“Aubrey was so wonderful! She came to my home to walk my dog and play with him the week of Thanksgiving. She was cordial, friendly, would communicate promptly and send updates when needed. I’m very thankful I chose her to help with my lab! I could also tell that she really cared for animals and loved taking care of my boy. Thank you Aubrey!”

“Shannon's been to walk Hap twice. Each time she is attentive, a brisk walker, asks relevant questions, and leaves him with a warm-hearted pat. My second dog allows her to pet him and we are working towards him following her out the door to the back yard. Shannon is very patient with him. She was punctual and cheery. I feel confident in her with my dogs. 5 Stars!”

About: Ever since I was little, I've been raised around and myself raised dogs; starting with my family breeding CKC rat terriers, then rescuing an abused German shepherd, to my current dog being a Yorkie, I'm comfortable around dogs of all shapes and sizes. While not certified, I am working with clicker training my Yorkie and I can usually teach basic obedience commands; I am also comfortable with attempting to reinforce any behaviors you are trying to teach. I currently am not working but am a live-in helper for my grandmother. Besides taking her shopping and to appointments, I'm pretty open through out weekdays and weekends. While I am offering walking services mainly, I am comfortable following any instructions you might have for if I have to enter your home either to stay a few hours or just stop by for feedings and potty breaks. While I consider myself able to handle larger dogs, I cannot handle poorly trained large dogs that will drag me and dislocate my shoulder. If you are training the dog to walk more calmly on a leash, I feel comfortable reinforcing your training if it is safe to do so.

About: I have always had pets of my own my entire life. I am also the go to dog walker, kitty sitter, and fish feeder in my neighborhood. With my medical skills ( with specific instruction from you) I can administer pills and medications as needed. I am highly responsible and will treat your fur babies with much love and follow your routines to keep them happy. I am happy to take them for many walks and play as much ball as they would like:) As a homeowner and pet owner myself. I can appreciate also that leaving your pets in the care of a stranger can be nerve wracking. I will treat your home and pets with the same care and respect I give mine. Since I’m retired, I have the flexibility and availability to give your pets the attention, companionship, and care they deserve throughout the day. Whether your dog loves playtime, walks, cuddles or simply having someone nearby. I will make sure they feel comfortable and cared for as if they were my own. Your pup will be treated like family in my home. I have a large fenced-in yard for safe playtime, they are welcome to my entire home—no being confined to a kennel unless that’s what they are used to and prefer. They will always be treated like one of my own 🐾 ❤️
About: I've been taking care of animals since i was a child. As a professional, I have over six years of animal boarding and dog training experience. I have experience in animal bathing, and administering medications for both cats and dogs. I love working with young animals, but i adore senior pets the most. I would love to take care of your baby! If you are interested in dog training just let me know. I'm experienced in balanced-dog training and have trained over a hundred dogs through housecalls and group classes. For a typical day, it's potty breaks and breakfast first thing in the morning. If I don't have any housecalls, I'll be home with your pet. Your pet will get potty breaks every 1.5 hours on minimum until their last potty break at 8 p.m. Your pet will get 2 walks a day either around your neighborhood or at a dog park. If I do have housecalls to attend to, my work day will cut short so your pet won't be alone for too long. If I'm doing a dog training housecall, the lesson is typically one hour. We will go over one or two commands at a time and we will train the dog until i feel that the client and dog have a good understanding of what's going on. I can usually cover over basic obedience in eight lessons. I try to schedule these lessons once every week, but its all based on the clients schedule. I never let your out of my sight while their are in my care. The only times I would ever leave pet would be to go to housecalls or gather supplies. I will take your pet on walks, training practice and provide them with a bath if you ask me or if they get too dirty while in my care.

About: I’ve worked at an animal shelter for a year and a half, where I gained hands on experience caring for animals of all temperaments and ages. My responsibilities included walking dogs, feeding, cleaning, and safely administering medications when needed. Working in a shelter environment has taught me patience, attention to detail, and how to make animals feel safe and comfortable, even in stressful situations. I also have two cats and a dog of my own, so I understand the level of love, responsibility, and care our pets deserve. I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my entire life, and caring for animals has always been a true passion of mine. Being around them isn’t just a job to me, it’s something I genuinely love. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine. Between caring for my own two cats and dog, I’m used to planning my days around feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and making sure pets feel loved and secure. Adding your pet to my routine is something I truly enjoy and prioritize. I’m flexible with scheduling and happy to work around your pet’s specific needs to keep their routine consistent and stress-free. Please check my calendar for the specific days you need care. When caring for pets in your home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress free as possible. I know how important consistency is for animals, so I stick closely to their usual feeding schedules, walk times, play routines, and any special instructions you provide. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own. Whether that means long walks, extra playtime, quiet companionship, or administering medication, I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs and personality.
“Jennifer came thru with a short-notice appointment after THREE SITTERS ghosted me :D. She made herself accommodating to my dog who is sometimes grouchy with strangers and I can't wait to have the peace of mind scheduling a nice, polite, responsible dog walker.”

About: Hello! My name is Nicole, and caring for animals isn't just something I do—it's something I genuinely love. With over 10 years of experience caring for animals of all sizes and personalities, I've been fortunate to work with everything from dogs and cats to horses, cows, pigs, and many other wonderful animals. Whether your companion is small and cuddly or big and full of energy, I treat every pet like they're part of my own family. I know that life doesn't always go as planned, which is why I'm happy to accommodate both last-minute bookings whenever my schedule allows and reservations made well in advance. Whether you need someone in an hour or you're planning months ahead, I'd love to help. I'm CPR certified and experienced in administering medications and providing basic treatments, so you can feel confident your pets are in capable, caring hands while you're away. My priority is making sure they feel safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for, while giving you peace of mind knowing they're receiving the attention they deserve. I can't wait to meet you and your furry (or feathered, or hoofed!) family members and provide the same love and care I would give my own. Your pet will enjoy plenty of company and attention while staying with me! Someone is home in my household almost all day, with the exception of about four hours, so your pet will never be left alone for long periods. This means frequent bathroom breaks, regular feeding times, and lots of love, supervision, and attention throughout the day. My goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for just like they would at home. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My home provides a secure, welcoming environment where animals can relax, play, and enjoy their time away from home. I have a small fenced-in yard, perfect for safe outdoor time, quick potty breaks, and supervised play. For pups who love to run and explore, there’s also a dog park right in my community, giving them extra space and opportunities for fun, exercise, and socialization (based on your comfort level). Inside, pets have access to plenty of toys, cozy spots to rest, and a calm environment where they can feel at ease. I offer frequent walks and outdoor time throughout the day to make sure they stay active, stimulated, and happy. Whether your pet prefers relaxing cuddles or energetic play, they’ll have a safe, enriching environment to enjoy during their stay.
About: I have had dogs, sometimes multiple ones, all my life. I am an animal lover, and advocate, of all kinds of animals. I just lost my Maltese of 13 years old which traveled the world with me literally. I was only away from him for two nights his whole life, and that was bc he spent the night at the vets one night, and I spent the night at the hospital one night. He went everywhere with me. From restaurants to Walmart. If I went he went. I have no children, so he was my child. I will treat your baby with the same love, and care. I have a newly build house with an acre that is fenced in. So, if your dog is large and likes to run outside, it can. I also have a screened in back porch. You baby will be safe and loved in my home. I am retired and spend most of my time at home. So your dog will be supervised, as per hour request. I am flexible and will listen to the owners request, as much as possible. I have a fenced in acre of land. I also have a screen in back porch. If you have small dogs, they can run freely, and I would stay outside to watch them. If you have large dogs they can stay out all they want. Dogs love me! They know if you are of good character, or not.

About: I’ve taking care of pets my whole life. In High school I wanted to be a veterinarian so I got an internship at a local vet clinic. Did the internship for a couple of months then got a job taking care of the dogs in the kennel for boarding. I did that for about 3 1/2 years. I also have two dogs of my own! I work part time at a restaurant and I don’t really have a set day of when i’ll be available. Every schedule is different but I mostly work nights and available during the day. I have a fenced yard and two pups to keep your dog company. Also have two crates for a small to medium dog. thank you

About: Hi I'm Melissa and I am a 46 mother and homemaker. I am here to make your time away from your pet worry free and accommodate your pet care and/or house sitting needs while you are away. I have plenty of experience over my lifetime and even worked at a veterinary clinic with an assortment of different animals. I have a two month old puppy named Max and he loves other animals. I can provide plenty of references to ease your mind and have a very flexible schedule. I'd be happy to help you through the holidays or any other time of the year you could use an extra hand . Please feel free to contact me at your convenience and I look forward to meeting you and your pets. Thanks for looking and have a great day. I work from home and homeschool my 7 year old, I focus focus on Max's training throughout the day because this is a crucial time in his life where he needs to learn so many things. I make sure my days stay as flexible as they can be so we all get through them as a team and are still laughing at the end of it. With that being said as I am available to board a senior dog or special needs dog but I wouldn't prefer to have one at doggy day care on a regular basis until Max is older and has more training. I have a huge fenced in yard and lots of toys to play with. Max loves it out there and we have a little pool and a doggy house.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
