About: I've been petsitting on and off ever since I was 10 years old. I have a wide range of experience with dogs, from Pugs to Great Danes. I am comfortable administering medication and have done so with many of my clients. I am able to handle a wide range of temperaments, from shy rescue dogs to boisterous puppies. I also love doggy cuddles and truly enjoy taking care of animals! I am currently a full-time student in Lynchburg, so I will only be available for pet-sitting in this area until May. I am absolutely willing to work with each client based on their specific needs to set a schedule that works best for everyone! Because I am only offering dog walking and drop-by services, it completely depends on your house and what care you typically provide for your pets! I typically do work first then play, so I will focus on making sure your pet's needs are met before we cuddle and play.
About: I've had big dogs my entire life so I'm incredibly confident in my abilities to take the best care possible of your dogs! I get along great with dogs young and old as well as big and small and have had experience dealing with reactive dogs as well. I didn't have cats growing up due to family members' allergies but I have been cat sitting for a few years for my friends and I hope to one day own a cat as well :) I've also had experience working with fish, frogs, geckos, and other small animals. Most of my exposure and experience comes from growing up in the dog showing world, I have some experience with basic grooming and upkeep of dogs as well. About: I do not have any professional pet experience but I have owned pets my whole life which have included dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, parakeets, leopard geckos, rabbits and fish lol. House Sitting: 2-3 daily walks, daily fetch and/or tug game, scooping yard after each potty, cleaning your dog bowls inbetween meals, and stays longer than 4 days get a free nail clipping/Dremmel, if dog allows. If asked I also offer training aka reviewing already learned commands, dog enrichment games (such as snuffle matts), and daily brushouts. Doggy Daycare: I like to start each day with a mile walk all together. Then one on one playtime with my pup(s), if wanted. If you want your pup to have doggy playtime, they will have “cool down” times throughout the day. If a repeat client I offer a free bath every 3rd completed daycare day and free nail clipping/dremmel once a month (as needed), if dog allows. Dog Walking: I provide treats and will reward the dog with a treat when not pulling, so we can walk more safely and efficiently. If I notice the dog’s leash is connected to a collar or harness that is too loose, I may ask if I may tighten it. I do not feel comfortable walking dogs with items that they can easily slip, and may decline an offer, if one is not willing to tighten it. I want all the dogs I walk to be completely safe and not be able to slip out and run. Rates do not go up if dog pulls, is reactive, or dog/ stranger aggressive.
