“I can not say enough wonderful things about Lauren! Our 3 pups stayed for a couple of nights and it was a great experience! They had so much room to run and play and seemed right at home! I know they were well taken care of and we can’t wait to use Lauren’s services again!”

“We had such an amazing experience with Stephanie! She was so easy to work with, responded to any questions quickly and sent lots of updates while she was watching the dogs, which I always appreciate. I felt completely at ease the entire time they were with her. She made the process so stress free. The dogs had a wonderful time and got lots and lots of love and attention. 100/10”

“Amber went out of her way to make Snowflake feel at home. She even went to the store and bought her some chicken to boil because she didn’t want to eat her dog food. She was good to keep in touch and answer my questions soon after I asked them. She is a great sitter for my girl! I hope to book her to keep Snowflake again soon. Thank you, Amber!”

“We left our German Shepherd with Christa and her family over the 4th of July wknd for 5 days. We couldn’t have been more happy with how his stay went. We received pictures and updates daily. We know Kane had a great time with her & the kids. They were very kind and welcoming when we arrived, we knew as soon as we dropped him off that he was in great hands! Highly recommend :)”

“I was very impressed with how well Terry took care of Buster. You could tell she really loves animals. He loved being with her! She took him for walks and spent a lot of time with him on her back porch. She asked lots of questions to ensure Buster was getting everything he needed. She continually sent me little messages about their day and adorable photos. I will definitely use her as a sitter again. Thank you so much Terry!”

“Beth was fantastic! Great at communicating and very kind and accommodating. Our Maggie was provided with lots of great play space and love and care! Would highly recommend to anyone!”

“I am grateful that Desiree was willing to take our dog over the holidays when our boarding plans were canceled. Her home is in a rural location and excellent for dogs who are accustomed to an outdoor setting. Our pet was well taken care of and we received daily pictures.”

About: I am very attentive to all animals. I allow animals in the house, and on the furniture. I have a dog that gets along great with other animals. I am willing to feed, and groom. I am easy going, and am very easy to get along with. I am very accommodating to every need that your sweet pet may need. I can’t wait to work with you and your sweet babies! Hope to hear from you soon! I have a schedule that is different from most. I am a paramedic, so I work 24 hours at a time and off 48 hours. I am willing to keep whatever schedule your baby has going as normal as possible for them. I will feed and administer medication as needed. They have free range of the house and a yard to go potty.

“Candace is so sweet. She took care of Jersey like he was her own. He was so loved he almost didn’t want to leave lol. She sent updates and communicated daily. My son felt his best friend, Jersey, was treated like family. I would recommend her to anyone!!! Can’t wait to use her again. Amazing!!”

About: I’ve always had a passion for animals of all kinds. I attended school for veterinary technology, giving me a strong foundation in animal health and care. Beyond that, I’ve worked with a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, farm animals, reptiles, and birds. I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs, and I’m not intimidated by just about any animal. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care that gives you peace of mind and keeps your pets happy, safe, and comfortable. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate most visit times, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and many last-minute requests. If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Valley Head home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Valley Head.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
