“We left our German Shepherd with Christa and her family over the 4th of July wknd for 5 days. We couldn’t have been more happy with how his stay went. We received pictures and updates daily. We know Kane had a great time with her & the kids. They were very kind and welcoming when we arrived, we knew as soon as we dropped him off that he was in great hands! Highly recommend :)”

“Amber did great with my Audrey. When I picked her up she was clean and happy. It was clear that Audrey had a good time with Amber and her family. If I’m looking for a Rover in this area again, I will definitely use her again.”

“Lauren and her family are the best! Our pup is loved on, taken on a ton of walks and adventures and comes back tired and happy!! We had a little bit of a longer day with flights back, and they were flexible with pick up times and sent cute pictures along the way as well :)”

“Stephanie was AMAZING!! Whatever word is better than amazing, that’s what she is! She and her family made my furbaby feel so much at home and loved on her just as I do!! I got updates with photos and videos which is so very thoughtful. Stephanie went above and beyond keeping my Mercy longer when our flights home were canceled. Stephanie will forever be someone that I recommend to family and friends!”

“Parker was an outstanding sitter for Zeus. He looked happy when I arrived and he didn't want to leave. Patrick took pictures and provided updates on a daily basis. I felt very comfortable with leaving Zeus with him.”

“We could not have asked for a better experience for our fur babies. Bobbi Jo and Adam took such good care of all 3 of our pups. I can’t recommend them highly enough!”

“I’m so thankful for the amazing care Elysa gave my dog, Roxy! 🐾 From the moment they met, I could tell Roxy felt comfortable and happy. Elysa didn’t just pet sit, she went above and beyond. She took Roxy on relaxing strolls, kept me updated with the cutest pictures 📸, and even gave her a little grooming session to keep her looking her best! ✨ I could really tell that Roxy was loved and well cared for the whole time. I highly recommend Elysa to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and genuinely caring pet sitter. Thank you so much again, Elysa! 🐶💛”

About: I have worked at a vets office going on 8 years now as a vet technician. I studied animal science at Auburn University. I have dog/cat sat for several years. I work an early shift as a superintendent. With my schedule I would still be able to do early early morning around 3/3:30 and mid afternoon check ins. I have 4 dogs that love to have friends to play with. I have a fenced in yard, but walk mine daily. I am a few minutes from Albertville’s Dog Park where my dogs love to go run and play.
About: I am very attentive to all animals. I allow animals in the house, and on the furniture. I have a dog that gets along great with other animals. I am willing to feed, and groom. I am easy going, and am very easy to get along with. I am very accommodating to every need that your sweet pet may need. If there are any medications or a certain diet that must be followed, I will make sure it happens. I have references to ease your mind, and to reassure you that your baby is in good hands. I can’t wait to work with you and your sweet babies! Hope to hear from you soon! I have a schedule that is different from most. I am a paramedic, so I work 24 hours at a time and off 48 hours. I am also active and looking for things to do on my two days off. My kids and I enjoy animals so much that we would love to bring a new friend around in our home. I am willing to keep whatever schedule your baby has going as normal as possible for them. I will feed and administer medication as needed. They have free range of the house and a yard to go potty.
“Dustin was absolutely amazing! He took such great care of Juno. I didn’t worry one second about her. He kept me informed throughout her stay, let her run and play, and pampered her better than I do! I can’t recommend Dustin for pet sitting and boarding highly enough.”

“Sarra was very accommodating for a last minute get away. She sent frequent updates with pictures and was very friendly at drop off and pick up. It was such a pleasure meeting her and I am really glad I found a loving sitter for our fur baby. I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs and I will definitely be a repeat customer!”

Pet care isn’t an add-on to my schedule—it is my schedule. I structure my days around walks, feedings, training, and enrichment so dogs get consistent care, calm handling, and predictable routines. Each visit is planned, not rushed, and adjusted to the dog’s needs, energy level, and household expectations. Weekly, I build in flexibility for longer stays, special needs, and last-minute requests while maintaining reliability and communication. Dogs thrive on consistency, and my routine is built to provide exactly that. I provide structured, attentive care tailored to each pet and household—whether in my home or a client’s. In a client’s home, I follow the pet’s established routine for feeding, walks, medications, and enrichment to minimize stress. I focus on calm, confident handling, safety, and clear communication, with updates after each visit. In my home, pets receive a quiet, controlled environment with supervised interactions, structured rest, exercise, and individualized attention. About: I’ve taken care of animals since the young age of 10 and have always been an animal lover of all animals and have owned several dogs. I have always trained my own from potty training, crate training, to shaking hands, and have always done amazing with them. I’ve rescued several animals and strays. I absolutely love all fur babies and enjoy taking them on hikes and would love to take your fur baby on a hike or to play fetch. I work a full time job Monday-Wednesday with having a very short work day on Thursdays. I always have the spare time throughout my off days and will be able to take good care of your fur babies at all times. I have a huge yard with one fur baby that could keep yours company. About: Hi! My name is Sammi and I have 12+ years of taking care of all varieties of animals. I currently own 2 dogs (1 aussie and 1 recently rescued great pyreneese) , 2 cats, 4 horses and 2 reptiles of my own. I have worked with rescues, shelters and non-profits in the past so I am skilled in caring for animals with all kinds of needs. I also work from home with a flexible schedule so I am able to accommodate special requests and special needs animals during the week for those that need more attention. I look forward to speaking with you about how I can best help you and your animals! I currently work from home with flexible hours so am available usually from 8am to 8pm each day, with flexibility where needed. I currently walk my own dogs a mile or two every other day, with them being walked on the property every 4 hours for exercise. I live on 8 acres with woods so plenty of room for dogs to run around and play. I currently do not have a fenced in yard, but have multiple tether setups and/or long line leashes to walk dogs on and let them roam a bit while controlled. My 2 dogs are males who are friendly with others and love to play outside in the backyard. Since I am home during the day, all animals get lots of cuddles in my house (allowed on furniture) and constant interaction of bones, toys, tug of war, toys etc. I do have separate areas that dogs can be crated in alone if preferred. I do also have 2 cats that are dog friendly but have their own room they can be closed off in if needed.

I’d love to get to know your fur babies! I have a fenced in backyard, with a doggy door to my back door- that can easily be closed off/shut. I have a spare bedroom so your baby could have its own room while visiting, or can easily spend the night in my room & share each other’s company!

Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
