updates during each visit, and took care of everything exactly as we asked. We also really appreciated that she left our house clean and tidy. It gave us peace of mind knowing our cat was in good hands, and we would definitely book with her again!”

“Diana was so great with my senior husky. I had a short notice request to drop in and check on my husky while I was going to out for the day. It was a great comfort knowing Cali was in caring and experienced hands. Diana also sent great updates and I’d highly recommend her to care for anyone’s fur babies.”

About: I have been a dog mom most of my life. More recently I’ve worked with a rescue and have experience fostering dogs . All 3 of my dogs are rescues and they are all very different so I’ve learned that they all their own individualized plan I currently work full time so I am available most weekends for boarding. Sometimes I’m off over the summer so my availability opens up then I have a really big fenced yard and a cozy pet friendly home. I have 3 small dogs who I love very much. My heeler mix is a bit fear aggressive towards new people and large dogs but he is obedient and I am working on socializing him more and I know exactly to manage. I’ve fostered a variety of dogs the last year and he just needs time to warm up to new dogs and people. My other 2 are terrier mixes and have been socialized since they were pups.
About: Hi, my name is Sandra, I have owned pets for my entire life, all started when my dad brought into my life my first kitten, we already had a small dog , also had a birds so o have experience on taking care of birds as well. I want to let you know that I’m here to help in all your needs while you are away. I know how sad is to be away from your furry friend and this is why i decided to help families taking care of their pets while they have fun in their vacations or trips, I will do my best to play and take care of you lovely pets, I will do my best to keep you updated on how your dear friend is doing, not just one time during the day but as much as you are ok to receive updates, because I know how frustrating is to leave your poppy with someone else you don’t know well and without getting updates during a day because one update is not enough, I will make sure to take care of them as they were mine. I have no problem keeping your pets inside of my house as long they are nice and clean 🧼 we suggested you shower or take them to the groomers before bringing them, if they are potty trained they can use the doggie door. If you decide to leave your dogs at home and want me to visit them I can do my best for them not to feel lonely I can do multiple visits if you decide that. Let me know what ever is best for you and will do it as you wish:) Thank you in advance, I can not wait to meet your furry friend 💕😻🐶🐾 I’m at home most of the time, have plenty time to take care of my furry friends. My husband works all day, my daughters at school but I’m mostly at home. I will have from Monday to Sunday unless I say I can’t for any particular reason. Any questions or special requests, please let me know. For a good environment, if you are bringing your dog please be aware that I will keep your dogs mostly inside for their safety and Comfort, so please be respectful towards our family and place by bringing your pet house train and clean, I recommend you to take him to groomers right before you bring him/ her because I will let them to use our couches and beds; please note they just go outside for little bit to play with me and Bruce I have a fence pool, if your dogs know how to swim they will be slow to enjoy the pool area. I don’t habe anything that will harm your baby during the stay. Any special restrictions, please let me know.

About: Hi I'm new to the area my family and I were recently relocated and stationed in San Diego with the Navy. With that being said I complexly understand the desire to have someone you can trust to look after and care for your fur baby. I grew up with dogs, cats, and even some birds. I've had pets off and on my whole life. Animals have always had a very close place to my heart and I will treat them as if they are my family. I don't have any breed preferences, I love all dogs, and cats. I would prefer meeting the dog once prior to sitting with them over a weekend. Just to be sure they feel comfortable with me as I know it can sometimes be a little scary for them to be in an unfamiliar place or with a unfamiliar person. I have had rescue pets and can understand that some need more attention and care than others and meeting each other before staying a night with each other can make it easier. I enjoy going for walks and tend to do about 2 miles in 30 mins. I understand some dogs need a good pace or distance to truly relax. Please message me I'd love to meet your fur baby. I am a mother so the times I am available tend to be while my own child is at school. Which will allow you to rest at ease knowing someone is caring for your fur baby. Having pets of my own I understand some animals are escape artists and will do everything possible to keep them safe. This includes when out walking, coming or going, checking the yard, and even crating them. There safety is extremely important let me know your concerns so that we can be on the same page.
About: I’d be more than happy to welcome your baby into my home! They will have as many potty breaks as needed ,they will be fed, and they will have fun. I aim to give your fur baby the best experience available. I’m sure your baby would fit right in. I offer special treatment/services if needed for your fur baby also! I look forward to hearing from you and I’m usually quick to reply back. If you have any questions or concerns, I’m just one message away. Thank you so much and I look forward to meeting you and your fur baby! I tend to form around most fur babies schedules. Some may sleep perfectly during the night and others may not. So my schedule really depends on your fur babies schedules. I typically like to ask for your fur babies favorite toy or snack this way each pet has a part of home with them. I like to get information on each baby about their typical day at home so that I can try my best to replicate that and keep them comfortable.

Abigail was wonderful! She came to our house twice a day to take care of our dogs. We have a Labradoodle and a Lab. They are both high energy big dogs. She took them for walks every morning and spent pool time with them in the evening. They loved her and we are so grateful that she was able to help us out! Kailyn did a great job watching our cat while we were away! She was very responsive, sent us pictures and updates during each visit, and took care of everything exactly as we asked. We also really appreciated that she left our house clean and tidy. It gave us peace of mind knowing our cat was in good hands, and we would definitely book with her again!

Patty was amazing! I reached out to her just over a week before my trip and she was very quick to respond. We scheduled an in-person meet and greet and she was on board to take care of my cat. During the 11 days of my booking, Patty was either always on time or early, sent me tons of pictures of my cat, changed his litter, and made sure the food/water levels weren’t running too low. Very responsive if I had any questions/concerns. I’ve used other cat sitters before but my cat has never warmed up to anyone as easily as he did with Patty. I will be referring Patty to all my friends/family/neighbours/colleagues who need a reliable and dependable cat sitter and will personally only be rebooking with Patty in the future.

This was our third time booking with Vanessa, and we couldn't be happier. Our cat absolutely adores her, and seeing how well she treats our 'little man' gives us so much peace of mind while we're away. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everything is handled, and her 100% professional approach makes the whole process seamless. We trust her implicitly with our little dude!

Diana was so great with my senior husky. I had a short notice request to drop in and check on my husky while I was going to out for the day. It was a great comfort knowing Cali was in caring and experienced hands. Diana also sent great updates and I’d highly recommend her to care for anyone’s fur babies.

This was our fist time using Rover, and I didn’t really know what to expect, but Brittany went above and beyond when taking care of our pets. Every day she visited, she truly spent quality time with our pets, making the most of her visit and being sure to leave a special note on how they were doing and send us lots of pictures. I am so appreciate of her kindness and love for animals. Thank you so much Brittany! 😊

So first time using this app and Jayden did amazing With Kenny she followed all my crazy instructions and texts and sent me videos and pictures. Kenny liked her and she gave him much needed attention. Jayden made me feel so comfortable and at ease. Thank you :)

We appreciated Samantha’s help with our two little old dogs so much! Our girl is particularly paralyzed, she had no problem helping her express her bladder. And our boy is an anxious mess when we leave, she was so patient and kind to him. We’d recommend Samantha to anyone! Thank you again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
