“Another great sitting service by Simon! My dog was again, very well taken care of. Could not be more grateful for the attention Simon gives to my dog and making sure he’s okay while I’m away.”

“I recommend Sylvia for anyone looking for a trustworthy cat sitter. She kept me updated with photos and followed all of my instructions perfectly. It gave me great peace of mind knowing my cats were in such caring hands while I was away.”

“Samantha is the best. She is so caring to our babies and detail-oriented. Our family is so happy to have found her and plan on utilizing her drop in services as much as she allows us to!”

About: I went to school for 2 years to become a veterinary assistant, work 4 days a week and love what I do and enjoy being around animals in my spare time :) I enjoy drawing and painting in my free time and consider myself a care free individual. I have a dog of my own, a 7 year old beagle mix named Jaxx. Very outgoing and loves to play but what do you expect with a pup? Besides painting and working I enjoy watching my favorite show (Greys Anatomy or The Office) and laying back listening to music. I hope this answers most of your questions about me and I hope you take the chance to message me about taking care of your pet :) you won’t regret it! LoveHas4Paws :) I am mostly flexible with my job to fit your needs of pet sitting aside from starting school in December one day a week mostly. I come to the clients home to make the fur baby feel less stressed and relaxed since they are in their own home and give them all the love (and treats) lol
“Hailey comes and checks on my 5 year old Lab a couple times a week. She always gives a good recap of the visit and enforces the manners I want from my dog. I will definitely keep rebooking with her!”

“Analise is great at communication, follows instructions perfectly, and makes our cat feel very relaxed and special. I'm so glad she made time for us again. Thank you!”

About: I’ve had pets my whole life growing up, from all sizes and ages. I currently have an 80 lb German Shepard-Lab-retriever mix, and a 4 week old kitten. I’ve had adult cats, puppies, and fostered. I am currently not working and on summer break before I go back to college at the end of the month so I have lots of free time! I’m more than happy to do drop bys. I can take dogs on walks, let them outside and bring them back in, crate, give treats with commands, etc. Whatever you need! And lots of pets.
“Destiny took wonderful care of Danny and Ella! She was responsible, reliable, attentive, and very caring. I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in such good hands. She communicated well, followed all instructions, and treated them with so much kindness. I would absolutely trust Destiny to care for them again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable and thoughtful!”

About: While I am new to pet sitting, I’ve spent my whole life taking care of my own pets as well as pet sitting/ house sitting for family while they’re away. I have experience with animals ranging for dogs, cats, fish and guinea pigs! I have experience with the importance of following routines, giving fresh food and water, cleaning up accidents, giving potty breaks, making sure pets feel safe and comfortable, and since I work in a hospital, recognizing changes in behavior. When caring for your pet I will: - Give adequate potty breaks throughout the day. - Follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. -Keep litter boxes, food bowls, and water bowls clean. -Take your dog on walks (if requested). - Send regular photo and video updates so you know how your pet is doing. -Treat your home with respect by keeping it clean, locking doors and windows, bringing in packages if requested, and following any household instructions you leave. -Most importantly, make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable until you return home!
“I was very pleased with Jocelyn's Drop-In visits while we were away. She was great at keeping me informed of her daily visits by both texts and photos while caring for our cat, Dexter. She was very professional and performed all items that were listed. I felt comfortable and relaxed having her supervision while on vacation.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 371 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Verona. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Verona. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
