I was in the planning stages of a tentative trip when I reached out to him and he really took the time to answer all my questions and even ask his own to ensure a successful stay for Ella. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and so kind in his communication from the planning stages, during Ella’s stay, to pick up. He has such a warm and calm demeanor that put both Ella and I at ease. At drop off, Ella and he were fast friends and he really took the time to get to know Ella and help make her feel welcome and comfortable. He sent regular updates and pictures the whole time so I never had to worry how she was doing. And she had an absolute blast! She’s not the easiest dog, she’s still working on a lot and has a ton of energy and he handled her impeccably. He mentioned he has experience with rescue dogs and that really shown through in his demeanor and connection with her. She felt safe and was her playful happy self when I picked her up. He was nice and organized and had her things in order and ready when I got there. He had given her a nice walk and some water right before knowing she had a decent car ride home. I was just so impressed. Will definitely be back. Cannot recommend Nathan enough!”

About: There has always been a dog, or two, in my home, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Your furry friend will be treated like family here! We go for walks a couple times a day, have shared or individual space, and have a dog door to a fenced in area throughout the day. Working from home, I am able to take the pups on walks at lunch and before and/or after work. They will have constant company throughout the day! I have a large yard to leash walk dogs, a finished/heated garage with a dog door to a fenced in area, so pups can go outside as they'd like between walks. I treat all animals as if they are my own; they are welcome on some furniture, have a warm and comfortable space, can meet dietary/medical needs, and will have multiple walks throughout the day.

About: I had pets all through childhood and now I've got 4 dogs and 8 indoor cats plus some chickens and ducks. We also have 2 children who adore animals. My skills with pets is heating what they are saying and getting on their level, or giving them space o If needed. I am on short term disability due to medical issues of the autoimmune variety so I am home all the time! I can let dogs out when needed and play with cats. I have lots of availability. I have a fenced in backyard for the dogs (6 foot high wire fence), crates, kennels, rooms that can be shut off from the house, etc. Our animals can also be sectioned off if necessary for the stay.

“Bowser had an amazing time at Charles and Christina's home! He has so much energy it was so good for him to run around in the fenced in backyard and playing with Emily and Roscoe. I felt at ease because I kept getting pictures/text updates on how well he was doing. I also picked him up and he was clean - which was unexpected since it was raining! About: As a lifelong dog owner, I know the importance of feeling confidence in your pet’s care while you are away – for the day or for weeks. I grew up with German Shepards, Labrador Retrievers, Weimaraners, and of course your traditional mutts. I’m comfortable with medium and large breeds with varying degrees of energy and structure needs. In adulthood I’ve dedicated myself to seniors and pups with special needs. My current pack is all neutered males - Riley (12), Vinnie (17), Gilroy (4, Cerebellar Aplasia), and Louie (4, Blind). Everyone in the pack is dog friendly and more importantly I know them well and how to navigate introducing new members. Pack management is a critical and advantageous skill I live in a single family detached home with a large fenced in yard. The dogs are allowed on the furniture. I have extra crates, cots, dog beds, and toys. With a traditional cape style, I can also keep pack members separate if needed, especially at mealtime to keep everyone safe. My home and I have been approved by three different reputable rescues in the last 3 years. I have established relationships with not only my local vet, Dirigo, but also specialists at Maine Veterinary Medical Center. I have experience with high needs behavioral and physical pups. Though I do not think taking in an aggressive dog into the pack for sitting is a good idea, I am comfortable and understand dogs with anxiety that might need some extra time or care. I have experience with dogs paralyzed in the back end, cerebellar hypoplasia (wobbly), cerebellar aplasia (no balance), hydrocephalus, blindness, senior needs, puppy needs and training. In the last year my pack has included three more pups (may two rest in peace, and one continue to live his best life with his forever mom) and so I open my home to boarding knowing that my current boys are already okay with new members. If you have any questions please reach out! I work from home five days a week. I work from home full-time and can navigate my schedule most days by the needs of the pack. Without a doubt they can go outside whenever they need. At most during the week I could leave the house from 1-3 hours. I will sometimes need to leave the house for 2-6 hours at a time especially on weekends, but can arrange any accommodation that makes your pup comfortable – free, crate, room etc. All dogs are allowed on the couch and my bed, though not all will sleep on the bed at night. I make sure to have a dog bed available for each pup in the house and have crate options too if individual space makes your pup feel more comfortable. The house is set up so that all living is on the first floor, so there are only two stairs into the home and two stairs off of the deck. During the warmer months I have a dog door for free access to the fenced in yard. However, in the winter months I maintain taking the dogs out at regular intervals. All dogs will be fed safely alone so no issues are allowed to develop. All stairs inside are blocked off either by baby gate or doors (for my blind boy). Pack management is key to safety and with lots of experience I know I can navigate it well.

Nicole was also really great about accommodating our schedule as we were running late on pick up. We did not have a good experience boarding Mia at a kennel and found Rover. This was the first time we tried out a dog sitter through Rover. I can't say enough about how wonderful Nicole was with Mia. For an in-home, loving, no-crate experience – it was a great stay for Mia and will we definitely be boarding Mia again with Nicole! Thanks, Nicole for taking care of Mia! ”
